Unexpected Love With My Bully
The rain had come out of nowhere. One moment, the campus courtyard was glowing with the last of the sunset; the next, it was a blur of silver and thunder. Students ran for cover, laughing and shouting, but Arjun stayed under the open sky, his notebook pressed over his head, searching for shelter.
He found it in the old music room behind the auditorium — the one no one used anymore. He pushed the heavy door open, dripping and shivering, and stopped short.
Someone was already there.
Ravi.
He sat on the piano bench, sleeves rolled up, dark hair damp, fingers moving across the keys as if he were trying to coax warmth from the music. His hoodie hung loose on his shoulders, his expression distant and calm — until he looked up and saw Arjun in the doorway.
“Didn’t think anyone came here anymore,” Ravi said, his voice low, almost drowned by the rain against the windows.
Arjun swallowed. “I could say the same to you.”
Ravi’s lips curved slightly. “Guess we both needed somewhere to hide.”
For a moment, neither spoke. The silence was thick — not empty, but full of something unnamed. The rain softened, and the sound of the piano filled the room again. A slow, aching tune. Arjun found himself walking closer, drawn in by the sound… by him.
“You play well,” Arjun murmured.
Ravi’s fingers paused on the keys. “You think so?”
“Yeah.” Arjun hesitated, then smiled faintly. “It sounds like you’re missing someone.”
Ravi glanced up, his eyes catching the dim light. “Maybe I am.”
Something in the way he said it — quiet, raw, almost like a confession — made Arjun’s chest tighten. He didn’t know what made him step closer, only that he did. Close enough to see the rain on Ravi’s lashes, close enough to feel the faint warmth between them.
Ravi’s gaze dropped to Arjun’s soaked shirt, and he reached for a towel lying beside the piano. “You’ll catch a cold,” he muttered, brushing the fabric over Arjun’s hair.
It was a simple gesture. But his hand lingered — just a heartbeat too long — and when their eyes met again, something electric filled the air.
Neither spoke.
Outside, thunder rolled again. Inside, time seemed to stop.
And in that moment — between the sound of rain, the scent of wet air, and the closeness neither of them dared break — something began. Quiet, reckless, and inevitable.
