Jade p.o.v

'mmm, so warm.' snuggling closer to the warmth, until she realized that it was Ben's body. She froze and tried to move only to be held tighter by Ben's arm.

She turned her head slightly to look at Ben. "Good morning princess." He whispered in her ear.

'no way this was happening to me! I can't be sleeping with him he is my teacher. Even though his hair is cute, his chest is smooth, his eyes are adorable, and being in his arm feels good. I can't be here.' Jade thought to herself.

Jade was ready to go get something to eat because she was ready to get out of the situation she was already in.

"I'm hungry," Jade said feeling anxious about how close they were. It wasn't the closeness that bothered her no. It was that she could feel him, and came to the realization that he was just in pajama pants.

The main thing that she couldn't stop wondering about was how come she was also in her sleepwear. (for my perverted potatoes like me no she is not just in her underwear. She is wearing shorts, and a T-shirt)

They both got out of bed and headed downstairs. Once they were downstairs in the living room they saw Kayla watching TV.

"Good morning, love birds!"

Jade blushed, and Ben glared at his sister earning them a smirk from Kayla.

They made it in the kitchen. Jade went to sit at the kitchen table. Ben went to the island looking at her. "What do we want to eat?" He asked Jade.

Jade looked off to the side to think. She faced his way and smiled. "Gravy 'n' Biscuit, and bacon."

He smiled. He turned around and started cooking.

I had been in the hospital for a while now waiting for her to get better. When the doctor comes down the hall stopping in front of me.

I get up to hear the news. "Are you here for Ms.Edens?"

"Yes, how is she doing?" I asked concerned.

"Not so well. If I may ask who exactly are you to Mrs.Edens?"

Before I could answer that question Joshua walks up to us and glares at me.

Joshua pov

2 weeks ago before Joshua and Jade's mother left the house.

"Mom hurries up or we are gonna be late for the doctor's appointment."

I rushed mom out the door, trying to leave before Ben, and Jade got home.

I left them a note. More likely Jade. Ben and I talked about it yesterday.

I helped mom in the car, and we were on our way. "What do you think they are gonna say?"

I looked at her and smiled. It pains me to know that she was sick. It pains me more to keep it away from Jade.

"I don't know. We can only hope for the best I suppose, but your gonna be okay mom." She smiled back at my words.

It hurts knowing the person who means the world to you because she raised you is on their death bed.

It was early in the morning everyone was still asleep, and I couldn't get any. I made my way up to my mother's room to find her on the phone.

"They say it's getting worse. I can't let the kids find out, this tumor could get worse."

'what does she mean she has a tumor?"

I walk in the door. Before she could say a word. "Mom, you're sick?"

The specialist we were going to was all the way in New Orleans. I hope Jade will be alright.

~Time skip~

By the time we got to New Orleans, it was late at night. We rent a hotel for a couple of days not sure about how long we were gonna stay there. We weren't gonna stay with my father.

If Jade knew or found out she wouldn't forgive us for keeping it a secret from her.

"Ready for tomorrow mom?" I asked while we got situated for the night.

She nodded her head, but the look on her face said otherwise.

"What's wrong mother?"

"I just hate keeping this from Jade. The surgery and everything. What if I don't make it? What if I won't be able to fix this problem?"

I went over to my mother's side. I hate seeing her this way, but I can't help what she thinks.

"Stop thinking like that. You will survive mom. I know you will, so don't worry about it. You know it will only make it worse, so please calm down."

She nodded her head and laid down. As for I went to my bed, and went to sleep also allowing the darkness to take over.

The next day we made it to the hospital. We already checked in. All I had to do was wait for her to come out she could go home, and act as nothing happened.

Of course, I texted Jade sometimes to let her know we were okay. In the waiting room, they had put me in I fell asleep when someone had called my name.

"Mr.Edens, Mr.Edens!"

I open my eyes to be awoken by the doctor. Not just any doctor my mother's doctor, and I can't help but panic.

"What happened? she alright?" I asked the doctor hoping to actually get good answers. I didn't even want to get awoken by a doctor I was expecting my mother instead.

"I'm sorry,-" before the doctor could finish I interrupted her.

"Can I see her? What happened?" I asked thinking something was seriously wrong.

"She is in a coma, she was very stressed. The tumor has gotten so bad that we have to do surgery right away. Or we could leave her to die.

It's your choice, sir."

I looked at the doctor like she lost her mind. Like she was a monster, but it wasn't her fault it was her job. I wasn't gonna let her die either.

"What will happen to her if I let y'all do surgery on her?"

I asked scared of the reply.

"She could survive, or she could never wake up."

I knew my face turned pale, and inside I felt sick inside. I called my father. The only other person I knew who knew about the situation. Also known as the person Jade and I hate.

"Let's do the surgery."

Jade's P.O.V first person

Ben made some delicious food, but in the middle of us three eating together, Ben had gotten a phone call. He left to go answer it, but for some reason, he couldn't answer it in front of me. I decided I would ask him about it later.

15minutes later he came back. "What was that all about?" I asked him. He smiled at me the whole time he got seated.

"Nothing, just school.'' he paused just a little but went back to eating his food.
