Episode 5

Scarlet's POV

I decided to go on a little trip around the territory in the morning.Throwing some sneakers and tying my hair into a messy ponytail I set out.As I exited the pack house I met two buffy guys giving me suspicious look.I flash a smile at them which is sickly sweet.The sun is bight and warm in the morning, melting the dew drops that clinging to leaves.

I felt fresh.I searched for pack kitchen and I saw it in the distance.Since it is morning I needed to grab something to eat.The smell of fresh pancakes is thick in the air.My eyes roam for a familiar face until it land on Mrs.Holland.She is a middle-aged sweet women I met in the breakfast session before.

"Excuse me Mrs.Holland.I wanted to grab something for eat"I said eyeing on the freshly made sandwiches.

"And...I will get some sandwich for you." She said with a chuckle.

I sheepishly smiled.I am going to like her.

She handed over a sandwich and said "Call me Janet, Miss....."

"Just call me Scarlet."

Waving her a bye I begin to walk.I noticed that the pack was large.And also they have many shops that only can be seen in cities.I knew that most of the packs went for a monthly shopping in the city except for this pack.I heard that the new alpha aka Alpha Nathan is the one that raised this pack into a powerful one.Before Nathan the pack was a mess and lowly.Now it is the second strongest pack in the world.The first one is the Blackwilla.My wolf swelled with pride as I praise Nathan.

I stared at the kindergarten.Children playing with so much of happy and their mother watching them with love.I thought about my mom and dad.I have never been a cry baby but thoughts about them always made eyes tear up.

I lost them on that night.

I continue my journey.

I heard metal clanking sound.My wolf picked up the smell of sweat and blood.The smell of testosterone lingered in the atmosphere.I realize it is the training camp.Although women are not rare as warriors they were less in number.And male dominance was evident in this field.I walked towards the training camp.Male wolves began to pick up the smell of female intruder aka me.Many of them flash a disgust face and some of them are curious.Some showed a flirty smile which I ignored deliberately.I feel eyes on me.I turn back and met with three girls scowling at me.I recognize one of them as Melica,the one who couldn't keep her hands to herself.

"Isn't that the pup?" My wolf venomously spat.

I know I am short tempered person but compared to my wolf I was better.She was a beast whenever she is angry.So often I didn't unleash her on fights.I was the one that took control.

"What are you doing here, rogue?"She shrieked.

I noticed that she was on workout clothes so her friends.But she did wear make up for workout.Don't misunderstand me I don't judge other's choice,I respect others right to choose.

My wolf screamed in my head

"Do I need to explain you?"I mocked.

"I am the future luna of silvernight pack" She state with pride.

"Who the hell is she?"My wolf shook with anger.But I kept a cool face although felt a stung inside.

"Why would I believe you?"I retorted.

"Their engagement is going to be in a few months" One of her minions said.

Melica smirked at me.

Ouch....That one did hurt.Before I could talk back We got interrupted by a intruder.

"Melica what are you doing here? General is asking for you." He stated ,his face contorting into a confusion as he look at me.

Casting a last glance Melica went with her minions hot on her heels.

"Who is this beautiful lady here?"His eye gleamed with playfullness.

I look at him.He is taller than me with a well defined body that screamed his never missing routines.His chocolate brown eyes are warm and he got a nice boyish smile.

"Don't you smell I am a rogue?" I asked with a small smile.

"Yes but it doesn't resist the fact that you are beautiful." He winked.

"Scarlet"I rise my hands for a hand shake.

"Jay" He said as he take my hand to press a kiss on it.

Although I felt it weird I let it slid.I felt a chill ran through my spine.I turned around to met with a pair of dark brown eyes staring at me with so much angry.He started to walk towards us.His tight fitted shirt showed his broad shoulders.With his angry he look so hot.My wolf stirred in happy of seeing her mate.I kept my head high.

"Jay, don't you have training today?" His voice heavy.

"Yes alpha."

"Then what are you doing here?"This time Xavier asked.

"Chill brother,you know I can't resist a beautiful women" He winked at me again.

So he is Xavier's brother.They did have similar features.

"Jay go to your training'His voice thundered.I noticed he clutching his hand tightly.My wolf enjoyed the possessiveness her mate showering towards us,but I don't.

Their eyes widened in surprise especially Xavier's.

"Yes alpha I am going." He went back.

He turned towards me.I felt him so close.I felt his body heat radiating. Wow, I only reached his chest.I raise my head to meet his eye level.He stared down at me.His scent filled my senses making me dizzy.Without further thought I closed my eyes and inhale a big whiff of his aroma.My wolf felt content.Instantly I opened my eyes.Reality hit me like a truck.I stared at him,his eyes wide as mine but gradually a smirk formed on his lips making my cheeks crimson.

Xavier cleared his throat.

"What will be your decision, miss..."The alpha spoke.

I know that he do not know my name yet.And I don't want to satisfy him with me saying my name.So I said.

"Ms.Jones"

His face showed distress.

"And I agree to join your pack but i have one condition."

"And what is that?"

"I wish my group member Lilly to take part in pack activities only when she is comfortable with it.Currently she has problems with mixing with other wolves."

I watched his face shrinking with discomfort.

"I agree and talk later about the ceremony." With that he went back.

I looked at him as he faded in the crowd.I felt a stung in my heart.
