Episode 7

"Thank you very much!" Arkyn said, jumping happily as his eyes showed pure excitement and gratitude.

Ishtar finished knitting him his sweater. It was pure black aside from Rivaleon's big cute chibi face in the middle. Arkyn didn't know how Ishtar managed to do that but she did.

The most exciting part perhaps was because Ishtar made one for Rivaleon too! Even though Rivaleon was acting like the cold was not bothering him, and it had Arkyn's chibi face.

Yurriehl was also kind enough to knit Arkyn some matching mittens and a beret.

When everyone finally wore theirs, they reasoned that it was a family tradition.

"Say Damnation!"

"Damnation!" They all said in unison as the camera flashed and took their photo. Immediately it started printing their photo in the film as Ishtar grinned wildly.

They took more photos before the family sat down together and ate breakfast in a comfortable quietness.

"So." Ishtar started. "We're going to the annual gathering tomorrow," Ishtar said.

Rivaleon groaned. "Those still exist?"

"Unfortunately." Both Ishtar and Yurriehl answered in unison.

"What's that?" Arkyn asked, Rivaleon turned to him.

"It's a gathering where every supernatural creature in charge of large continents meets to discuss things," Rivaleon answered blandly.

"Creatures like?" Arkyn continued.

This time, Yurriehl was the one to answer. "Demons, Elves, Dwarves. You name it." Yurriehl said, taking a huge bite of his sausage. "For instance, we; the family of demonic incubi/succubus govern Europe. Elves govern Asia, while moon creatures govern the rest."

"Moon creatures?"

"Werewolves, Vampires, and Undeads. They all belong to the category of Moon Creatures. While Elves and Dryads belong to the Natural Creatures." Yurriehl took a breath before he continued. "Dwarves, Lizardmen, and Goblins belong to the Ancient Creatures." This made Ishtar snort as the three men turned to look at her.

"Oh come on! It's funny." Ishtar exclaimed. "We're older than those things yet they have the audacity to call themselves ancient," Ishtar said.

"Oh yeah, Why do they call themselves ancient creatures?" Arkyn asked.

This time, Ishtar howled in laughter. "Why else? To make themselves feel relevant and important when they're all useless. I mean, Human technology has long surpassed dwarven technology. Lizardmen and Goblins pretend like they're older than everyone else just because they have been around since medieval times." Ishtar explained.

"Well, How old are you guys?"

This time, Both Ishtar and Yurriehl grinned evilly. "For as long as we can remember," They both said in unison.

"Hey, What are you thinking about?" Rivaleon asked, as he hugged Arkyn and kissed his cheek. They were now in stage 5 of connecting their bond.

"Why do we need to join that stupid gathering? We could've just cuddled all day here like last night." Arkyn whined. Grumbling, Arkyn slipped in his deep purple waistcoat, it was the Vylerrith's color.

"Trust me, I don't want to see them too."

Minutes later, the whole family went downstairs.

The three men all wore deep purple waistcoats, only Yurriehl's had a few gold chains attached to them.

Ishtar was wearing a silky deep purple dress with a slit, matching the color of her perfectly styled hair.

Before they could get out, Yurriehl gave Rivaleon a revolver with a silencer attached to it. Arkyn's eyes widened, what kind of gathering was this?

Yurriehl turned to Arkyn and gave him the same revolver.

"Hide it in your waistcoats, make sure to have the safety on," Yurriehl ordered.

"It will get messy boys, if things go south then find Olga immediately." This time, Ishtar was the one to speak.

Rivaleon only nodded, which made Arkyn more confused. But instead of feeling scared and concerned Arkyn only felt safe with Rivaleon by his side.

Entangling his arms with Rivaleon, the four of them hopped inside the limousine.

During the drive, Arkyn has only then noticed that several heavily armored vehicles were following them. Some bore the mark of secret services while some had mercenary stickers. Although none of them looked like they were about to ambush the Vylerriths. Instead, they were there to protect them.

Just what the hell is this gathering!? Arkyn thought.

Well, If things really do hit the fan. Then, at least Arkyn will put his 7 years of playing Call of Duty and tons of FPS games to use.

Yawning, Arkyn cuddled Rivaleon and the incubus gladly engulfed the human in a big tight hug.
