Episode 4 : The Farmer's Past And The Disciples of The Martial God

The farmer returned home. He carried Yang to the bed and

placed him lightly. He took the fish outside and started a fire to fry them. He

watched the house constantly, keeping an eye on Yang. But as the night grew

darker, he was feeling drowsy and falling asleep. He tried to stay awake, but

his eyes were too heavy for him; soon it shut and he fell asleep while he was

sitting.

(In the farmers dream)(Age 30)

“Hey Loppo, hurry up. We don’t have the whole day,” said the merchants. Ok

dear, I will be back in a month. Make sure nothing happens to the baby,” Loppo

(the farmer and the master of Yang) said to his wife who was pregnant for 7

months.  He waved and watched his wife

till she disappeared behind the hill. “Loppo, do you know about the martial

god’s disciples?” asked one of the merchants. “The martial god’s disciples? No

I have not,” he said. “Ha-ha,” laughed another merchant (Kai Ren). “I heard

rumors about them. They were the greatest people on the face of the earth. It

was said that they were unique and had polished their abilities to an extent

that was beyond perfection that no one has ever reached. There were thirteen

disciples. And each of them knew how to fight differently. The first disciple

was a martial artists and he can use any weapons. He was called ‘The King of

Killers’ because he would kill the murderers and human traffickers without a

second thought. The second disciple was a medicine master. He can cure all

diseases except death, also he was an expert in poison making. He was nicknamed

the poison master. The third disciple was an expert in detecting the value of

things.  He can see through most of the

things and tell what is inside of it. He was nicknamed 'The Revealer'. The fourth,

fifth, eight and twelfth disciple were unknown. The seventh disciple was very

cunning. He used to use underhand tricks and traps when he fights anyone. He

always stays alert and is well prepared. The ninth disciple was called ‘The

Untouchable’ because he was an expert in hand to hand combat martial arts. The tenth

and eleventh were unknown for their skills. Some say they were twin brothers

who were magician. Others say they made earthquakes with their colossal

strength. The last and final disciple is said to be the brightest and the most favored

disciple of the martial god. He used to be brilliant and he found a way to help

non magic folks to use magic. But his methods were too ruthless which were

banned by the magic association. If anyone was found having a magic ability but

no grimoire was killed on spot. I also heard he created the Death Valley which

separated the humans and the elves, the dwarfs and gnomes. That was what I heard

about the disciples. The martial god was said to have all these powers and no

one could defeat him. No one at present has known the martial god or his disciples.

It is said that the twelfth disciple created a dimension which led them to

another world.

 That is where this story ends and a new one starts. A war started about a hundred years ago. It was

the coming of demons and the martial god and his disciples fought against them.

It was the bloodiest year at that time. Almost a billion lives of humans and elves

and dwarfs were claimed. In the middle of the time of war a disease broke and

which took away the lives of the cattle. At that time the medicine master was

on the verge of his death. He left a fragment of his soul before he died. He died

alone in the cave and was informed by the martial god. The martial god was the

only trust the humans had left. So he fought the demon emperor. He made a deal

with the demon emperor. They would have a death match and the winner would have

the power to control the troops of the enemy. It was a stunning fight but both

the demon emperor and the martial god lost their lives. There was no victory. The

demons fought the humans without a leader. Soon the other disciples lost hope

as their master had passed away. The remaining disciples left a soul fragment so

that they could pass down their knowledge. Each one of them left their soul

fragments in unknown places. But now rumors had spread that a soul fragment has

been found. So we were given the mission to find that fragment.” “How far are

we from the destination?” asked Loppo. “We will arrive at sunset. About an hour

left,” said Kai Ren.

At sunset they arrived at Kurl town. There were few other merchants who came

for the soul fragment. They rested at a hotel and were preparing for their

dangerous journey.
