A Secret Heart
Brief Introduction,
My name is Nikkina my nickname is Nick I'm 19 years old and on my second year of collage
On a normal day, I was on my way home when I received a massage from my best friend Faith, the news I received brought so much joy to me..My friend Daniel has come back from abroad he left 2 year's ago.
He said he will be back after three years, but it only has been 2 year's, I guess he decided to come home 1 year early
As I came home Faith told me that she arranged the three if us to meet with Daniel and hope I can come..
Of course I immediately replied and assured her I will be there without a doubt
After 2 days..
The day I will meet with him again had come, I was so exited, my morning was going perfectly..as I choose to what clothes to wear
At the park..
I saw Faith wave to me as she called my name, I immediately asked "where's Daniel?" Before she responded I heard Daniels voice say
"Here I am, Sorry to keep you two waiting"
His voice was enough to make me feel happy.
The three of us spent the whole day together roaming around and catching up..until faith had to go home to finish school work, It was only me and Daniel together
after we talked and walked through the park, he suggested I go home now, as it was late and can get dangerous at night.
He said that he will walk me home, and I happily agreed
As we walked home, We talked and laughed, I could just hope time will stop there.
I then asked him...
" So where do you stay while looking for a place to rent? "
He replied.
" At faith's house "
"Of course she your sister"
I replied.
He then started talking about a girl, which got me nervous
He said..
"there's this girl by the way, just her presence is enough to make all my sadness and pain go away"
I was shocked and nervous I was afraid to know who this girl was but I still asked in a nervous tone
"Who's this girl"
The next two words he said was enough to break me apart
"My girlfriend"
I couldn't hold back my tears they just start dripping on their own, all what I hoped for to have Daniel with me was all just in my imagination
After he said those words I didn't want him to see me cry, I couldn't ruin his happiness ..so I told him I was fine and that I could walk home from their on my own and rushed back home, without turning back.
As I got back home tears kept streaming down my face..I planned to tell him I love him today, but I guess I was to late.
"Maybe we weren't meant to be together"
