Chapter 2: A Whole New World

"Ow!" Wei Lan rub her back as she feel down in the cold hard land?! "What the f---!" People passing by her look at her with confusion and disgust. "Keep your eyes on yourself!" she stand up and look around.

"Hey miss." Wei Lan look around then on below her to see a Young girl tugging at her skirt. "You dress weird and your colors are very unusual. Are you from other lands?"

She think for awhile and then smile at the girl."Nope I'm from very far away place."

The girl tilt her head in the side. "Where?"

Wei Lan point the sky. " I'm from there." and then she pat the girl's head and walk off. 'I don't think this is a dream but I'm pretty sure I know where I am." She sigh.

While walking around she notice a large group of people hovering something, a shop maybe? she walks towards them and squeeze her way into the front and her eyes almost budge from her eye sockets.

6 men shirtless are inside the cages with collar in their neck. They look like slaves and looking further inside she can more cages so there are more inside.

"Slavery? No. Maybe from a war? Well judging from their looks it's looks like they are." Now Wei Lan is having an internal dilemma. 'Should I help them? But I need to find a way to go back and I never know what will happen if I did free them. Maybe they will be captured again.'

"Now for the next auction we have here a very young boy who's beauty exceed even a woman's. Just think what he will look in the future." the seller said.

'Thats it.' Wei Lan take out her phone from her pocket ad walks towards the buyer. ' If your really boy crazy then you cannot say no to this.'

"Hey miss seller I want that kid in exchange for this." She held out her phone with a very popular and handsome is singing. The seller along with the crowd goes straight to her like a pack of hyenas to a meat. While they are busy Wei Lan freed the boy "Go" she whispered and freed the other men and what was left is cage at the very back. "Hello?" she opened the door and the moment it opened a guy dash out and pin her to the ground.

"Who are you?" the guy asked. His skin is tanned and he has silver hair that hides his eyes. His body is littered with scars.

"That doesn't matter since your free and you might want to run because the video I played only last for 10 minutes." she reasoned out but the guy didn't show sign of understanding.

"Let my mom go!"

They both look at the side to see a boy, the boy he freed first. "I told you to run."

"No!" The boy did stubbornly. "I won't leave you mom."

"I'm your WHAT?"

"Hey!!!"

"Sh*t!" Wei Lan pushed the guy and drag him and boy and made a mad dash. "RUN!"

"COME BACK HERE THIEF!" The seller tried to run after them but Wei Lan so fast like she is chased by lions.

When no one is around she stops and slump down on the ground.

"Are you okay mommy?" she look at the boy and sigh.

"I'm not your mom." she says in a very flat tone.

"But you could be."

"..."

"..."

"Fine and you." She looks at the mysterious guy. "You okay? Sorry I drag you with us."

"..."

"Your the silent type huh. It's okay I guess." Wei Lan stand up and carry the young boy. "Well I think this is good bye? Take care okay. Don't let them catch you again." With that she walks off.

The guy look at her retreating form and follows her. She looks at him in confusion and shrug. "Well welcome aboard."

And that's how Wei Lan meets one of the people that will either be her greatest ally or her worst enemy.

And perhaps be more.
