He pushed me directly into the wall and slapped both of my cheeks. Choking me after that, leaving me gasping for air.

"Did you just call me asshole? Huh? You seem to feel pretty good yourself huh?"

I am just staring at him still shocked at the slap that send a ringing sound in my ears and the stinging sensation in both of my cheeks.

He sure hits hard.

"I-i can't"

I tried to say while my nails is scratching his arms that is tightly locked in my neck.

By the shock in his face I could tell that he was starting to realize the cons of his action. He slowly remove his hands from my neck. Clenching his palms tightly he began to talk.

"I-im sorry I didn't mean, I got mad."

Still holding my stinging cheeks and my now probably sore neck. I'm debating on what to answer to him.

To say that 'its not fine' and probably get more hurt. Or just shut the f*ck up and try to be nice.

I chose the latter.

"I- its okay.. I un-understand"

I said my voice slightly shaking and hoarse. I can feel the tightness and the burning sensation in my throat. He sure choked me hard.

"I go-gotta sort some things out" I croaked, literally running away from him. He did not move to follow me. I sighed in relief when I realized that I'm safe for the time being.

"Hey Milly? Milly are you okay?"

I mentally asked my wolf.

She may not feel the physical pain for now, because I have full control but I'm sure she feel it emotionally.

When she didn't respond. I began get worried I meant, everyone left me, my parents , my siblings and even my mate is acting weird. Now my wolf?

"I'm here, its just that I don't feel it"

"What? You don't feel what?"

"Sparks, I don't feel the sparks"

She's right. When Jasen slapped me. Heck even when he choked me. I should've feel some spark or something tingling because of the physical contact. But its gone. All I felt is pain and haziness that time. I didn't even feel the pull and the bond.

But with Eli the blue eyed Lycan. The sparks are so strong. We barely touched but the tingling sensation is strong.

"No, maybe its just because I'm not focusing on Jasen because of the pain. Don't think like that its too complicated Milly "

She didn't respond after that. Now how am I going to answer Jasen's question? How am I going to decline the date? He might hurt me again. And not just a slap and choke. Maybe even more.

No no no.. Maybe I'm just over thinking and his emotion just get the best of him. Yeah.. That's right.

I was walking down the hallway when I smelled him.

"Lina? Hello I'm Eli, Elize the lycan remember me? The hottest, sexies--"

"Cut it out Eli you're scaring her"

Now I'm stuck in the hallway of the school with the Lycans in front of me.

"I- yeah thank you for taking care of me that time Eli the hottest and sexiest lycan and his friends but I really gotta go."

I said nearly rushing to get out of their way.

"Wai-"

Eli tried to hold my hand but we are both startled by huge shock that made both of us snatch our hands away.

It couldn't possibly be!

Staring at him in shock. I noticed a very angry Jasen coming towards us.

This is not good!

I began to walk fast to the edge of the hallway where my next class is. I should be safe there.

My homeroom door is just a few steps away from me but that hope crashed when I feel a huge amount of force knocking me in the janitors closet, banging my head and blocking my intake of air in the process.

"What's that huh? Are you flirting with that lycan huh? Huh Lina!?"

He said grabbing my jaw and squeezing it roughly which results to me closing my eyes tightly.

"N-nghh!"

I tried to answer but his hold on my face is so hard that my words came out muffled. My gums and jaw are hurting so bad.

"What did you say huh? You're flirting with that filthy Lycan huh!? One mate isn't enough for you?! You just need to find someone else you filthy whore!"

He asked once again this time giving me another hard slap. That once again made my head ring.

I'm sure my face would be black and blue later.

"N-no!"

I finally stated with tears falling in my eyes. When he saw the tears his hold on me loosened.

"So-sorry, I'm just- just go to your class"

I didn't need to be told twice. As soon as he said that I rushed in my homeroom only finding that my classmates and the teacher are there leaving me standing on the door awkwardly.

"I-uh sorry to be late"

"Why are you late Ms. Millers? You're fifteen minutes late"

The teacher said stopping her class just to stare at me to embarrass me. And the fact that my hair and face is a mess isn't helping at all. Not to mention the tear lines that are slowly dropping in my cheeks.

I can't think of anything to say to her! Its not like I can say to her that

'an alpha not to mention my mate just choke and slapped me that's why I'm late.'

That sounds horrible.

But then again, I was still a low class by the pack because nobody knows that I'm Jasen mate so I couldn't say anything.

"I- I tripped, right I tripped on the stairs"

He looked at me as if not believing what I just said but brushed it aside anyways.

"Hurry up and get settled."

And with that, I sat down and gulped the bottle of water that I had in my bag.
