Chapter 4:Time To Pay What You Owe

Back at the boundary, as demons were busily patrolling the area they suddenly heard a crying voice near. They followed the voice and saw a human child with a necklace that the demon kind lost years ago when he was just a prince. The demon hurriedly went to the palace without hesitation and brought the baby back. The king was currently in his bedroom holding his newborn son in arms as one of the generals opened the door hastily.

"You're majesty!"

The general, his body full of sweat.

"Is there anything you need general?"

The King said as he placed his newborn son on his crib.

" Yes your majesty. "

The general answered with a little bit of unease.

" Then let's go....... "

The king " Lucas " sat down at his throne and looked at all the demons present.

"What is it that you need to report generals? "

He looked at the generals seriously, his aura crushing them.

" And what's with these common demons? What are they holding? "

He added as he looked at the demons holding a child.

"Would you allow them to speak to you about it, your majesty?"

He nodded and gave his approval.

" While we were patrolling the boundaries between the human and the demon continent, we saw this child with the necklace the royal demon family could only have your majesty."

The king tilted his head as he raised an eyebrow.

" Where is the necklace that you said is a relic of the royal family?"

One of the demon handed the necklace to the general and the general handed it to the king. As the king

"Lucas" recieved the necklace, his eyes widened and hastily sat up from his seat.

"Where is the owner of this neacklace!"

He said furiously leaving the common demons tremble.

"I--it was worn by this human child your majesty, we don't know anything else."

The demon said with his voice stuttering.Lucas went down and grabbed the child.

"You may leave!"

He said as the demons who brought the child back left.

"Your majesty, why would a mere human child have that necklace?"

The general said with a but of worry.

"I don't know, bring my brother here!"

"Yes your majesty"

The general bowed and left.

A few minutes later, the demon king's younger brother came with a smug look on his face.

"I heard you're missing necklace is found brother or should I say the necklace you gave to that human girl a few years ago...."

He said with a grin .

"Shut it Lucid......scan this child for me."

With magic the demon king transported the child to his brother's arms.

"You got it brother...."

The second prince Lucid looked at the child and found a letter inside.

"Their is a letter brother!"

He said excitedly.

"And the child looks like the woman you describe years ago!"

He added with a smile on his face.

"Shut up and read the letter!"

The king's younger brother sighed and rolled his eyes.

"Dear Lucas........ohh so someone can call you your name other than father huh brother?"

Lucas face turned a little bit flustered.

"Shut up and. Continue or else I'll throw you into war all by yourself nest time!"

He said with a threat in his voice making Lucid shiver.

"Time to pay what you owe me.......what?! Brother do you have a debt to someone?"

" Shut up you idiot!"

He stood up and smacked his head.

" Fine I'll continue.......I have a little time in the world. I have a daughter and by now you must've guessed that I'm the saint and the hero. Meeting you is like a dream and I loved you for it. However that time I thought I could uphold my duty. However I gave birth which is forbidden for a saint and I can't live much longer....Please dear take care of my daughter. From the one you owe" Luanna Grace "

The second prince's tears fell down as he looked at his brother. Lucas eyes are fuming with anger of what might happen.

"Lucid!"

"Yes brother......"

"Look into what happened to her and do not leave every single detail."

Lucas said in a demanding authoritative voice as he grabbed Luanna's child from Lucid's arms.

"Yes brother....but could I at least see my newborn niece...."

He said pledingly.

"Lucid..... I'll tell you one last time....."

Lucid look at his brothers eyes and left hurriedly. Lucas sat at his throne and looked at the child Luanna gave birth to.

"What the h*ck happened to you Luanna?I want to know."
