Confused

He closed his eyes and was in thoughts in his seat. Jessica come to him leaning on to Aki's desk asked him, '' What is wrong with you today? Where are you spacing out again? Are you alright? '' while asking those questions, she placed her palm on Aki's forehead to check his body temperature. Aki didn't respond and was still closing his eyes.

Ewon was just leaving the office, saw Jessica's palm on Aki's forehead and his eyes being closed. He can't take his eyes away. He was glaring in their direction, while Chief interrupted saying, '' Why did you stop sir? Is there anything? ''

Ewon replied calmly, '' Nothing. ''

Ewon left the place. They were in his car, while his assistant was still in confused state. She didn't notice him behaving this way. She is keen-eyed person. She is really quick to notice changes, even a small one.

However it was her first time to see his boss taking note of someone, so she was confused at first. But after seeing him staring at that person while leaving, she was confident, that she wasn't mistaken.

So, she silently kept staring at him without interrupting, but Chief had done that.

Miki, '' Boss, will you agree with the project? ''

'.........' Ewon, '' Didn't think of it. ''

Its her first time, to listen those words from her boss. She kept staring at him.

Ewon, '' What do you think of the project? ''

Miki, '' I think its good, especially the last one. Yaa that the guy named Aki Akkihiro, his presentation was too good. What do you think boss? ''

Of course she is doing all that with purpose, she wanted to know more about how he is thinking. But for the fact, Aki's presentation was really good, anyone can be attracted to the was he speaks and the way he explains. Not only good looks but also good talks. Of course many will be attracted, but he keeps his distance to each and everyone. Only talks when presenting, other times he keeps quiet.

Ewon, '' Do you think we have to agree with the project? ''

Ewon simply avoided the question as though he didn't hear anything. Miki glared at him, and replied in a calm voice, '' If you don't want, we can cancel it boss. Should I make a call and decline it? ''

He already know if he declines it, he will never be able to see Aki again, for the fact that she also knows that. So she is using it to see his reaction. Ewon kept silence.

After a while he replied, '' It's not that bad I think, we can approve it. ''

Miki was just staring at him with a smirk.

Meanwhile in the office, Haru came back. He directly went to Aki asking in a joyous tone, '' How was your presentation? I know it will be superb but asking just for curiosity. ''

Aki was simply glaring at him, as though he wanted to kill him in the spot. Jessica arrived with coffee and gave it to Aki. Even Jessica was glaring at him. Haru was stammering while saying, '' W-Why are you..... staring at me like that? I didn't do anything, right? ''

Aki sighed, '' Nothing, but I am not gonna do any of your works from now on. Mark that.''

Just he completed saying those words, Chief ran towards them with joy and said in a happy tone, '' Congrats, they agreed to work with us. ''

Whatever Aki didn't reply it and ignored it, while Jessica and Hare faces were enlightened with the happiness. Before they can say anything Chief continued, '' Jessica and Aki, you both have to work hard for this project. ''

Aki didn't understand anything, he asked in surprise,

'' What it has anything to do with me. Its Haru's work and I just helped him. ''

Chief, '' Of course, I know that but now that you have presented it, you have to take responsibility for it. Haru will be working in the project anyhow, but the thing is you have to work for this too. ''

Jessica and Haru kept staring at both of them, not knowing what to say.

Aki, '' Why are you dragging me into this Chief? I already have my projects left to complete. Particularly I am not interested in this project. ''

Chief, '' What are you talking? It's really gonna be a great project. Your projects will be paused for the time being, if they have to be completed I can hand over them to others. Even particularly they mentioned your work so you have to take part. ''

Aki, '' But Chief... ''

Before he could continue anything, Haru interrupted saying, '' Why aren't you interested ? You said you liked this project before. ''

Jessica, '' Yaa, before presenting you said it will be a great project too. ''

Aki don't know how to answer them, he just don't want to be in a awkward situation like just before. More importantly he don't know how to behave in front of Ewon and what to talk.
