Episode 15

Aayat was on bed rest and was still being stubborn to eat. No matter how hard, Irshad and Dafne tried Aayat would not comply. She refused to eat until she met Zinat. Irshad, however, managed to trick her into eating some soup. Aayat kept on complaining until she blacked out again due to the effect of the medicine. Irshad received a call from Ayesha and left to meet her. Ayesha was the girl whom he loved. On the other hand, Zinat was on her way back along with the person whom she went to search. By the time Aayat woke up, both of them were standing in front of her. "Aadi..how come you are here?" she asked with her fragile voice. " I had a promise to live up to" he replied stroking her hair. " If Zubbu was here he would have been extremely angry with you" he added. " I miss him, he was the best brother" she replied with a sad smile. All three people in smiled and relished the memories they had with Aayat's brother.

* 14 years- 2 months back*

When Aayat was born, she was the most loved one in the family and that including by her elder brother Zubair. Zubair spent most of her time with Aayat and played with her. Both of them were so close that whenever Zubair was to leave, Aayat would cry. Aayat was quite fragile and usually sick in her childhood, thus she spent a lot of time in the hospital. Zubair was always protective of Aayat. When Zubair was 15 and Aayat was 12, he invited Aditya at home. Aditya grew fond of Aayat's character, for she managed to be both girly and boyish at the same time. One day, while they were playing Aayat killed Aditya, and kept on beating him until his character's head was out. " Stop it now you psycho, you already won!" he teased.

But Aayat retaliated calling him psycho as well. They started arguing after a while, Zubair had enough and yelled," Shut up, both of you are psychos now let's eat!" He then grabbed a piece of Pizza and shoved it in his mouth. This made both Aditya and Aayat burst out laughing. The three of them spent most of their time together. As Aayat went to college, she met Zinat and soon, Zinat joined the crew as well. They would have the usual sleepovers and spend nights playing games. As Zinat grew older, Zubair started having a crush on her, and the feeling was reciprocal. They soon began dating, which drove the attention of Rania on Zinat. Rabia had always tried to get the attention of Zubair, but he never cared as all his focus was always on Aayat. Then, Zinat came and everyone could see the affection they had for each other.

Thus, Rania started bullying Aayat and Zinat. As Aayat was weaker, it was easier for Rania to pick on her. A few weeks before Rania planned Zinat's accident, Zinat got engaged to Zubair, after which Zubair left for further studies abroad. Zubair and Aditya began their further studies together and set up a small business together. Each month, the two of them would visit the girls. Their business evolved and they end up being successful. However, on Aayat's 20th birthday, they received the news that Zubair met with a serious accident, and after a few days, he died. From then, Zinat never looked up at any other guy and Aditya always watches out for both of them. They never mentioned about Aditya and Zubair to their friends as both of them loved to have a low profile thus none of Zinat's and Aayat's friends knew the existence of those two precious people in their lives.

After a while, not signed Aditya to make Aayat eat and left the room. She wanted to be alone for a while. She looked at her engagement picture with a sad smile. Tears were forming in her eyes and she did not bother to wipe them off, she missed him too much. She wished she could relive all her memories with him but nothing could bring him back to her. After a while, Aditya joined her. "I remember whenever two would sneak into the backyard at night when everyone was sleeping. He loved you." Zinat stayed silent and kept listening to Aditya.

" You know, before he died, he asked me to take care of both Aayat and you. It is difficult for me to be there for Aayat as she was always like my sister, but you were my bhabhi, and it was hard for me to face you, not after I failed him" he continued. Zinat's eyes shot up and place a hand on his shoulder. "You are not at fault Zubbu, it was meant to happen. His is still with me you know, in every memory, every dream and every breath of mine" assured Zinat. Zinat rests her head on Aditya's shoulder and lets her tears flow. She allowed herself to be lost in the pool of memories she had with the love of her life.
