Chapter 1: The Sacrifice

Taehyung, a quiet and gentle omega, has always carried a secret love for Jungkook. But that love shatters the day he learns the painful truth — Jungkook never loved him. He was only a pawn, used in a cruel game of revenge against Taehyung’s family.

Now alone, Taehyung thinks about the betrayal. About the things Jungkook used to say to him in the past — the care, the love, the happiness, the warm love he once shared with him. All of it now felt like a cruel lie.

He looks up at the sky, his heart heavy, his chest tight with sorrow. Silent tears begin to fall.

"How can he do that to me?" he whispers, his voice trembling. "Am I not a lovable person...?"

The rain begins to pour, and Taehyung lets it hide his tears. He cries — not loudly, not broken — but deeply, silently. A kind of pain that only betrayal can carve into someone’s soul.

After a long moment, soaked and shaking, Taehyung returns home.

As he enters the house, he hears voices — his father, Johan, is speaking with someone in the next room. He listens for a moment and hears the words that shake him: Taehyung’s wedding.

His heart sinks, and he walks in.

"Dad..." he says quietly. "What are you talking about?"

Johan turns to his son, his eyes tired, his voice low. “Taehyung, I need to tell you something important.”

He shares every detail with him — about the debts, about the business, about the people threatening his life. The weight of his failures hangs heavy in the room.

“If I can’t pay the debts, they will kill me,” Johan says, voice cracking. “So, child… can you help me with that? Can you marry someone, so they pay all my debts after your marriage with them?”

There’s a long silence. Taehyung stares at his father, eyes wide, heart pounding.

Johan continues, desperate now. “If you agree, then I will say yes to him. Okay? Please, baby… you know I love you, and your mother, and also your younger brother. I’m doing this for your mom and brother… and also for your sake. I hope you understand.”

Taehyung lowers his head, his lips trembling. His voice is quiet but firm.

“I know, Dad. I know you love me, and my mom, and Jimin. I know you always do good for us,” he says. “I agree to the marriage… if this marriage helps you save the business.”

He steps closer, tears in his eyes.

“But you have to promise me… that you will never force Jimin to marry someone like you’re doing with me,” Taehyung says, voice cracking. “You must always agree with Jimin’s wishes, and fulfill all his dreams… so he can achieve his goals.”

He takes his father's hands in his.

“And love Mom always… and grow the business again after all the debts are paid.”

Johan pulls his son into a hug. Taehyung wraps his arms around him tightly, crying softly.

“I love you, Dad,” he whispers through tears.

Johan holds him close. “I love you too, my child. And I promise you… I’ll fulfill all those promises. I’m so sorry… for everything.”
