THE HIDDEN PATH

The morning sun barely pierced the thick clouds as Eldric stepped out of the inn. His mind churned with the chaos of the previous night—the strange visions, the whispers, the sense that something far darker was awakening beneath Eldoria’s surface.

He clenched his fists, feeling the faint pulse of magic inside him. Seven days. Every moment felt more precious now.

The village was alive, but he paid little attention to the bustling market or the greetings of villagers. His focus was elsewhere—on the whispers that still echoed faintly in his mind, urging him to seek the truth further.

He remembered the elder’s words: “The land tests those who seek power. To truly understand the magic, you must find the Heart of Eldoria—hidden deep within the ruins.”

As Eldric moved through the narrow streets, a familiar figure appeared—Kaelen, the shadowy stranger. His eyes gleamed with urgency.

“You’re pushing too far,” Kaelen warned softly. “The land is awakening secrets it’s better left buried. Be cautious.”

Eldric frowned.

“I need to know more. Every clue I find might be my only hope to survive these seven days.”

Kaelen’s expression darkened.

“There’s a place—an ancient passage—hidden beneath the ruins. It leads to the core of Eldoria’s secrets. But beware—many who enter never return. The shadows guard it fiercely.”

Eldric hesitated, then nodded.

“I have to go. I need answers.”

Kaelen’s voice was grave.

“Then trust no one. And remember—sometimes, darkness reveals truths better left hidden.”

Later that day, Eldric found himself at the entrance Kaelen had described—a concealed opening beneath a crumbling stone archway, covered in twisting runes. He traced his fingers over the carvings, feeling the arcane energy pulsing beneath the surface.

With a deep breath, he pushed through. The passage was narrow, dark, and damp. The air smelled of age and magic—dangerous and alive.

His footsteps echoed as he descended into the depths. The tunnel twisted and turned, illuminated only by the faint glow of his magic. He felt unseen eyes watching him, waiting.

At the end of the passage, he entered a vast chamber—an ancient vault filled with relics, glowing crystals, and inscriptions in a language older than time.

A voice—deep and echoing—resounded in his mind.

“Welcome to the Heart of Eldoria. Few can withstand its truth.”

He saw visions of the land’s history—conflicts, betrayals, and the dark power of the demon lord. The secret was clear: the true ruler’s influence spread far beyond what anyone believed.

His heart pounded. He realized that understanding this place was crucial. It might hold the key to mastering his magic—and perhaps, to escaping this cursed realm.

“Seven days,” he whispered again. But now, he knew the stakes were even higher. Time was running out, and the shadows in Eldoria were stirring.

He had to act—fast.

----

Darkness had fallen again, but Eldric’s mind was far from sleep. He sat in the chamber, the glowing crystals casting shifting shadows across the ancient walls. His thoughts churned—visions from the depths of Eldoria’s history, whispers of betrayal, and the looming shadow of the demon lord.

Suddenly, a faint whisper echoed through the chamber. It was soft, almost inaudible, yet it resonated deep within his mind.

“Eldric…”

He froze, eyes wide. The voice was unfamiliar but strangely familiar—like a memory buried beneath the chaos.

“Who’s there?” he called out softly, voice trembling.

From the shadows emerged a figure—cloaked in midnight black, their face obscured by a hood. The figure moved silently, gliding like a shadow itself.

“You seek answers,” the stranger said, voice calm and soothing. “And I can give them—if you’re willing to pay the price.”

Eldric hesitated, his hand instinctively reaching for a spell.

“Who are you? What do you want?”

The stranger’s eyes glinted beneath the hood.

“Call me a messenger. I’ve watched your progress. The land tests you, yes, but there are truths even the shadows fear to reveal. The demon’s power is greater than you know, and the lords hide secrets that could shatter your understanding of Eldoria.”

Eldric’s grip tightened on his magic orb.

“Then tell me. I need to know what I’m dealing with. I have limited time—seven days.”

The figure stepped closer, voice whispering like a secret wind.

“The demon’s influence is woven into the very fabric of this realm. To truly master your magic, you must uncover the source of the darkness—hidden beneath the Palace of Shadows, where the demon’s earliest power still lingers.”

Eldric’s eyes narrowed.

“How do I find this place?”

“Follow the whispers,” the stranger replied. “Trust no one. The shadows will try to deceive you, but your spirit must remain unbroken. The truth is dangerous—more than you can imagine.”

Before Eldric could reply, the figure dissolved into the darkness, leaving only the faint scent of smoke behind.

He sat in silence, staring at the flickering crystals. The puzzle pieces were aligning—he had to find the Palace of Shadows, and he had to do it before the seven days ran out.

Finally, he reached a vast chamber—its ceiling lost in darkness, walls lined with ancient runes glowing faintly. In the center stood an altar, carved from black stone, with a shimmering portal swirling in its center.

The whispers grew louder. The voice—more insistent now—demanded he step forward.

“The Palace of Shadows,” it called. “Where the demon’s power remains unbroken. Only those who understand the darkness can enter—and emerge alive.”

Eldric hesitated, then took a deep breath. His time was running out. Every second counted.

He stepped into the swirling portal, feeling cold, then heated, then nothing at all.

In that moment, he realized the truth—Eldoria’s shadows were alive, and the only way forward was through understanding the darkness within.

Seven days. He whispered to himself as the portal swallowed him whole.

His heart hammered in his chest. The shadows beckoned, and the secrets of Eldoria whispered promises of power—and peril. within so much less time he has to uncover so many secrets and understand the thounsand years old mysteries of Eldoria !

For Eldric things were getting interesitng for him. In his history books he read many ancients stories where the demons and gods prevailed people learning mystic arts , flying in sky. It was all a dream of Eldric back then , but now he was one with the history of Eldoria !
