Chapter 5: She Suffered So Much

A few hours later prince Lucid came back with the information about the humanities hero "Luanna Grace". Prince Lucid looked at his brother the king hesitantly as he holds the piece of information.

"Did you look into what I asked?"

Lucas looked at his brother with a killing glare.

"Yes, your majesty. However, it's better if we put the child in the prince's room first. The information is not good for a newborn baby."

Lucas looked into the child in his arm, quietly sleeping.

"Fine......Alfonso!"

He called Alfonso the head butler of the palace.

"Yes your majesty?"

Alfonso arrived hastily.

"Take this child in my son's room."

Alfonso's eyes landed on the child on his king's arms and his eyes widened.

"You're majesty! Is that your love child?!"

Lucas looked at him as his words send shivers down the deepest parts of his body. He looked at Lucid that was stopping his laughter and glared at him.

"You two! Do you want to be sent to the borders!"

Lucas said in a threatening voice.

"No you're majesty...."

Both said hastily.

"That's the child of someone special to my brother years ago...."

Lucid said with a wink.

"Ohh you mean the girl who said the young majesty years ago when he got lost?"

Alfonso said with a grin.

"Yes yes that's the one."

They both looked at each other grinning making Lucas a little bit furious but also embarrassed. The 3 of them have been friends since childhood and even if Alfonso is now a butler, he was once the heir of the ducal demon kingdom that is praised for his feminine looks.

"I should really send you to the borders..... you're getting too cocky..."

He said in a low voice full of seriousness and passion, he's determined to send them to the border where a lot of monsters lie.

"Ohh no....my health is too low and I can't survive a single day in the border your majesty."

He said as he hastily grabbed the child in the king's hand.

"I'll babysit the child!"

He looked at Lucid with a smirk and hastily ran leaving the king and him alone.

"Traitor......"

"Yes he is.....now should we talk about when I should send you to the border my little brother....."

Lucid looked at his brother trembling, his face covered in sweat.

"Brother let's talk this over.....ha.... hahaha"

He said as he immediately transported behind his brother messaging his back.

"Enough......what information did you get? Report!"

Lucas said in an annoyed tone.

"Yes sir!"

Lucid said as he went back in front of his brother's throne.

"Say....."

The king said impatiently.

"You see .....a year ago at some event, the hero Luanna Grace got a bit of alcohol and list control of herself. The next day she woke up in some man's bed making her break the rule to stay pure, but her father covered it up for her. For months she isolated her self and her father thought maybe she's just ashamed according to the maids. However, yesterday she gave birth to this child. She escaped and her whereabouts are currently unknown......"

"Is that all ....Lucid?"

"And I heard she's treated harshly by the royal family and even her own father didn't take her side."

He said in a low and hesitant voice.

"What kind of people are they?! Isn't she their hero?!"

Lucas said in a furious voice, releasing his killing intent.

"Find her whereabouts!!"

He said in frustration.

"But your majesty....even if she's alive we can't take her here. This is the kingdom of demons, the sworn enemy of her kingdom."

"By what you said are you suggesting she's dead?!"

He said furiously, crushing Lucid with just his intent to kill.

"Yes.....there could be possibilities. She just gave birth and running off after. She's not strong enough to fight for herself!"

Without hesitation Lucas stood up on his chair and placed a sword on his own brother's neck.
