Skylar's POV :

"Wh...wha..what..?"

As he said those words, I fell onto the ground, utterly shocked.

How could he?!

"Are you blackmailing me?"

I gave him a death glare.

"You may think like that but I'd say it's the consequences of disobeying me."

He sounded really scary. Even though I've always been tough and strong, I didn't know why I feel so weak in front of him. His stares gives me chills.

Then, thinking about how my one and only family member, my precious little brother's studies would be stopped when he has a promising future ahead of him, just makes me feel so hurt and sad.

My tears started flowing. It was unstoppable. I couldn't do anything. I do not such high income to support my brother's tuition fees if he's forced to dropout, since he goes to a prestigious college through his hard efforts. I just couldn't, but I couldn't go against this guy's words either.

I felt hopeless.

Jayden's POV :

When she fell onto the ground and her tears started flowing down her cheeks, a sudden pain pierced through my heart.

Weird, what's this feeling...

Was I too harsh on her? I mean, I did use her precious thing to "negotiate" with her.

Ahhh what's wrong with me!!! Why am I suddenly soft towards a girl?! I've always been playing around and never really cared about anything. What's this..

I felt like protecting her. I just didn't want her away from me and damn, she's just so attractive.

"Wh..why me?" She asked while crying.

I bent down and caressed her cheeks, wiping off the tears that's dripping down her face.

"Hey hey, don't cry. I don't know why but you're very attractive and I just felt like protecting you, so please, would you be my woman?"

Skylar's POV :

He caressed my cheeks and wiped off my tears. I was taken aback by his actions.

His words sounded so gentle, is this really him?

No one, other than my brother, has ever said such caring words to me because I've always give off that cold and tough aura to people that made them think I'm very much capable.

But the truth is, I just wanted someone's warmth and care. I've always bully up a wall around my heart and held it in for a long long time and this guy just seemed to break it down without any difficulties.

I looked into his eyes, it was mesmerizing. I could get lost in it forever.

Wait! What am i thinking!! Now I'll just agree with him since my brother's on the line.

"Fi..fine, I agree."

Jayden's POV :

Wait, she agreed?

I suddenly felt so happy I hugged her on impulse.

Then I realised what I did and broke it off. I felt my cheeks getting hotter.

Seriously my actions really aren't matching my thoughts. Ha...anyways she's just someone to pass my time. I sure I'll get bored of her later too.

I composed myself again and said, "Great! Since you've agreed, you'll move in with me starting tomrorrow. I'll ask my assistant to move your necessary stuffs in today."

"What?! Why do I need to live with you?!"

I laughed at her reaction.

"Well because you're mine now."

She blushed. "Alright. But! Please don't hurt my brother."

Her head held down and I could sense her anxiousness.

"Don't worry, that depends on your performance." I smirked, though I'm not really going to hurt her brother.

"You..! Wait, I have some conditions."

"Fine state it."

"First of all, you can't let the public know about our relationship. Second, you'll not meddle in my business and I won't as well. Next, you need to give me my freedom. Lastly, keep your distance."

"Sounds good to me. And if you disobey me, you'll receive punishment from me. If I've gotten bored of you, I'll let you go."

After saying this, I noticed her expression became a little sour. I didn't paid much attention to it later.

"Deal."
