A compromise

With the short 5 years expiration date, Jessica decided that she needed to make a plan to insure her daughter will be able to take care of herself before she passes on. Jessica worked as many jobs as possible and saved as much as she can. Jessica wasn't too worry about who will help take care of Jane because grandma was still there to help her. Although her grandmother was 62, Jane wasn't so little that she couldn't help herself.

5 years later Jessica passed away. Jane was still in middle school and didnt know what she could do to help her grandmother. Her grandmother gave Jane some letters that her mother had wrote to her. In one letter her mother explained that the next page is about her father, if Jane ever wanted to know who her father is, then she would have the answer on the next page. The next letter was about the finance that her mother has been saving up so that Jane wouldn't have to worry about paying for school and life expenses. While reading through the letter, Jane knew that her mother did everything she could to make Jane happy and decided work on her studies.

5 years have past and Jane's account was slowly depleting. Jane decided to get a part time job at fast food restaurant while attending college. Later that year, her grandmother passed away and used up the rest of the money for funeral expenses. She didn't have much money to pay for college so she took out a loan and continued to live. While having some loneliness she thought about her father and what he looked like. Jane went to get the letters that her mother had wrote to her and found out who her father was. She thought to herself, "that's ridiculous, my father is a CEO at Hulner industry but decided to abandon my mother and I, it was dumb to even think about him. Well, now I know, I guess."

One night, David went to find Jane. David said, "how have you been?" Jane gave him a weird look and said, "why?" Jane didnt understand the situation. David replied, "I'm your father, I have the right to know how you are doing, right?" Jane said, "I didnt know you knew I existed. When I said why, I didnt want to know why you want to know how I am doing, I asked why because I want to know why you are here. What do you want from me? I'm 18 years old and I dont have anything to give you. I am an adult and I dont need u anymore. So why could you possibly come here to meet me?" David sat up and sighed, " fine, I'll get to to the point then. I'm here because I need you to pretend to be your sister. She's getting married next week to a business partner of mine and she has run off somewhere. She left me a letter that she won't be back and has run off with her boyfriend to Italy. I only need you to substitute while I find her. If you chose to help me, then I'll pay for ur college in full." Jane said, "how am I suppose to substitute? We probably don't look anything alike." David took out a photo and showed Jane that her and her sister Jaime actually looked somewhat identical, the only difference is the color of the hair. Jane is brunette and Jaime is blond. David explained, "Jaime and her fiance met once so he won't know you switched with Jaime." David told her that all she haves to do is be a substitute until he can find Jaime and if Jane agreed then he will pay for her college tuition. He said that it would take, at most 1 month and then they can switch back before the fiance knew of anything. Jane agreed since it'll be just be a month and her tuition will be paid for.
