Episode 11

Astrid POV

Two days later

It's been two days since all of the parents left and went back home. After I stormed out of the cafeteria I avoided speaking to my father who tried to act as if nothing had transpired.

Running a brush through my hair my mind suddenly thinks about Cohen. He is... different and he is really nice but I don't think we would be a good match. I think my mother secretly wants us to be together she kept on gushing the other day about how handsome he is.

Rolling my eyes I put on my combat boots and make my way out the door. Today was rather gloomy it had been raining since the early morning and my mood has gone down. Walking down the hallways I see its busy as usual as students walk to there next class.

I spot Cohen with the same dark haired girl and they are chatting it up. He seems smitten with her and something within me boils at the thought. Why should I care who he converses with... we are not together.

I pick up the pace trying to go unnoticed but Cohen sees me right away. He wears a big smile and there is something in his eyes...adoration...no it cant be. "Astrid darling where are you headed to" he asked me taking hold of my arm. I stare at the girl next to him who wears a smirk on her face... I just decided I dont like her.

"I'm on my way to class.. but that's none of your business" I snap at him roughly pulling my arm out of his hold. I can see I hurt him but I don't make any move to apologize.

"Well then have a good day beautiful" he whispers before grabbing the girls arm and walking away. My anger only increases and I am annoyed that Cohen has made me feel this way.

I stomp all the way to class feeling like a fire is erupting within me

"How was I supposed to know he had a twin brother they look the same" Arista complains telling me about her new boy toy story. Sitting at a lunch table me and my friends just chill out eating our lunch.

"So Astrid got any boy toys that we should know about" my friend Elle asked wiggling her eyebrows. "Of course not... anyway you guys know that I don't have time for dating anyways".

"Yeah whatever keeps you awake at night" Elle says flipping her platinum blonde hair. Rolling my eyes I stuff my mouth with some animal blood feeling it run through my veins.

I secretly watch Cohen at his table with a bunch of other rich spoiled students. Again I see the black haired girl by his side and I want nothing more than to curse Cohen out.

"Hello earth to Astrid"!! I turn my head towards a annoyed Arista. "Were you even listening to me" she whines and I roll my eyes "of course I'm listening to you... now what did you say" I tease.

We continue on chatting until the bell rings, they also have flashing lights for us deaf people. Believe it or not I am not the only deaf person in this school... why my dad doesn't want people to know I'll never understand.

Walking towards my next class I wave goodbye to Arista and Elle. I'm dreading going to class... all I want to do is sleep I let out a huge yawn. I spot my brother Samael peeking through one of the classroom doors.

Deciding to scare him I tip toe up behind him and gently blow on his neck. "What the- Astrid you know I hate when you do that" he screeches and I laugh. "Why are you being a creep and staring into classrooms" I ask giggling.

"I was not- ok maybe I was being a little creepy but I'm not telling you cause I know how you are" he exclaims. Rolling my eyes I peek into the classroom and see a class in session.
