Bia POV

I looked at my deskmate, sitting up straight. He had...caught me in an awkward situation a few days ago.

"Hi El." I said enthusiastically.

"Bia who's he?" Ash asked, his arm around my shoulder.I flushed a bit, and let myself imagine he was jealous.

"He's my deskmate, Elliott.Elliot this is Ash,my best friend." I introduced the both of them.

"Nice to meet you...El." Ash said, something in his tone making me feel warm all over. Damn he was hot, especially when he spoke in that thick British accent.

"Nice to meet you too, Asher. Bia talks a lot about you." He winked at me, making me flush even more. He had to say that to Ash!

"Anyway,I'll be off. Just wanted to you that you look beautiful today."

Eli left,a triumphant smirk on his face. I watched him sit with his friends , confused.

"Who is he?" Ash asked, his expression cool.

"I just intro..." He cut me off, leaning towards me. I blushed at his sudden proximity.

"Who is he to you?" Ash's breath tickled my ear.

"He...he's just my friend." I stuttered, feeling stares on us. After all, we were popular and lots of girls and guys had a crush on us.

"Good." Ash stated,giving Eli a glare.

"Why do you care?" I asked, acting nonchalant.

"Because you're my best friend." He said, the tips of his ears turning red.

I laughed to myself,pleased.

After a few minutes of sitting in silence,we reached our school,Beecher High,where we had been attending for a few months now.

"Come on,let's go." Ash held my hand through the crowd of teens. Lots of people smiled at us,some coming up to talk to us.

"Hey Mari!" Mariposa was my best friend, mom's cousins daughter. She was very gothic, an awkward stage of her life.Her ears were pierced and her eyes streaked with liner.

"Marrriposa." Ash teased,throwing his arm around my neck.

"Addison.I see you and Bia haven't gotten to it yet."

"Di cosa stai parlando?" I asked, confused,but saw Ash blush from the corner of my eye.

"Nothing baby. Meet you in lunch break."

"Baby?" Ash muttered,and escorted me to homeroom.

"Asher, Bia." The teacher smiled .We smiled back, sitting on the same desk.

"Did you know Mariposa and Ethan started dating?" I whispered into Ash's ear.

"Bloody hell. Who'd date that gothic chick?"

"Ash!" I protested.

"Bia!" He whisper shouted back.

We stared at each other, Ash amused, and me pissed off.
