Detective Dickson: The last Alpha-human

Detective Dickson: The last Alpha-human

Episode 1

"Crunch crunch" comes the sound of man who was eating a meal, he appeared to be in a rush. He stood beside a table in which had a lot of scattered papers and books, the whole apartment was a mess.

He finally spoke "God Damnit, i am gonna be late." After a long sigh, the man left his breakfast which was a meal of bread and scrambled eggs, packed a bunch of cards which seemingly looked like business cards, the man stands up to his full height, he is about 6 feet tall, brown caramel eyes, a strong chin and a fit body, he was dressed as a typical 1970's private detective.

he was about to rush out of the house, he heard sounds made by a woman on high heels, "damnit" he thought to himself, that's the landlady and I am two weeks behind on rent, the landlady knocked the door really hard and said 'Dickson, you son of a dick" she then gives a small chuckle, apparently, what she said really cracked her up.

Dick moves towards the back window located at the far end of the room, he silently climbed out as he heard the landlady unlocking the door, he gets on the ledge of the building, then jumps down.

"My day is barely beginning and it already sucks" Dick mutters to himself as he starts running away from the spot.

Minutes later, Dick arrives at a building later on, it was a very small one, it only had a window located at one of the sides of the building, based on Dick's external evaluation of the building, it couldn't have more than four rooms, the building appeared burnt especially at the central part of the building, the other parts weren't left out as they were a few burns showing around but the central part had it the worst, also apparently, it was swimming with cops.

Dick had friends amongst the police force, he was a cop years ago but he had gotten tired of all the rules, so he quit, he looked around, when he found a familiar face.

"Tommy boy, that's where you are."

A man of similar height looks over at Dick's direction, a smile curves off his lips and he says

"whatcha doin' there"

"mate, ooh, you know, the usual, doing a few jobs here and there, how about letting an old pal through" Dick says without missing a beat.

"Did Mrs Hudson hire you to do this" Tommy asks

"Yeah" Dick says, "obviously she's scared that the murderer who killed her younger sister is after her too, I tried to dissuade her but I guess man got his limits."

Tommy smiles and says "I am gonna let you in but trust me, you are not gonna believe what you'll find."

Tommy then walks towards the burnt building "I had all my boys leave, I am sure you like that".

He lifts the police barrier which was wrapped around the place, Dick follows him, as Dick was walking along with him, he saw footprints big enough for a big wolf etched on the concrete floor, that wasn't the most amazing thing though, it appeared the wolf stood on his hind limbs as there were no fore limb tracks there.

"Could a wolf have gotten in" Dick thinks as he moves further but that wasn't the biggest surprise yet, he looked at the window, there were signs of something big clearly breaking out as he could see the broken glass and there were no big broken glass shards inside the building.

"You think the Hudsons rear wolfs" Dick says with a lighter expression on his face.

Tommy lets out a chuckle and says "you always got time to kid around, don't ya?"

it's what gets me wild, besides based on what i see, it ain't bad for a theory"

The pair then moves further, there were three bodies on the ground, one was lying in the main room with furniture scattered all over, most of his body was gone except his knee downwards to his feet, Dick sniffs in for a closer look, smells the feet and says

"Yikes, I am sure whatsoever did this to him must have lost his appetite, Jesus, that stinks" Dick finishes his statement by covering his nose.

"Heeey joker" calls Tommy, "when you are done with our Frankenstein over there, you might wanna see this."

Dick leaves the body, moves over to Tommy's location, it was a little girl, she had her head bit off, Dick inspects bite marks most probably a wolf around her necks.

"This is interesting." Dick says as the last body met the same fate, Dick looks over at the third body closely, the body was holding an object in his left hand, Dick bends and sniffs it, "aziroazide azide", Dick thinks.

All the bodies were burnt almost beyond recognition especially the first which only had knees remaining. The last body had the worst fate, it was impossible to tell the gender by mere looking except the first which was just half the legs but Dick speculates these are probably the hudson's kids.

"poor family" Dick thinks to himself.

"So what do ya gat for me" says Tommy smiling, he was expecting Dick to go all sherlock holmes.

Dick then adopts a teacher's look and starts "it wasn't only one of this things that were here, my guess is at least three"

"Why do you say that" Tommy asks looking puzzled.

Dick then points towards the first victim "see the footprints here, it's smaller than the one we saw at the entrance.

"Looks the same to me" Tommy says.

"It ain't, this is about three centimeters wider and two centimeters longer" Dick says still scanning the bodies, "also look at the knee remains, it's almost as if he was chopped off with a long blade"

"That explains the two, how about our third friend" Tommy asks who looked like he was struggling to keep a straight face.

Then Dick says third body "He's holding a container containing aziroazide azide: the source of the explosion, The hudson kids were spotted outside and alive at 10:30pm yesterday by the neighbours and by 10:50, we heard an alarm meaning that whosoever did this were people the kids clearly trusted as they made their way into the living room invited since no sign of forced entry, also, they are the ones who sounded the alarm."

"The kids apparently struggled as we can see burnt crisps of their clothing around the house"Dick says.

Then he points to shoes scattered all over the place.

He goes to the kitchen and continues "Even here was thrashed before the fire as various cutleries are all over the place."

Dick then continued "two of this things couldn't have killed them all in 20 mins and still clamp that substance on the kids hands"

"Are you saying it was forcefully put on him" Tommy asks,

"Yh," Dick says without hesitation "but it appears the third guy is human at least he was throughout his stay here,"

"Why do you say that" asks Tommy who looked intrigued.

Dick then points at the body "other than the burnt spots, no signs of claws, just our regular buddy overpowering another during a fight, also I have a feeling these things can take a smaller form"

Dick points to the door "That had to have a weight of at most 89kg and height of 194 centimetres to go in through these doors without causing a crack in the door but whatsoever can swallow a head whole can't possibly be that small, so our friends are shape-shifters, also that break out wasn't done by any of them."

Dick continues "This is clearly obvious as the shape of the beasts ain't shown and this burnt couch has some tiny glass shards to it, I nearly missed that myself, but I know the smell of tempered glass anywhere and it's strong around that couch, have the ballistics check that out" Dick finishes, pointing to one of the couches.

"That's reasonable" says Tommy stroking his beardless chin.

Then Dick paces," I say one of them walked out of the house carried the couch and brought it back in."

"But why do that" asks Tommy.

"They probably wanna misled the police or something into thinking it was just a mindless beast who got loose or something and has no intelligence but I guess they were real amateurs" Dick ends with a laugh.

Tommy then smiles and said "How much do you get for all this?"

"Better than when I was a cop, I'd be taking my leave now."

"Wait, what do you suppose made these tracks" called Tommy.

Dick then stops at the entrance, looks up and says "I don't know what they are exactly but probably intelligent wolves who can stand on their hind limbs and are capable of changing into smaller forms."

"You suggesting were wolves" asks Tommy with a look of unbelief on his face.

Dick turned back towards Tommy and says "That sounds like a fantastical creature"

"It is, read it up in one of my daughters book" Tommy answers.

Dick smiles, in between his smiles, he says "And they call me the crazy one." He then disappears from the room.
