So today aye? I spoke to, and with a 'friend', and came to, that no body wants to read a sulking all day long. That's sad, cause I'm sure I wasn't sulking —ish.
Well D, here's something for you.
Once upon a time aye?...— and this little arc aye, it's not just cause I spoke with this friend; here's the build up for it.
So I woke up this morning — I really wish I could say 'early' this morning, but no, it'll be just, this morning— so I sprang up from my bed, opened my metal room door, went through the corridor to the balcony, looked downstairs from the balcony to check out if the people that sell water across the street were up now — that's not true, can't be true, given when I woke up, if they weren't open for the day, then that would be a 'no-day', since they're out every morning through the week, Sundays inclusive, so if we pay close attention, I probably was looking out to check if their water was running and not if they were up, I apologize, I'm barely making sense, but there really is a difference, and I do this everytime I need to get water, and yes, doing this helps me see if by miracle or call of fortune, the water downstairs inside the compound is running, and woah, ring them bells, I could see traces of water droplets dropping from the tap, and looking around the tank, the floor was wet, signs that there could be water, emphasis on 'could', please.
Seeing as they could be water in the tank in the compound —which spelt free water—, I went back inside my room, took out the 'kegs' — 25 liters jerricans— two of em, one for each hand, and started making my way downstairs.
Now before I keep going, I think I failed to mention or rather clarify some things. Firstly, you have to know, this scene here is not my regular morning routine.
This is what my morning routine looks like ; wake up, give thanks to God for life, open my Bible app and read, I used to do a 5 chapter each day, but recently , I adjusted that to 1 chapter or 2.
Now before you say whatever came into your mind, it's not because I'm slacking off, but after what I heard from someone I love and respect a lot, I decided to try dwelling on meditating on even a chapter, than just reading, cause he said, 'reading keeps you on the instructions but meditating brings it to life', something along those lines, so I decided to do that, which afterwards I'd get to go get water, before hitting the rest of the day, or it hitting me, whichever makes the headline.
So, with my two kegs... Sorry, secondly — forgive me, I sorta spent a little too much time arranging my tenses that I forgot I wasn't done with this part—, urm... I said 'my' room earlier, and 'my' metal door...hehehe, I got carried away, it's... it's...it's not 'my' room, and no I'm not squatting — sort of. So the mystery here is, the only thing I've added to this room, is probably my tiny world of clothing — my clothes for short, and yeah it's tiny, I would love to say the reason is I gave most of my clothes out before leaving for school, but that wouldn't hold water, since it really, really made no difference, so yeah. Urm... when my brother rented it — of course my aunt's financing—, it was his room, and since it was a lodge slash apartment building — apartment building really —, it served as a place I could also stay since I would be going to the same school, and yes Incase you're wondering, nothing changed about me being the elderst son, just that this elderst son, got into school way after his junior brother got in, so I'm 2 years behind him now, glorious isn't it.
So as much as it's our room, it really is his, so there's that for that. I really would love to solve this mystery too of how I'm running this college race from the back, but I'm still carrying two kegs and about to climb down some stairs — and you should know, those stairs don't joke, it's a 3 story flat, with us at the top floor, so this would have been a plight, just that I've gotten the hang of it, so it's less of that, ish... and yeah, hehe, I'm flying those stairs with water loaded kegs, 50liters in total, really glorious, don't you think?.
So having ignored my morning routine and now plying those stairs — and yeah my routine was messed up because of the time I woke up, but come on, gimme a break, I slept by past 4, yeah, a.m. I didn't invent sleep. I was busy, don't ask with what?
So, the stairs.
Climbing down theses stairs, something popped up and I was just singing it...
"I woke up this morning
Feeling so grumpy
I don't understand it
I don't really like it
Thought I had your goodness
Why'd I feel your joy less
This is just so grievous
And it is annoying, say...
Oh my God,
I really need you now
Holy Spirit you
Holy Spirit you
Holy Spirit you oo
Holy Spirit..."
Heeee, even singing it now, is making me glow, I really wish I could sing it for you to hear, or drop a voice note. It was a song I wrote 5 years ago, and having it flow out that way, took me back in time, and I had flashes. Haha, I'd call them, days of experience, of course, it's a big mixture of a whole load, just thinking about it, is making me blush, I guess...hahaha
And yes, it's not like time paused as I was having this moment, I had gotten to the last flight of stairs and after it I got to the end of the stairs and out in the open, and now there was a girl —a lady, as I call every adult female, so a girl basically — she wasn't there when I looked out the balcony before, so I wasn't expecting to see her or anyone else at that matter, cause I really doubted there would be water. Her buckets were beside the running tap, I didn't check properly at the time, if they had water in them or not, but the running tap was looking really slow. So firstly, thank God it was even running, but then, I doubted that with the way it was running, she probably was sucking out any last drop that lingered out of the tank.
I had in mind to just not bother, and go ahead outside and across the street to just get what I could — with pay no less, and I had my phone in my pocket for transfer, took it Incase I really had to cross the street. But nonetheless, I moved my legs to go gauge the tank it self, to be sure, my i's and t's were dotted and crossed.
Hehe, hitting the tank — which is a way of gauging it, except you ridiculously want to climb the, probably 14 to 15 feet high tank— I discovered, hurray, that there really was water and that free fetching was a go.
Not wasting the slightest moment — but of course not in a hurry — I placed my keg and turned on the tap, and watched as the water poured in. But of course, I wasn't just going to be staring at the water pouring , my mouth still wore the song, and of course my mind took me, and like it happens in movies after a flash, I was seated on a chair, 5 years ago, looking at a certain group of people as they...
