Chapter 1:Forbidden love 💞🫂

The crown prince of Wuyong Dynasty sit handsomely on the right throne of the majestic King, while calculative ministers on left are waiting for the king to dispose the crown prince as he was born from concubine.Outside of palace door his lethal bodyguard was ready to step forward when the things went South.The old prime minister Yan had a lot of supports from other corrupted officials in the imperial palace because of Queen consort Yan . Queen consort Yan has been jealous of concubine Lanyi as a child and when she grows up to be a beautiful lady she gets the King's attention and eventually falls for him. They were very affectionate and were free of worries.Things are simple at that time however good things didn't last for a long time. When Daughter of prime minister Yan the current queen consort learned about it, she calls for her maid to bring the lanyi to her backyard and asks her to leave him on her own accord or maids will force her to drink the poison and threaten to end her life . Lanyi knows that Yan Xi means her words but this is not only her life anymore, she is pregnant with the crown prince's baby, in her belly there is another heartbeat growing stronger everyday , she can't bear to do anything to it. She had to endure every Harsh comment and humiliation. She always had to hold her heart tightly so it won't come to loose and get broken , she quietly cries in her pillow when she missed her prince yet had to stay strong for her baby. While the king slowly began to hate her without knowing the truth about her disappearance , now with queen consort Yan xi by the king's side his hatred for lanyi had been fueled by her everyday manipulating words . His resentment for lanyi grows stronger with days. In the imperial palace court the ministry of economy proposed a project on trading business through the sea route system and suggested to build many ports on the island. This proposal has been successfully approved by the King. The king ordered eunuch to assign all the port building tasks to the respective official in charge and the king will oversee the work on a given time limit. On the island ,the village head announced the order and demanded that every household send one person as labour workers for a port building project. Lanyi being pregnant and Single parent without any relatives,she had to participate in a project without any choice. During the process of port building she met a lot of people but her eyes instantly caught the sight of elderly woman with gray hair and they quickly became very close This old woman was Madame.Wang who became very concerned about Lanyi's health after hearing her story. Madam.Wang lost her husband and only son to the war in borderlands. Madam Wang pours her motherly love for lanyi who was an orphan growing up and raised by a court lady for the palace maid .They help each other in every single task, by the six months of pregnancy it becomes very hard for lanyi to engage in the laborious works however the official in charge and village head couldn't buck their cold-stoned heart for the poor Lanyi . For that she has to work like everyone and she almost had a miscarriage by lifting a heavy stone which leads to bleeding. Only with you help of madam Wang had she been able to survive and keep baby safe. One day before the completions of the project king suddenly changed his mind and went on to oversee the progress. Lanyi couldn't hide her anxiety and nervousness upon seeing her beloved prince from the crowd of villagers, Seeing that old Wang quietly grabbed her hand for reassurance and comfort. When praising the peoples of their hard work, the king caught the sight of a familiar face in the corner and came to an abrupt stop in the middle of a sentence which attracted the notice of the village head android saw his eyes fixed upon the one girl in a corner which was pregnant. A Village head thinking that the sight of an unwed pregnant lady has angered the king he calls for the lanyi to come in front of the line and call many bad names without knowing that she was the King's woman by the beginning. With trembling legs,she steps forward towards the king with a fearful heart hoping he wouldn't recognise her. However knowing her miserable life , she knows that luck isn't on her side. On reaching the side of the king she heard her name falling softly and sadly from the king's lips . She was happy to see her prince yet felt guilty at the same time. So she remains unmoved with head down without looking at his eyes. Out of control the king moves to embrace his beloved lady only to fall his eyes on her belly bumps. His mind instantly becomes numb and couldn't process anything for a second. He was so sad that his mood quickly changed to anger and love began to dissolve into the hatred. Upon seeing the reactions of the king she knows that he misunderstood her . When she was about to clarify, he took several steps backwards with resentful eyes. Seeing all this drama unfold in front of villagers, the village head come forward to drag the lanyi to torture chamber with few guards , upon hearing that the king ordered that it was nothing worth punishing no need for village head's intervention yet saving her life. After that king returns to his resting place in the village head 's mansion. Lanyi standing there with head down was so terrified yet relieved couldn't move inches until the old Wang came to shake her sense. After all the interactions between the kings and lanyi old Wang was certain that the child lanyi was carrying is King's baby. Madam Wang knows that lanyi still loves the king dearly but she couldn't tell the truth for baby's sake. So she took these decisions to tell all the truth about it and Lanyi's pain all this time. The king was so heartbroken that he postponed all the courts work and refused every visitor. Then the old madam Wang visited the king in the village head's mansion and denied her but she refused to go back until she saw the king . By hearing all the commotion outside the king had no choice but to agree to her demands .She then told all the things she had come to know about Lanyi and the identity of the baby she is carrying right now. At first the king was not convinced,then the old Wang revealed the truth behind her disappearance that she had been threatened by the queen consort Yan xi. After hearing all the story he was so baffled that he had been fooled by his queen consort and felt sorry for Lanyi's sacrifices and love for him and his child. At first lanyi was so angry with old Wang to take decisions on her own but was also grateful for being by her side . Then the king started to visit her more frequently and the king lengthened his stay in the village, he moved into Lanyi's hut and lived happily together waiting excitedly for their baby boy to arrive.By the end of the eighth month's pregnancy Lanyi's health started to deteriorated and village's doctor told that it was impossible to save both mother and child. The king was so heartbroken by learning the fact and decided to save his beloved lady but lanyi strongly disagreed with the king and made him promise to protect her baby just like she did. He loved her so much that he couldn't say no to her and was willing to fulfill her last promise. Lanyi wants her boy to be called Wu-Lan and she passed away on the day after the birth.
