Episode 19

Zinat's P.O.V

The engagement ceremony would be intimate with just our parents and siblings attending. We were still chatting when I heard Aayat say "What is Zubbu saying that made you smile like this?" I started hitting her with my pillow as a reply. How could she tease me when she was the one on a call with her Romeo at 4 a.m. Soon we were stopped by Zubair. When he scolded us, I took all my time to check him out. His messy hair and trimmed beard. He was wearing a tight shirt which displayed his muscle. After Aayat left for the washroom, Aditya left to sleep again leaving only him in the room. We were both lost in each other. He walked towards me and kissed my forehead. "I can't wait to marry you; you make it hard for me to stay away from you" he whispered. I closed my eyes and hugged him.

"let's get married as soon as I am 18... I don't like being away from you" I replied boldly, which made him laugh. "you know, normally girls shy when their fiancee is this close to them but you... you are something else," he said. This made me smile and I kissed his cheeks before leaving him shocked. After that, all three of us went to pray. I wanted to eat pancakes, so I went to the kitchen after prayer to make some, not even a few seconds later, I felt his arms wrapped around my waist. "you know you are not allowed to cook right?" he asked nuzzling my neck. "but.... I want to eat pancakes" I complained like a kid. He was the only person with whom I would behave like this. I turned around and placed my head on his chest. "I'll do it, how can I deny my queen?" he replied with a smile. I looked up and kissed his cheeks which made him smile. I wrapped my arms around his waist and held him close, while he was making the batter. Our moment was short-lived as Aditya barged in the kitchen with his sleepy face.

"Come on guys, not here as well, you know you parents are coming back today evening right?" he teased. "yes, and that's why we planned to cherish the next few hours we have together, but you always interrupt us!" replied Zinat which made Zubair blush. "Bro, you got a one in a million over there, never let her go" he laughed before leaving the kitchen. Once he was done with the batter, I moved away from him as he refused to let me come close to fire. I kissed his cheeks and joined Aditya on the dining table. Aayat joined us and was looking extremely happy. When I finished my breakfast, I moved to Aayat's room to clean it, however, Zubair was hot on my tail. He closed the door as soon as he entered. I ignored him and focused on folding the duvet. He walked up to me and pulled me by my waist. We were only a few inches apart; I could feel his hot breath on my skin.

"Did you like the pancake my queen?" he whispered before kissing my forehead. I nodded and kissed his cheeks. We did not realise when we became lost in each other's touch, we were just enjoying the feeling of being together when Aayat walked in on us and was blabbering about her date without looking at who she was talking with. When she realised she stopped on her trail, however, her words brought Zubair back to reality and we both pushed away from each other. When Aayat revealed about her date, I knew instantly that Zubair would not agree. He was after all her protective brother.

After he left the room, I instructed Aayat to do some skincare and relax, while I go and deal with my angry King. When I entered his room, he was engrossed in his laptop. I tried to grab his attention but he was constantly ignoring me. After trying for 5 minutes, I closed his laptop and placed in on the side table. I sat on his lap, and stroke his face gently. "don't be angry" I whispered and hugged him.

When I felt that he calmed down, I pulled away and said, "let her go, she likes him." He stayed silent for a while and I began to play with his hair. "how can I let her go when I never met this guy? What if he hurts her?" he complained and pouted. " Let her get used to him first, when she feels like to introduce him to the family, she will do it. And if he hurts her, then I will personally punch him on his face," I assured him.

"But still, I cannot let her go alone, to meet someone I never met. What if it is a trap?" he asked before resting his head onto Zinat's shoulder. "Who said she is going alone? I will send Aditya to stalk them! After all, this is our Princess," I answered and my reply made him relax. I smiled and whispered in his ears "and this means we have 5 hours to ourselves with no one to interrupt." I kissed his cheeks and left before he could hold me back. It took me one whole hour to convince him.

Luckily, Aayat was still in the shower as the whole skincare procedure made her lose thirty minutes. After skimming through her whole wardrobe, I chose a black-knee length dress for her and a thick black legging. When she came out, she looked at my selection and gasped. "you know Zubbu would kill me if I wear that right?" she reminded me. "not if you wear this thick legging and you high heeled boots" I replied with a smirk. I knew that whatever she would do today would be against her brother's approval but at the same time, why would she not wear the gift that I gifted her.

Zubair would never oppose that and he knew better than to go against my choices. Aayat wore a simple shit and pyjama pants and left to the living room. At around 1 pm, she started getting ready. I helped her with her makeup and hair. She was looking beautiful with her hair open and dark makeup. I did smokey eyes and applied deep red lipsticks which relived all her features. Before leaving. Zubbu gave her 500 bucks and asked her to be careful.
