Chapter 3: Divine Punishment

Mike went to his sword stance, getting ready to swing the sword at the rhino beast. The beast charged forward with the flaming sword, Mike swung his sword towards it. *CLANG* The two swords collided, Mike was pushed back abit but the rhino beast stands firm. The magicians watching the fight started to think of running away.

"Hurry call for backup that can help"

"Should we run away? We won't be able to help much anyways"

Mike got pissed off hearing this low morale magicians. Raising his bright glowing sword pointing towards the sky, he casted his best skill.

Divine Punishment!

5 glowing swords appeared, each the same size as Mike's sword. They started to hover above Mike. When Mike pointed his sword towards the rhino beast, the 5 swords flew towards the beast.

The beast seeing the swords decided to flee. The swords however were too fast slicing the beast's armor with strength. The beast finally was dealt a critical hit.

The beast got enraged, knowing that it will lose it started to prepare for one final attack. The sword at the beast's head started to glow red. Slowly, the concentration of fire energy at the sword started to increase. It was aim at the walls of Glorious city. Seeing this Mike started to aim the beast's sword instead of the beast's body. The 5 swords than started to combine to become 1 big gigantic light sword. The sword flew to the sky, and than started to drop to the ground like a meteor. The beast than got ready to shoot it's final attack.

PSSH!

The gigantic sword that fall from the sky sliced the beast's head from the body killing it. Seeing this Mike felt a sense of satisfaction. Then he lost consciousness. The magicians nearby were celebrating their victory although they did nothing. When they saw Mike fall, they hurry took him to the Healer. Magicians who control light energy are able to use healing skills. Thus, many people wants to be a Light Magician.

Awhile later Mike woke up at the hospital. Seeing the dark sky he hurry left the hospital and head for the inn where John is.

"John! How have your gathering of energy went?"

"I was able to gather energy at a very fast rate dad. I'm already have a energy level of 86 for my light energy!"

"Good have a good night sleep and get ready to cultivate tomorrow again. 2 days later is the entry test so you have to be ready"

The next day, the news of a Energy emperor appearing in Glorious city was spread like wild fire. The magicians who saw what Mike did told people about what they saw. Many magicians were rushing trying to find him trying to recruit him. When Mike saw this he was in shock, he hurried went back to the inn and changed his hairstyle trying to disguise himself.

Mike then left the inn in search of a job. While John was gathering energy he thought of gathering another type of energy today.

'What about fire energy? Since father asked to show light and fire energy.'

When John was gathering fire particles he realised that there were more light particles than fire particles. However he still continued to gather fire particles. At the end of the day he gathered lesser fire particles than the amount of light particles he gathered yesterday. He went to bed early that night as the next day was the entry test for the Energy Academy.

"John wake up! It's time to go now"

John shot up awake and got ready for the exams. Mike and John went to the Energy Academy together which was located at the south of Glorious city.
