Chapter 4 John Is Married

"Vel... You know what im about to ask right?" I said to her. I have to know why she went there. ".... I... Im..." Vel looked like she was afraid, or scared. Its like she is being oppressed by something. "Whats wrong Vel?"

"F... F-ather..." She said in a whisper that I could barely hear. "What?" Just as I asked the door opened.

"Eeeyyy! Ralph! Brought you breakfast! Some good medium cooked steak!" John cheerfully said. What a very inconvenient moment for him to come in here.

"Ah... I'll wait outside!" Vel said and left in a hurry. What is she hiding?

"Just sit outside ok Vel!! *Ahem* I know what your going to ask me so... Yeah, just say it" John seems to know so I'll just say it then

"Why were you there?"

"Well... You know I do business right? I had to finish a contract there, until I heard about the commotion. I think its best to thank me that I was there you know rather than question that I was there" Well John did have a point... If he wasn't there then I would have died and Vel could have been... I let out a long Sigh and John noticed it

"What's wrong mate?"

"Do you know anything about why did Vel work there?"

"Of course I do... But I think its best if you ask her than me explaining it, that way you might get to know her feelings better and she might trust you even more."

"Your right..."

"But you cant leave this bed yet. You have to stay until tomorrow, my family doctor suggests you stay her for a bit"

"Wait... Your family... Doctor???" Im confused... Is this the hospital or not?

"You probably thought this is the hospital but its not. This room is actually built just in case for an accident we dont have to drive for hours to the hospital"

"So that means..."

"Yup! Your in my Mansion right now! I brought you here because my doctor is way better than in private or public hospitals, besides... The hospital was a bit farther than my Mansion"

".... Anyway.... I have to make another excuse for my boss..."

"Aaahhh! Dont worry! I called your boss and told him that to give you a month vacation"

"WHAT!? But I dont even have enough money to pay anything at all..." My savings are kinda low right now! I havent even paid my rent yet! And now this idiot just called my boss to give me a vacation!!

"I'll deal with your financial issues, your just to worrisome! Come on! Were best buds arent we? Let us or let me help you sometimes at least, thats what friends are for"

I let out another long sigh... Well he is right... But its just... Back when we were teens it was always been me who helped him financially the most... Its just a bit weird that im the one who has the problem now and not him. Anyway... I should ask him to let Vel in so I can talk to her personally."Can you let Vel in now? I'll talk to her"

"Okie dokie! But I will eavesdrop! You cant stop me!" After he said that, he left and Vel came in. She looks a lot nervous now. She sat beside me.

"You know what im about to ask right? So just say why you were there..."

"R-remember... My d-dad?" She looks way nervous now and terrified

"Yes. I do know. What about him?" I think I now where this is going

"He went... To another c-casino again and... Lost... So h-he f-forced me to work and p-pay for it..."

"Damn him! Once I get out of this bed I'll talk to punch him in the face!" What kind of father is that?! Forcing her daughter to work in a place like that!?! Why wont he just get a damn job and live peacefully!!!

"D-dont! Although... He.. He is bad... But he is... Is... Is till me f-father..."

I looked at her again... She's really a nice girl, she still cares about her father even though he is bad. I smiled at her which made her blush a little. At this moment... All I want to do know is stare at her cuteness...

"Alright, alright! Stop it! Jeez! So ummm... Vel about your fathers dept... I already took care of it! I also solved all your other financial problems! So its alright!" John said with a big smile. Its rare for him to help others, because he mostly didnt.

"W... What? But wh-" Before Vel could finish John interrupted her "Its fine! Were friends arent we!? Look Vel... Whenever you have these kinds of problems... Like financial... I can help you with that... And when it comes to emotional stuff.. Heh... And other physical things... Consult Ralph for that!" He said the last sentences with a big grin in his face. Gosh... He still the same old perv back then.

"I... I don't know to s-say..."

"He is right Vel... Thats why were here... To help you..." I said trying to reassure her. "By the way... You said You had a family doctor, I thought your parents died?" I asked John. His parents died when he was still 15. He worked partime jobs to pay of his rent and other things. If he has a family doctor... It would be weird...

"Oh! Ummm... Yeah... Uuuhhh... How do I expl-" John was interrupted by a loud crash nearby. And a somesort of maid came panicking. "Master! Lady Veil is still drunk and keeps on ruining the house once again! I request Master to help!"

"Lady Veil? Wait are you?" Im so confused right now. He didn't mention getting married! Moreover, he promised himself to stay ******. What the hell is going on?

"I! I'll explain to you later! Take me to her!" John looked like he is worried. Does he care about this Lady Veil? In the past... Except Maria and Vel, he hated every women he encounters. He always sees them as dangerous snakes. Like they were enemies. I never knew why... But this woman must be special to him.

He left in a hurry while me and Vel stayed here confused and in silence. But the silence didnt stay long. More crashing or banging sound were heard. Its like a commotion out there. I can hear some distant shouts though...

"You bastard where did you hide it?!" The voice sounded like the voice of the woman with a red hair back in the PUB but like drunk

"Look! Im hiding those damn Wine so you wont go around breaking things and hurting yourself! And still!!! YOUR PREGNANT!!!!" This shout sounded like John! And wait... PREGNANT!?! John is going to be a father!? Wow... No wonder John was so worried...

"So what!? Show where the wine is or else I'll go outside drinking again!!!" The woman really sounds drunk...

"All right!! Thats it!!! Jeremy!! Use it!" And who is Jeremy?

The commotion seemed to end. And the same maid came in instead of John. "Im sorry dear guests, for the commotion outside. I hope it didn't give you inconvenience..."

"Oh its fine! But can I ask whats the relationship between John and that woman" I need to know.....

"Madam Veil and Master met a year ago, I dont pretty much dont know how they got to know each other. But apparently, Madam Veil is currently pregnant with Masters child."

"How old is the baby then?"

"The child is apparently 9 weeks old, Madam Veil is very into alcohol which is bad for her health and the Child. So master uses mild tranquilizer rounds to calm her down just in case she gets drunk again."

"Tranquilizers? I think its a bit too much..." Even if its mild... I think its a bit too extreme, its like treating her as wild animal who went rampage.

"There are no other ways. Anyway, my main purpose here is to guide Miss Vel to the guest room. And please Mr. Ralph, stay in your bedroom. We will provids you with lunch and dinner later" So Vel is going to stay here overnight?

"Wh-what?! B-b-but! W-w-w-why?! I cant... Just..." Vel looks very surprised! It looks like she didnt plan on staying here at all

"Dont worry Miss Vel... We got permission from your father. And my Master still has an unfinished business with you. Unfortunately, master is currently dealing with Madame. So my master told me that you stay here until tomorrow, now please follow me..."

"..... Mn...." Vel nodded her head and left the room. This is quite an experience... Ever since the gathering. Things have been a bit rough and interesting... First the PUB incident, now Johns child and wife?! I think my life is going to change drastically from now on. Sigh... I should think what to ask John tomorrow... I have a lot of questions... But should I ask Vel first? Well... Gotta eat my steak first... Its gone cold because of all the talking I did.
