I was gettin' tired. I know I was awe struck by the décor, but now I'm sick of it.
Where are you Lolli? Impolite gesture is unacceptable. And you have reached the maximum level for it. I'd rate this kind of behaviour a minus 20. Yes, you have successfully gained negative markings.
As I got more and more furious at Lolli, I could notice some guys talking about me; more like I had to. That's because they were so loud and audible, I would've heard them even if I didn't want to.
"She's beautiful, isn't she?" He said as he glanced towards me.
Yes I am. Fools. Is that even supposed to be a question?
"Indeed, even though she's just sippin' wine, she is, in fact, gorgeous and-" The other guy interrupted, "I think I will make a hit on her."
"I thought you were in love with Charmis, no?"
"What? Charmis; no! Not her again."
He rolled his eyes and and continued, "I saw her kissing a girl! It was gross. I mean. I couldn't believe it, that disgusting feeling- I don't wanna even talk about her."
His friend burst out laughin' as he heard it and rubbed his eyes to wipe the tears. "You're one unlucky guy. Feel sorry for you man!"
Are they talking about Charmis Busch? Isn't she the heir of The Busch family? She's the sister of Augustus.
So, wait what? Oh Boy! This is some real shit.
The Busch family behind Budweiser beer, Bud Lite, Natural Lite, Busch Light, and Michelobe Ultra are among America's richest families. Their drinks have become one of the largest-selling beers in the United States. The Budweiser from Budějovice has been called "The Beer of Kings" since the 16th century.
They have three heirs presently; Adolphus Busch, Augustus Busch and Charmis Busch.
Since Adolphus is the first son, he has to take care of their family business. Next in line was Charmis. She is the most brilliant and profound girl I've ever met. I always was a little jealous of her because there was nothing she couldn't do.
As much as I'm aware, she's engaged to the heir of The Dorrance Family; Charles Dorrance III to be precise. It's going to create a havoc if she is actually a homosexual woman.
If what they're saying is true, than it's really saddening to know that Charmis has to actually marry a guy whom she barely even knows and that too, just because of some family business shits.

As I was contemplating my thoughts, the two guys walked up to me. As they got closer, I could recognize one of them. He had his hair long enough to tie up a pony tail at the back of his head and dressed in dark suits; decent as well as tolerable for a party. Just then it clicked me, he was Éva's cousin; Asher.
I'm sure he doesn't recognize me, it's because I never was involved in any business matters, but Asher; he's currently the CEO of his father's company. I know it's all because of their family relations, but still, being a CEO at such a young age ain't no joke.
"Well, hello HaeRa!"
Wait, how does he know me? I looked at him perplexed and my facial expressions were literally speakin' what was in my mind.
"There's no need to be puzzled! I've heard a lot about you from Lolli and seen your photographs. However, it's my first time to actually witness your beauty." He chuckled.
I looked up at him and spoke,
"I suppose I should take it as a compliment, Mr. Asher."
"There's no need for the formality! After all, we're in the same age group. I actually wanted to meet you in person since long. But, I couldn't as you know, I'm a busy man."
Also, how could I forget his biggest expertise; flirting with women. I know that you are a businessman, so just stop the bragging.
"Absolutely, who wouldn't know how busy of a man you are!"
To this, his friend, whom I couldn't even recognize, elbowed Asher and playfully teased him. As though, I were the one flirting with him. No dear, I wasn't.
It wasn't new to me, seeing these type of gestures. I tried hard not to roll my eyes to these childish behaviour. Only if Walter were here, than I wouldn't have to encounter these fools.
"So HaeRa, mind if I ask you out for a dinner tonight?"
I knew this would be his question for some obvious reasons. I wanted to decline his offer, but I had to tell him in such a way that he doesn't think I'm playing hard to get.
"It would be an honour to be able to share the tables with you, but I'm sorry that I need to accompany my mates for an assignment I need to complete."
I'm out of excuses. What can I say that he stops making a move on me?
He looked upset to hear this, but wasn't disappointed. He held my hands and I was momentarily taken aback by his act.
He snickered as he touched my fingers which held the glass of wine. Discomfort from his touch was making me shiver. I let go of the glass in surprise and it hit the floor.
The glass shattered into pieces and the noise from the broken glass brought everyone's attention towards me.
I felt embarrassed. I never encountered such a scene, it was making me anxious. Every eye was facing me and making me shudder from the inside.
Just then, a waitress came and started to collect the broken pieces.
As I was about to leave the place in embarrassment, the couples; Auden and Éva; walked down the stairs making a grand entry. Everyone's attention diverted to them and they applaused with cheers as they walked down for the rings exchanging ceremony.
Lucky for me that they made their appearance right on time. I looked at them as they held each others' hands and descended towards the hall.
I noticed that Éva's eyebrows were brought together closely, forming wrinkles on her forehead, but she gave out a forced smile, the corners of her lips were still twitching. Auden also seemed worried, he kept on wiping his sweat. It was written all over their faces that there was a problem.
The guests were not even aware of the tension between the couples. The reason being, most of the elites come to these parties to make their business bonds stronger with others and they do not care about anything else.
Just then, the girl, who was picking up the broken glasses, stood up. She kept them aside and walked towards them. She looked at Éva and said, "how could you choose a guy like him to marry? You know about him, don't you? I mean... About us."
Everyone gasped in shock to hear a waitress speak such words to a multi millionaire's daughter.
Even I was left speechless. How could a mere waitress speak such bold words? Isn't she afraid of the consequences?
She continued, "he chose to marry you." She paused as she was tearing up. Éva looked at her and whispered to Auden in his ears covering her lips with her hand.
"You know what... He slept with me, countless of times... And I allowed that! Just because he promised to marry me! Not you! What do you even think you are?" Her voice cracked as she spoke. She turned to Auden and held his hands.
"Auden, my dear, if it is because of the business matters I understand. You don't have to marry me, I'm willing to be your concubine, if that will let me be able to stay with you. Please, don't abandon me!"
The guests started gossiping about it. It became a little noisy and just then, the sound of a smack silenced all the commotion. It was so loud that it echoed through the walls of the hall for sometime and the woman dressed as a waitress stood still, covering her cheek with her hand and her eyes tearing up.
"Bitch" she said.
