Chapter 7 - Morning

I don't remember when I fell asleep. All I remember is the sensation of Eric's warmth against mine. He isn't here... figures. My body winced a little from the experience. He didn't go easy on me yesterday. I took a glance at the pile of used c*ndoms on the floor. We did it so many times...

I blushed, hitting my cheeks firmly. "Come on, Anna! You can do this! Another day of hard work is ahead of you!" Getting dressed into my uniform, I grabbed a piece of bread and shoved it into my mouth as I ran down the street. I was late... that is never good!

Guess that I'll have to take a shortcut! Cutting through an old lady's backyard, I skillfully climbed up the wall and jumped off it, just as fast. As I soared through the air, I smiled my eyes sparkling. Catching onto the wall across the street, I hoisted myself up and ran along it, skipping out on five minutes of travel.

Not that I had realised it, but I had just past a boy with blond hair. Seeing me pass by him, he grinned. "That girl... she's interesting, I can already tell!"

"Sorry I'm late, everyone!" A girl whimpered, hugging my arm tightly. "I was scared that you were sick, Anna! Hey, you never told me where you live!" I smiled at her, telling her a text book answer. "I'm not sure myself. I only moved there a month ago." It isn't a lie. It's just a great way to avoid the question.

"Well, do you want to go on a double date with me tonight? I've got a really handsome boy that is dying to meet you!" I then heard the noise of something snap. I believe that was just Eric breaking a pencil. Better decline.

"I'm sorry, but I've got some tutoring sessions to sort out tonight. It's a real shame though!" She huffed and sighed. "You're so hard working compared to the rest of us, Anna! You're doing that tutoring for money, right? Don't your parents give you pocket money?"

Eric raised his head. I nodded. "They don't give me anything." Because they're dead. Again, not a lie. She looked at me with wide eyes. "You poor thing! How do you survive? And you still look that cute? I'm so jealous of you!" There's nothing to be jealous of. I'm a fake who only knows how to work and study.

"Hey, Anna!" I then looked up and saw a group of boys from two years above us. How do they know my name? "Hey, come with us for a second! The teacher needs you." The teachers needs me?

"See you guys later!" As I walked over to the guys, I then saw them grinning and slowed down my pace. I don't think that they are going to bring me to the teacher.

Then, put of the blue, Eric ran and punched one of the guys in the face, starting a fight. What the heck... was he thinking? As he fought all three guys, he ended up with a bruised cheek and abrased knuckles while the other three... weren't as fortunate. Why did he start that fight so suddenly?
