Episode 19

Mike holds the gun nervously as he points the gun at the head of the man in charge.

The four men take their step slowly towards Mike as they are careful to not make him panic making him pull the trigger.

Even tho Mike is still pointing the gun at their boss, the four are still walking as they know that he will not pull the trigger.

From their perspective, Mike is just your average kid who can't handle seeing someone die.

Mike already knew what they thinking so he thinks of another way to escape without anyone dying.

(It's futile to escape to the sides or go back to the crowd of guards. Quick, where can I go?!)

He greeted his teeth as the time is gold for him to get suppressed by these four men.

The four are already circling Mike on all sides making his escape even more futile.

Just like the last time he got cornered bt getting surrounded on every side.

As his brain gathers intel in fast pace a cold voice whispers into his thoughts.

[Why not just shoot them?]

(!?) It made Mike surprised by the sudden voice as he felt cold chill in a moment.

What voice had said is indeed true as it's more effective than escaping. Even the four will not expect it for him to shoot them.

(No, no, no! Isn't it bad!? Why would I do that!?) He protests to the voice but it did not reply.

Mike didn't expect it to respond so he just looks at the four who are slowly going near him.

The distance between them is getting shorter and shorter.

Mike knew that but what he didn't expect is that his hand is not shaking in fear anymore as it grips the gun well, ready to point and fire through his command.

He felt relaxed as it telling him it's okay to shoot.

It may be his first time holding a gun but he felt like he is born with it.

(... No...) He feels bad as he desires to shoot.

(I-It would be fine, right?)

He gave up resisting in his urge and let his instinct do the work.

Mike quickly points the gun on one of the four and shoot it with a bam without them expecting it.

*BAM!*

Their reaction was late as Mike quickly changes his target and shoot and changes his target again until four of them got shot.

*BAM! BAM! BAM!*

It was surprising that all of the bullets hit their target at such speed.

The man in charge is also speechless (literally) in the spectacle that he had seen.

Mike may be deliberately done it or a fluke but the bullets did not hit their vitals.

He can use the gun well but it can't change the fact that he is not used to taking someone's life.

(W-what? Scary, I didn't think that someone would get Awaken in a short time! I need to tell this to captain!)

The man in charge struggles as he forces his muscles to slip through Mike's grip.

Thankfully, he managed to escape as Mike is still dumbfounded on what he did.

He sprinted with all of his might away from Mike who is still gathering his thoughts.

With the sounds of the gun, some of the guards went to examine the situation.

The man in charge quickly orders them to guard him as he needed to tell this new information to the so-called captain.

"Go asks for back up! That kid must not be regrouped with the others!" shouted as he runs straight away from Mike.

Mike realizes that his capture got escaped but he didn't bother to chase it as it's better to let him go than to gather attention to himself.

(Firstly, I need to give this to Carlo.) He already obtained the stuff he gotten from the man in charge so his mission here is complete.

The guards are coming here in a second that they even hastened as they heard the gunshot from here.

In the lower deck of the ship.

Rin and the other twenty thugs are checking every room they find and rescue the others that got left behind.

The problem here is that the rooms are too many to count that even with their numbers.

They had thought about splitting up but it would be a bad flag that will make them lead to getting captured by the guards. It's not from their hunch but it's from watching horror movies on t.v at the cafeteria in the past.

Someone from the group had thanked the movie that they had watched for making them rescue others more efficiently.

But even with the help of the movie, they can't change the fact that they still encounter guards from every room they barged in.

It's not long ago since they left from the others and started rescue by Carlo's orders.

They also wanted to save the others as they treat each other like family even tho they are living as thugs.

They managed to rescue about eight people in the process making eight out of twenty-one people are carrying one body.

(The numbers are little than I expected. Even with this number, we can fight one or three guards if we encounter them.)

They continued for an hour and no casualty has yet happened to them.

In just an hour they gather twenty-seven people in total.

Their situation is bad as there is no way of protecting themselves from the guards because all of them even Rin is carrying one or two people at their backs.

In the process of their rescue, they noticed something in their body that instead of getting weakened from hunger and injuries they are somehow fine as they can even use their strength as time goes on.

But with that in hand, their situation is still bad as they need to go back, asap.

Rin commanded one of the thugs who remembered the route to go back to lead them.

Maybe because of the gunshot sound there are no guards at the lower deck as they got safely went back to Carlo.

No one fainted nor no one got hurt. What an impressive result they had done since the time Mike showed up in their lives.

Carlo is impressed by their achievement, but the brawl is still not finished.

The one that they didn't expect that the thugs are still fine as they continued fighting on the numerous guards that are still flowing out from the doors of the ship.

Even Leo's group is still fighting well.

Maybe they fight gets even better than the last time because of the weapons they scavenged from the guards that they beat.

They even formed groups for defense and attack to maintain their position against numerous enemies as they use the terrain of the ship to their advantage.

Food? Stamina? What's that? Sorry, but being normal is not in their dictionary.

Even some of them did not sleep since the time they are stuck in that dark room.

Carlo can now stand up alone even without someone helping him.

Many miracles had happened that makes Rin question out his thoughts to Carlo.

"Well, Leo said that this might be the cause of speed-up something. Even if you ask me what it is... I only know that we can now fight without foods or resting." Carlo answers him sneerily as he is happy that not luck but a miracle is on their side.

An hour ago, Leo noticed something had change into his body. The change did not only happens to him but to everyone who is fighting the guards.

The guards did not show any improvements as it shows that only the young are the ones that can get this phenomenon.

Rin understands the situation yet he asks another question as he noticed something among the brawl.

"Where is Mike?"

"He just disappeared without saying anything. I don't care what will happen to him as I only focus

on the people who are fighting the guards."

"Uh-huh and...uhm...let me ask one last question... where is Daniel?"

Now that he mentions it Leo's group is missing one of their members.

No matter where you look from here you can't find Daniel.

It makes Rin a little mad that Daniel who is supposed to be the guard to Carlo is not here.

"Ah him! He said that he wanted to follow Mike. He also disappeared as I can't find him anymore."

He continued. "Well without him here I can finally breathe freely without sharing oxygen with him," Carlo said it with a happy tone showing that he truly hates Daniel.

Rin can only show a wry smile as he is relieved that his boss is alright even without someone guarding him.

"Don't make that smile in front of me it's making me think of that brat."

"Ah. Sorry." Rin quickly bows his head.

An hour ago.

"Chase that kid!"

"Don't let him re-group with others!"

Guards are shouting to their team nearby to convey the orders the man in charge had said to them.

Mike is running around in circles as he went to go inside the ship's upper deck to hide from the guards.

*pant pant* He managed to cut them off thanking that the lights inside the upper deck are dim compared to the lower deck like the ship has problems or something.

He is in the storage room where meats are stored.

It's quite freezing that Mike wanted to go out as soon as possible but can't as guards are still roaming around the deck.

(As soon I get out of here I wanted that meat over there!) thought by Mike as he drools wanting to devour the cooked meat outside of the meat storage. The only thing the betweens them is this door.

His stomach growls in hunger complaining that it hadn't digest anything since they got kidnapped.

Mike understands his stomach very well as he plans for his strategy to get the food without getting caught.

He opens the door slowly hoping that the door would not squeak out to convey his presence that he is in the kitchen.

Mike stretches his hand trying to get the juicy meat that is just lying at the plate in the middle of the table. It's like the meat is waiting for someone to eat him and digest him to someone's stomach.

(Food! Food!)

As he was about to grab the meat he grabs the air.

He is confused and looks at the meat.

The meat is gone.

Someone is standing beside the stable eating the meat that Mike is trying to get.

He is just standing there looking at Mike with pathetic eyes.

He is not small enough to call shorty or tall enough to call him a titan.

"How cute."

"Look here! I wanted that meat!"

Mike shouted a complaint as he didn't care that if there are guards nearby.

The one that is eating the meat is Daniel.

He is quite a sneaky making Mike hardly notice him.

Daniel follows Mike as he knew that if there is a way to escape, Mike would definitely use the opportunity without telling the others as long that he can escape away from here to safety.

Daniel just looks at Mike while eating the meat without having a thought to share it with Mike.

Mike's eyes are about to produce tears like a kid who didn't get what want.

Somehow Daniel thought that it was interesting that he finds another side of Mike.

He chuckles in the spectacular he seen to him but as he chuckles he did not notice the meat he is holding disappeared from his hands only to be found in the mouth of Mike.

He is already outside the meat storage and eating the meat that supposed to him.

Even Daniel who had eagle-like eyes can't follow Mike's moves.

Thank heaven that there are no guards around the vicinity when Mike shouts angrily.

The situation is still severe but it was not worse like earlier where most of the people are about to collapse in a moment.
