Episode 10

The following night, I helped mom set the guest bedroom for Jane to stay for the night. I happily drew nature patterns with the small cans of paints with my super-wolf powers, a cutesy yet meaningful design to the once plain room.

"Hmm...someone looks like they're in love~" I giggle at my mother's confrontation, helping her with the bedsheets and pillows.

"This feeling that I'm experiencing...it's monumental for some odd reason, mom. She...she feels more than a mate to me..." I slowly and carefully confess my feelings to my mother. When I catch her stares at me, I blink and smile back, and she suddenly cooes right onto my face, proceeding to pinch my cheeks like she used to when I was small.

"Aw isn't my baby boy all grown up?! I'm so proud of you honey, I know I said this before like a gazillion times before too, but she's... perfect for you Ronnie. I'm so happy..." she says, takes in my face in her warm palms and kisses my cheeks.

"Thank you, ma." I say softly. I'm really thankful to have such wonderful parents in my life. They balance out everything that's ever bothering me or spoiling me by too much.

"Ahem" I chuckle at the harshness in the clearing of the person's throat.

"This woman, all yours." I raise my hands up in surrender, and my mom is dragged away from me by the jealous of man I call my dad.

"Better not steal my favorite human away from me boy. Watch it." he does that eye to eye thing, gesturing that he's always watching me.

They giggle one lore time and leave the room, though, I preferred to stay until Jane comes in. I want to talk to her. Nothing in specific. Just... casual talk.

"*Gasp* Oh! It's you."

"Of course it's me." I say cockily, raising my eyebrow for the effect. My omega rolls her eyes and places her neatly folded pair of her usual clothes on the table. And by the way, she looks stunning in my pajamas.

Yes. Stunning in PAJAMAS.

"Did you by chance know that those pajamas once used to belong to me?" I ask, somehow getting all too confident with my speaking abilities. I thought I would screw up but it seems to me that I've opened up to my mate already, on the first day of our discovering. Maybe it's that she's very easy to talk to? I'm a shy alpha to be honest.

(SHY ALPHAS EXIST OKAY?)

Jane halts her movements, blinks into nothing and drags a long hum from her throat.

"Hmm~ Did smell like you though." she says, and I catch her hesitating to get a whiff of my scent from the pajama pair she is wearing of mine. How cute!

I chuckle and her cheeks redden in embarrassment.

"Just to let you know, it's COMPLETELY fine to take whiffs off of your mate's scent. It's completely normal, well, at least to me. Look." I stride closer towards her and trap her in my embrace, leaning down to take a deep breath of the scent lingering on her.

The scent of hers is absolutely intoxicating. Sweet, lavender like, soft yet there's a tinge of of that humanly scent of hard work. It'd a perfect blend of all the specialities which actually do describe her personality in a way. Sweet and spicy, shy and bold. A terrific, sizzling combo of the opposites reside in her and I love it.

"Hmm..." now it was my turn to hum at the emotions beginning to rule up in me because of her. Her scent, her in my hands, her existence itself...it's all a contributing factor to the thoughts of my wolf and mine combined. To think of her dancing with me as we become one just makes my alpha instincts to surface up to the brim, on the brink of leaking out officially.

No. Ron, no.

She might get uncomfortable. It's going too fast Ronald, don't you think?

After the small talk with myself, I slowly open my eyes and stand straight up, her still tight in my embrace, now rigging slightly for some freedom and space.

"R-Ron..."

"I'm so sorry..." I take in a breath and loosen the grip I had on her, finally letting her push me away softly. I swear that it's not allowed between am alpha and an omega but she's my mate, so I'll respect her in any form, in any path of our lives.

"Honey...I- I just got carried away and—"

"Ron, it's alright. I...uh, kinda liked it too..." she says, hiding her now tomato red face from me whilst biting her lip and setting the loose strand of hair behind her ear. I make a sound from the back of my throat and nod to no one in particular.

"Okay. So uh...have a good night Jane. Sleep away."

What the HELL did I just say...?

"Sure...? Ron you're getting funnier and funnier, I swear." she laughs at my stupid awkwardness. But I'm really grateful that my awkwardness has served the purpose of her amusement. It's good to hear the Goddess of my life laugh and look happy. And mainly, because of me.

Ah that does things to my untamed heart...

"Goodnight Ron." she says with a chuckle, turning her back towards me as she busies herself with getting comfortable between the sheets.

I watch her getting cozy and cuddly and resist myself from joining her to the bed. She again, must be feeling uncomfortable because of my fast pace actions. I should be considerate.

Just as I nod to no one again and turn around to reach for the doorknob, her small, feeble voice calls out for me.

"Yes, Jane?"

"Do you- do you think you can s-stay with me tonight?"

"You mean share the bed tonight."

"No, not actually, like...uh you...me—"

"-in one bed, sleeping together for the night." I cut her off and say, delighted at her stumbling and tripping of hers on her own words.

"I- *sigh* yes..." she accepts her defeat, sinking lower between the sheets. I quickly think about cute puppies and kittens to calm my raising arousal and grin slyly to myself.

"Then let's call it a night, baby girl."
