Chapter 3 – The First Encounter
The grip of Murder Drone S tightened on Remee’s shoulder, his glowing eyes drilling into her.
“You dare… enter my ship?” he hissed.
Fear surged through her, and without thinking, Remee screamed and swung her device into his face to him. CRACK! The hit echoed through the metal corridor.
S staggered back slightly, more surprised than hurt. His expression twisted into anger.
“How dare you hit me… little mouse!”
Remee’s scream tore through the air, then—she went limp, collapsing to the ground.
S froze, blinking in confusion.
“…Wait. Did… did she just faint?” His voice sounded more puzzled than threatening. “This brat hit me like nothing and then—ugh.”
But Remee wasn’t unconscious. Her body trembled as she forced herself to lie still, pretending. When S leaned closer, muttering, “How would she taste…?” the words sent a shiver of terror through her.
Her father’s voice echoed in her memory: Always carry your inventions. They’ll protect you.
With shaking hands, she pulled out her smoke grenade launcher and aimed it at S.
S His eyes widened. “What—?!” For a moment, even he looked startled.
She pulled the trigger. Click! Nothing happened.
Her heart dropped. She had forgotten to load the ammo.
S grin stretched wide. “Well then. Guess I get to eat you after all.”
Just as his claws reached for her again, another voice cut through the tension.
“Stop, Commander. You shouldn’t scare the kid.”
From the shadows, Murder Drone E stepped forward, calm and collected.
S turned, annoyed. “Tch. It was just a prank.”
Remee sat up, her face red with both fear and embarrassment. “A… a prank? That’s not funny!”
S tilted his head, smirking. “It was funny to me.”
Introductions
E stepped closer, his tone gentler. “We haven’t introduced ourselves. I’m E. This grumpy commander is S.”
“Grumpy?!” S snapped, glaring, but E ignored him.
E “And you are…?”
Remee hesitated, then straightened her shoulders. “Oh I-I am Remee. From the bunker nearby.”
S folded his arms. “So, tell us, Remee… how did you manage to sneak in here and how did our spaceship didn't located you? And why risk your life in our ship and wandering out in the storm?”
She glanced between them, her chest still tight from fear. “I… picked up a strange signal. My curiosity got the better of me. I wanted to know where it came from. I didn’t mean to intrude, but… I can’t stay trapped underground forever. I want to see the world outside.”
Her voice faltered, then softened. “My father always warned me about drones like you. He said you were cold-blooded killers. But… looking at you now, I’m not so sure i can- can.....” she turn her face trynto say but she is fear
E studied her expression for a moment, then exchanged a glance with S. E"It your fault commander!!" . My fault !? "S"
Finally, E spoke: “In exchange for your honesty… we’ll give you our information and you can take anything you want. If you want to know about this place. And in return, we want something too.”
Remee frowned. “What?”
S leaned forward, smirking again. “hamp..We- we want to stay with you and the reason is we are tired of being alone.”
Her father’s warnings rang in her head—Murder Drones are monsters. But the way E spoke, the way even S threats felt less certain… it didn’t match the stories that her father told.
For the first time, Remee felt like she could trust them. At least a little.
But before she could respond, the ship shook with a heavy clang.
A cold, commanding voice echoed through the corridors.
“Hello Commander S. Commander E. Are you here ? Report immediately.”
The sound made Remee’s sacred. Whoever it was, they didn’t sound friendly at all.
S eyes hardened. He turned sharply to Remee.
“Hide. Now. We’ll handle this.”
E placed a hand on her arm, guiding her toward a locker near at corner.
“Stay quiet, Remee. Don’t move until its safe.”
As heavy footsteps echoed closer through the ship, the air grew tense.
Remee didn’t know who was coming—only that the real danger had just arrived.
