Episode 4

Scarlet's POV

I find myself crying in front of the mirror.After my parents death I have fought many battle, both internally and externally.During my lonely journey I met many and took some with me.They gradually became my responsibility.Sometimes I wanted someone to lean on.That's when I wished for him,my mate.I hoped that day would be the happiest day of my life.But today I feel tired.

I lay down in the bed looking the ceiling.

The moment I laid my eyes on him I felt the world around us stop.His delicious scent invaded my senses making my knees weak.He is the most beautiful creature that I have ever seen.His dark brown eyes hide something even darker.Its deepness could make me drown.His raven black hair styled neatly.His chiselled jawline made his face even longer.And his plump lips seems so....kissable.

But his words left me lifeless.I remember how my wolf whimpered in pain.She is still ignoring me hiding deep inside.But it seemed that  there is something that is pulling him back because his eyes were filled with unshed tears that trying to convey something that his mouth can't.

I can't leave him ....yet.I need reasons.Because I saw he cared.His eyes reflected with something that for me.It is enough for me to wait.Wait till he explain.

I closed my eyes with a sigh trying to sleep.

Suddenly a pain jolted through my back.I cried in pain.My eyes burned with tears.

I have never felt a pain like this.I grip edge of  the bed tightly.

"What is happening...."I screamed.

My wolf resurfaced screaming along with pain.

"Someone is hurting our mate."She cried.

"What"

But I can't think someone is hurting him.He was one of the strongest alpha in the entire were wolf world.I have heard many stories about him.He was nearly unbeatable.

A second jolt of pain shoot through my body and that made me fall from bed.I panted, tears clouding my vision.'I hope you for the meeting today' The former alpha's words rang in my ears.Has this something to do with him?

My mind raced at the thought of him being in danger.I get up with the heavy pain spreading on my body.I felt my knees give away.I raise my hand to touch the door knob.

A third wave of pain passed through my body ripping my soul apart.And I fell on the floor unable to move.

"Make the pain stop."I whimpered.

"My mate...who is hurting him"My wolf screamed in my head.

Although I hoped for another wave of pain nothing happened in that night.

I felt my eyes heavy.The night without sleep left me drained.I stared a the mirror.The familiar women with red hair stared back at me.She was tired, there were bag under her eyes that screamed lack of sleep.

I mind linked Ezra.

"How is she?"

"She is sleeping."

There was a moment of pause.

"She is exhausted I guess."

"Okay"

A knock on the door snapped my head towards the exit.There was a buff guy standing on my door.

"Yes"

"Alpha is invited you to breakfast." He said with disgust.

The disrespect angered me.I bared my teeth at him allowing it to extend.My wolf tried to take control.

The guy's  eyes widened with horror.

"I am sorry Miss.Alpha Nathan is waiting for you in the table,"

That calmed my wolf.

When I reached for the breakfast my mate was already there.His eyes roamed over my face.

I halted on my steps allowing my eyes to take in his face.later it roamed over his body to find any possible wound.

"Baby.."The woman near him purred demanding my attention.She was beautiful,I gritted my teeth.Her hand glided across his thigh.

Something in me twisted making my heart heavy.I fought against my wolf to calm her down.I am sure my eyes changing colours.

May be he felt my uneasiness.

"Melica ,eat your breakfast" He stated as he looked at me forcibly taking her hands away from his thigh which brought a smirk to my face.

Lilly came with Ezra.She noticed a smirking scarlet and a helpless Nathan looking at her.And she wondered why.

"Scar" Ezra called, earning a glare from Nathan.

"Lets sit"

They sit across the table, the rogues forming a group at the end of the table.Scarlet felt eyes on her which she deliberately ignored.

Melica noticed Nathan eyeing the redhead.She saw adoration filling his eyes as he looked at her.The Nathan she knew was unable to feel anything. He never had any emotions.

Jealousy churned in her mind.She knew she needed to do something.

"Baby..why are they smell like rogues?" She said loudly enough to hear everyone in the hall.

"Because they are, Melica." He said not wanting further talk.

"Then what are they doing here...alive?"

"When did you get involved in the pack business?" This shut her mouth.

At evening the alpha met the rogue group.

"I have an offer for you."He told in a serious tone.

Scarlet sit across him, calculating his words.

"I want you to join our pack.If you join we mean no harm."

A low chuckle erupt from Scarlet causing everyone to look a her direction.

"And you think this is an offer?" Her voice mocking the alpha.

Xavier's eyes widened in surprise.'This girl got balls ' he snickered between his thoughts.

"Yes" Nathan said sternly.

She took a moment before speak.

"We need time."

She knew that most of them wanted an opportunity to join a pack.Because it is rare for a rogue to get such an opportunity.And she didn't wish to take that right from them.But she has speak to someone.

"Ezra, meet me with Lilly"

"Okay, Scar"

Ezra saw this coming.The moment Nathan put the proposal forward he saw this coming.

Lilly's face held tension as Scarlet enters the room.She noticed Ezra sitting on the chair.She knew that her decision is going to hurt them the most.However she wished them to know all the truth.She didn't want to be depicted as selfish when they know the truth later.Because she knew she will chase Nathan.She is not going to fail without even trying.

"What is your decision, Scar?"He asked although he knew what the answer is going to be.

"Lil come here"she pat the seat next to her as she took a seat in the bed.She knew what Lilly has gone through.When they found her she was in the verge of depression.Broken and fragile.

"Lil,I know this is a difficult decision for you.But Most of us seeing this as golden opportunity.I am going to agree for the offer.But before we join I have something else say to you both which is going to be a secret between us."

"Nathan is my mate"

Ezra stared at nowhere.Out of all people he is the one that destined for her.His son.Ezra gritted his teeth.He stared at his mate.She remained silent.Her face pale as paper.It take long before she speak.

"I am happy for you, Scar" But her voice held no sincerity.

Scarlet nodded with a sigh.
