Episode 5: Limbu Sign

They marched to the cave at dawn. They were humming

cheerfully while they walked towards it. Soon they were surrounded by a small

group of merchants who came for the soul fragment. Some were discussing about

how rich they would be after selling that soul fragment. Some were discussing

on how to take the soul fragment and become the most powerful person in the

world. Others discussed on how to set traps to get rid of maximum merchants.

Loppo was the leader of their merchant group, The Good Merchant team.

A huge rock blocked the mouth of the cave. It was said that the rock moved on

its own as if it was alive. But what the people didn’t know was that when it

would open. All the merchants waited in front of the entrance waiting for the

rock to move. Loppo said he want to take a stroll. He got up and walked towards

the forest which was beside the cave. He walked around the mountain base which

was the outskirts of the cave. Just before he reached the middle of the round,

he noticed a sign on the base it had a strange symbol and a weird language was

written underneath it. He wanted to know more about the symbol more before

entering the cave. He walked back to his team mates. Just as he turned his back

to the symbol he felt an ominous presence of a person as if that person was

watching him. He looked back and saw nothing. He continued walking back to his

companions with the feeling of someone watching him.

“Finally that person came,” said the ghost which was behind

him in his mind. As he reached his companions he told them that it was best not

to go today. “You found a clue?” asked Kai Ren. “I guess so. I’m going to the library

to find more information,” said Loppo. He left his companions behind and walked

to the town library. His companions looked at each other and shrugged. “he has

got something on his sleeve I guess. All we could do is trust his instinct

cause he’s the leader,” the merchants said to each other.

Loppo reached the library and was about to ask the librarian

just as his eyes rested on the book which had the symbol he was looking for. He

was absorbed in the picture of the book which showed a black robed black crowned

young man. “May I help you?” asked the librarian. “Um …. What book is that?” he

asked her, pointing at the book. “Oh this one… it’s called the Limbu Language

created by a mysterious person. Most people are not interested in these kinds

of things nowadays because the language was hard to learn. Why do you ask?” she

said. “Do you understand its language?” he asked. “Yes,” she replied. “Then can

you come and help us tomorrow in the expedition to the cave?” he asked. “I will

pay you 5 platinum coins,” he said before she said yes or no. ”Fi.. five platinum

coins?!!” she said stammered loudly. ”Ok. I’m in.” “We will meet tomorrow

outside the library. We will escort you to the cave,” he said before leaving

the library. The next day would be a bad day for all of them.
