Arkyn's POV

I've been playing with the drink that Laeuless made for me, not bothering to drink it as it looked like something out of a zombie movie.
Leauless was currently sweeping the floor. And when he looked up, he groaned.
"How long are you gonna keep sulking? Those ain't gonna drink themselves. And the fact that I made it makes it more special." Leauless said, grinning and slightly tilting his head which earned a small chuckle accompanied by a smile from me.
He shot me a look of dread as he looked up.
As I was about to take a sip from my drink, Rivaleon suddenly took a seat beside me. No words were spoken.
Leauless took this as his cue to leave as he served another patron.
I slipped a look at the Incubi. His eyes were a mess, all puffy and swollen from crying. His posture was crooked, he wasn't putting too much weight on the right side of his set of ribs.
For a moment, I felt a little guilty. I never expected it to come to this. No, I never wanted it to come to this.
I really did like Rivaleon and his family, but when I received that I- I just lost it.
"I, think we need to talk," I said, slowly looking at him while gulping. I knew that I was in the wrong. But, I just needed someone to blame, and I'm too much of a narcissist to blame myself.
Rivaleon nodded, his lips began to tremble and his fingers were nervously fiddling with each other.
"I'm sorry, this time. Will you give me a chan-"
"I think we should cut off the bond," Rivaleon replied. Looking at me, his eyes showing a scary amount of determination.
I only remained quiet and ushered him to continue.
He only examined me. Frowning when he didn't see any sign of sadness.
"Aren't you sad?"
"Why should I be? We never connected the bond fully." I answered, taking a sip from my drink.
His frowned only deepened.
Although I was a little upset. Sure we were incompatible but that doesn't mean we're both replaceable. That damned old woman twisted my mind.
I sigh. "Fine, I'm sad," I answer truthfully which made his face light up. What a fucking sadist.
"But. I, don't care if you decide to cut off the bond. That'll be better actually." I say grumpily which brought back his frown. Then the nutcrack laughed.
"Damn, Who hurt you?"
My eyes only narrow at his words.
He hestitantly reached out for my hand. When our hands entwined together and I didn't pull away, he let out a relieved sigh.
"Wanna talk about it? I won't judge." He offered, giving me a wolfish grin.
I was about to say no. But, that woman's words flashed in my mind. 'mistakes are forgivable, not learning from them isn't'.
Without thinking much, I blurted it all out. I was never the one to keep secrets to myself. "I was shipped over to Greece after I was bought by Alice's family. Alice was nice, the Beaufourlts were not."
Rivaleon's eyes widen.
"The Beaufourlts were crazy fanatics of some cult. But, Alice Beaufourlt was exceptionally nice."
"Why and how did they buy you?" Rivaleon asked.
"Human trafficking," I answer, snorting. "Our village was raided by some terrorists. Children and Women were captured and then sold."
Rivaleon only gave me a crazy look after I snorted at my own words.
"Luckily, they believed that blondes were evil reincarnations of demons, and so I was just always in the room. Sitting alone in a corner as I watched other children get raped and sold to other people."
Rivaleon gave my hand a light squeeze.
"The whole time. I didn't feel scared, nor did I feel sympathy for other children. I just knew I needed to survive."
"Then, I was bought by the Beaufourlts. But, when they learned that I was fooling around with their son–Alice, they quickly sent us both away."
Rivaleon gulped.
"Alice and I lived together for quite some time. Eventually, I got enough money and returned to Germany. Alice was my first love, but he convinced me to go pursue what I really wanted."
I clenched my hands in tight fists.
"But when I arrived in Germany, I couldn't contact him. Until I found a letter; a letter from Alice."
"Alice Beaufourlt found his soulmate, Girviehl Millard. The U.S.A's Overseer. And, they've been screwing around behind my back for 7 years."
"Then, back at the yacht. I saw an email from Alice. They were getting married."
That damned witch, if he thinks he can get away with pissing me off.
I looked at Rivaleon and he shot me a look of warning.
"Arkyn, Don't do anything stupid." He said warily, his eyes flashing a deep purple.
I cup his cheeks as he held both of my hands.
kill him, my dear son. feed thy growing hunger. thee shalt reclaim thy throne if thee prove thyself to me.
That was all I needed to hear. All these years, I managed to survive because of listening to that voice. That unfamiliar comfort the deep voice brings to me. That sinister yet fatherly voice I've always longed for.
Without hesitation, I pull both of my hands back and stand abruptly.
Rivaleon also stood up but to my surprise, Leauless was holding him back.
I shot Leauless a look of surprise and he only nodded at me, giving me a vampiric grin. For some reason, I decided to trust him with Rivaleon.
I whipped my head back and immediately recognized that vibrant red hair.
Rivaleon's screams of plea were muffled as I felt my back growing in pain. My blood system, pumping adrenaline for no reason, maybe ut was bloodlust.
I walked towards that vibrant red hair, with a beautiful face chatting happily with someone else.
I pulled the gun that Genevieveé gave me earlier and switched the safety off.
It was that when I was in front of them that the older guy noticed me, pointing a gun at his beloved Alice.
He quickly stood up and shielded Alice behind him.
I grinned like a maniac and squeezed the trigger. Putting a bullet between his happy eyes.
Looking directly at him, his eye forced out a single tear before he slumped down, blood rushing out his forehead. He was dead. His once full and vibrant brown eyes were now as empty as my remorse.
Alice let out a blood-curdling scream. By the sight of his soulmate, killed by his former lover.
I didn't let Alice mourn, and this time I pointed the gun at him.
He kneeled beside his fallen lover, cradled its dead body, and cried.
His fists gripping something between them.
"Long time no see, Darling," I say, lowly.
This only made Alice cry even more. The sight of him crying was intoxicating, his suffering was delicious. Perhaps, I was the sadist all along.
I wasted no time squeezing the trigger and shooting Alice in cold blood.
He slumped down right beside his soulmate. That could've been us, slumping down on a comfy bed after a long and eventful day.
I was about to turn around but something out of his hands fell out.
I walked closer and decided to take a closer look.
It was a pregnancy test, Alice was pregnant. That's why they were both so happy.
This made my system roar wildly. The unborn child would die anyway.
Grinning, I shot Alice's stomach too.
They deserved this, they were dying for this.
well done, just like a true Layendheuart.
