From Dude to Damsel

Morning mirror

The alarm clock shrieked, an assault on Alex Ryder's ears. He slammed his hand down on the snooze button, grumbling under his breath. "Five more minutes..."

He burrowed deeper into his pillow, vaguely aware of the sunlight streaming through the blinds. He stretched, feeling the familiar twinge of soreness in his muscles from yesterday's football practice. Life was good. Football, girls, and a scholarship to State were all within his grasp.

Suddenly, a loud crash from the other side of the room shattered the peace.

"Elliot! What the heck are you doing?" Alex groaned, pulling the pillow over his head.

"Uh...sorry?" Elliot Finch's voice was muffled and apologetic. "I, uh, may have knocked over your trophy collection while trying to reach the window."

Alex sighed. Elliot, His roommate. wears thick glasses, usually reads Manga in his free time. basically a weeb. Quite annoying. He's slender, with a slightly stooped posture that hints at hours spent hunched over desks and keyboards. There's a softness to his features, a gentle curve to his lips, and kind, intelligent eyes that always seem to be observing the world with quiet curiosity. Alex always bullied Elliot since middle school, even now in highschool, Alex still bullies Elliot, though not as much. Over the years they had somehow managed to coexist without killing eachother in their shared aparment.

"Just clean it up, Finch," Alex mumbled, still half-asleep. "And try not to break anything else."

He finally dragged himself out of bed, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. He glanced down, expecting to see his usual muscular legs and the body of a greek god.

"What are you staring at?" Elliot mumbled, still picking up broken trophies.

"Nothing," Alex said, shaking his head. He must still be half asleep. "Just…checking."

He padded over to the bathroom, glancing in the mirror. Yup, that was him. Alex Ryder, standing at 6 feet and the school's star quarterback, Alex was the golden boy of the school. He was everything Elliot wasn't. Confident, athletic, and popular. He had a natural charisma that drew people to him. He smirked at his reflection, flexing his biceps.

"Looking good, Ryder," he muttered.

He turned on the shower, letting the hot water cascade over his body. As he shampooed his hair, he couldn't shake the feeling that something was…off. He couldn't quite put his finger on it, but there was a strange tingling sensation all over his skin.

He shrugged it off, chalking it up to pre-season jitters. He had a big game coming up, and the pressure was getting to him.

He finished his shower, grabbed a towel, and stepped out of the shower. As Alex slid a shirt over himself, his clothes felt loose. Without caring why his shirt and pants were loose, he does his usual bicep flex ritual in front of the mirror. As he flexed his arm to make a bicep bulge, there he saw a cute girl standing in loose clothing..
