Episode 11

* Present *

After spending the whole day cocooned in her room, she decided to come out to meet her friends but as soon as she reached the living room, her vision started to blur and soon she blacked out. Zinat was looking at a broken Aayat, she was once again laying lifelessly on the floor. Despite that she promised not to hurt herself, the damage was done.

She immediately called Irshad and Dafne to take Aayat to the hospital. Soon they discovered that she blacked out due to weakness and lack of nutrients in her system. The doctor called one of them to her cabin to discuss Aayat's condition. After talking with the doctor, Zinat felt guilty, how could she not realise that her best was suffering from an eating disorder. And now, her years of carelessness has finally caught up with her. She was suffering from Anorexia her body could not take the weight of her bones anymore. She was so skinny that her bones could be seen. Zinat still remembers the first-day Aayat attempted to kill herself, that was the beginning of her downfall and she could not help but hate Abyad for that.

*3years back*

Zinat's p.o.v

There were almost three days left for my birthday which was frustrating since I am used to celebrating it with Aayat. I know that she succeeded in her plans, but I hoped that she would show up. I noticed that she was starting to recover but she still seemed weak and fragile. I sighed and went to Abyad again hoping to knock some sense into him. However, before I could create any plans to contact him, I received a text from him.

Assalamualaikum, I got your number from one of Aayat's friends. I've been trying to be around her to make her feel better but seriously she is going to hurt more later on, so if anyone of us need to be with her, I prefer that it's you. She should move on from me.

I could not believe what I just read, he knew that Aayat loved him and that she was forced under circumstances to walk away from him. Knowing Aayat, I knew she would be broken, she liked him.

Don't hurt her more, she would not be able to bear it.

I replied the shoved my phone into my bag. I made my way to the library to grab a book, but I bumped into a wall. I looked up to see the face I hated the most at the moment, Abyad. I pushed him away and walked into the library.

Aayat's p.o.v

I saw Zinat barging into the library, I wanted to talk to her and make things right, but I was afraid she would reject me. To my surprise, she walked straight up to me. "hey, can I sit here?" she asked. I nodded going back to my book as I did not know what else to say. It was the first time in years that I felt this much awkwardness between us. After a while, she broke the silence again and started yelling and hitting me. "Are you crazy, what the hell were you thinking, pushing away everyone?" I remained silent as I did not have any answer for her. "Sorry," I said after

she stopped hitting me. I hugged her and we left the library.

Zinat's p.o.v

She was happy when she stopped on her tracts reading the new text from Adarsh. She excused herself and rushed out. I followed her to see Rania hugging and kissing Abyad's cheeks. Abyad must have lost his sense. If he planned to be in my bad book and hurt Aayat he succeeded completely. Aayat walked up to Abyad and slapped Rania. As much as I wanted to step in, I held back because I knew that she could handle Rania. Rania had a smirk plastered on her face while Abyad looked emotionless. Rania started bickering with Aayat, after a while the argument became heated and I stepped in.

"This is it, Rania, do you want to end up in jail?" Rania left without saying a word. Aayat ran in the opposite direction, while Abyad looked shocked. "what in hell were you thinking?" I asked. "I did not know she was that Rania; I need some air" he replied and followed Aayat. After a while, I received a text from him saying that Aayat was unconscious and that she had cut her wrist. I guess seeing Abyad with Rania was the limit for her.
