CHAPTER 2 - THE VAMPIRE'S SECRET

As Kael's eyes locked onto Hannah's, he felt a jolt of electricity run through his veins. There was something about her that drew him in, something that made him feel like he'd finally found what he'd been searching for.

Hannah's smile faltered for a moment, and she looked away, her eyes scanning the darkness. Kael felt a pang of disappointment, wondering if he'd misread the situation.

But then, Hannah's eyes snapped back to his, and she smiled again, her lips curling upwards in a slow, sultry smile.

"I think I can help you with that," she repeated, her voice barely above a whisper.

Kael's eyes narrowed, and he felt a surge of curiosity. What did she mean?

"How?" he asked, his voice low and husky.

Hannah's smile faltered again, and she looked away, her eyes scanning the darkness. Kael felt a pang of frustration, wondering if she was going to answer him.

But then, Hannah's eyes snapped back to his, and she smiled again, her lips curling upwards in a slow, sultry smile.

"I know something about the prophecy," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "Something that could help you find what you're looking for."

Kael's eyes flashed with a hint of power, and he felt a surge of excitement. What did she know?

"Tell me," he said, his voice low and husky.

"I'm a vampire," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Kael's eyes widened in surprise, and he felt a surge of fear. A vampire?

But then, he looked into Hannah's eyes, and he saw something there that made him feel like he could trust her. Something that made him feel like she wasn't a monster, but a person.

"What does that have to do with the prophecy?" he asked, his voice low and husky.

"I have information about the prophecy," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "Information that could help you find what you're looking for."

Kael's eyes narrowed, and he felt a surge of curiosity. What information did she have?

"Tell me," he said, his voice low and husky.

"The prophecy speaks of two halves," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "Two halves that make a whole. And I think I know where to find the other half."

Kael's eyes flashed with a hint of power, and he felt a surge of excitement. Where was the other half?

"Tell me," he said, his voice low and husky.

"I'll take you to her," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "But you have to promise me one thing."

Kael's eyes narrowed, and he felt a surge of curiosity. What did she want him to promise?

"What is it?" he asked, his voice low and husky.

"You have to promise me that you'll protect her," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "Promise me that you'll keep her safe."

Kael's eyes flashed with a hint of power, and he felt a surge of determination. He would do whatever it took to protect the other half.

"I promise," he said, his voice low and husky.

Hannah's smile faltered again, and she looked away.
