My Arrogant Secretary

My Arrogant Secretary

Episode 1

PGE Internacional was recognized as the leading company in the city of Cenepa, with a presence in multiple sectors: from restaurant chains and construction industries to the dynamic world of entertainment. Its influence was such that everyone in Cenepa and its surroundings knew the charismatic CEO, Alfonso Brescia.

Brescia stood out not only for his business success and fortune, but also for his imposing attractiveness and brilliant intelligence, qualities that made him an unrivaled man in business.

In the social and media sphere, he was known as "the playboy of the show business," as he was rarely seen without the company of a model or artist. However, rumors indicated that among all his conquests there was a favorite: Paula Navarro, a rising model who seemed to have earned a special place in the life of the powerful businessman.

A taxi stopped in front of an imposing building in the heart of the city. Abril Arias, from the window, contemplated the majestic facade. At the top stood the name "PGE Internacional," whose golden marble letters gleamed under the sunlight.

With moist eyes, she sighed before getting out of the vehicle. She paid the fare, adjusted her glasses, and walked towards the reception. Her mere presence immediately attracted attention: she wore designer clothes that revealed her high social status; her shapely figure and delicate, almost porcelain face made her impossible to ignore.

The employees began to murmur. Some suggested that she could be the new conquest of the CEO, Alfonso Brescia, although they were very wrong. In reality, Abril was serving a punishment imposed by her father, also a powerful businessman in the city.

"I am Alfonso Brescia's new secretary. Can you tell me where I should go?" she asked in an arrogant tone. Since childhood, she had been accustomed to giving orders and having everyone submit to her whims. However, her father had decided to give a drastic turn to her "Barbie" life.

The receptionist, surprised both by the way the young woman spoke and by the familiarity with which she referred to the CEO—whom everyone called "President Brescia"—could not believe what she was hearing. To top it off, she was not aware that her boss had hired a new secretary.

"Excuse me, Miss," she replied with a diplomatic smile while typing. "I was not informed of your arrival. Would you be so kind as to give me your name or show me your employee ID?"

Abril frowned. Impatience boiled in her blood.

"I don't know what ID you're talking about. I'm Abril Arias, and if you could hurry up, I would appreciate it. You must be more efficient; I'm not here to waste time."

The receptionist exchanged nervous glances with her colleagues, who, accustomed to dealing with arrogant people, watched her with sympathy and resignation. She, embarrassed, simply continued typing, although there was no trace of "Abril Arias" in the database.

"I'm sorry, Miss," she said cautiously, "but I can't find your name registered. If you want to see the CEO, you must request an appointment. You are not allowed to enter."

Abril's eyes flashed with anger.

"Miss, how dare you! I am not of your same class, nor do I need appointments to see anyone. If I want to see the president of the country, I do, and in an instant, he is sitting next to me. I am not here by choice, but to fulfill an absurd punishment. You better tell me where I should go, or you will regret this insolence for the rest of your life!"

The receptionist's face paled. She had never faced someone so haughty. Holding back tears, she picked up the phone and murmured:

"One moment, I'm going to make a call."

She dialed the CEO's assistant's number.

"Mr. Davila, excuse the interruption. There is a young lady here who claims to be Mr. Brescia's new secretary. Her name is Abril Arias... Should I let her in?"

Boris Davila, busy putting out a media scandal that linked his boss to another woman, raised an eyebrow incredulously.

"New secretary?" he repeated, trying to remember if something had escaped him. "The previous one resigned, yes, but... when was another one hired?"

Annoyed, he hung up and went immediately to the CEO's office. After knocking on the door and getting permission to enter, he reported:

"Boss, there's a young lady at reception who says she's your new secretary. Her name is Abril Arias. I had no knowledge of her hiring."

Alfonso looked up from the computer, frowning.

"Secretary? Aren't you supposed to take care of that? The previous one was incompetent. I hope you have chosen a better one."

Boris suppressed a malicious laugh. New secretary or new lover? he thought. With sarcasm, he replied:

"If you knew how to control yourself in the face of good hips and improved your character, it would be easier to find someone competent."

The CEO glared at him, ready to reprimand him. However, he remembered what his grandmother had told him over the weekend: that a young woman named Abril Arias would arrive to fill the position of secretary and learn about administration from him. She also warned him that he could not fire her without her authorization.

Alfonso sighed and, changing his tone, ordered:

"Let her come up. I almost forgot... it's Grandma's recommendation. We'll see what this woman wants."

Curiosity took hold of him. His grandmother did not trust just anyone, and that was enough to pique his interest.
