Chapter 5: Binding Vows

Radah reached out to the unknown, and then she accessed the first touch of power(elemental talent) as her two palms were engulfed in flames, and then she summoned fire 🔥 using her signature technique called/known as heavenly flames parade, in which she summoned flames from heaven down to earth to destroy/annihilate all the berserks. Caelin was shocked 😲 😯 at what he saw, so the stranger person lifted up the hood of the cloak, revealing her identity as a young elegant woman who looked like she was in her mid-thirties. Radah rode away with caelin on her black horse, heading to the obsidian palace.

Caelin -' Who are you, really?

Radah -'You ask a lot of questions '.

Caelin-'Well, I'll keep asking unless you answer my questions'.

Radah -'Alright, I'll only answer one of your questions'.

Caelin -'OK, that's preferable. So, how old are you?

Radah -'I'm more than a hundred 💯 years old. That's all you should know'.

Caelin -'What the hell'

Radah -'Happy now, so where were you heading to before you were attacked?

Caelin -'Also, I forgot to ask, what were those things?They looked human at least, but they weren't.

Radah -'They are called berserks. They are servants of the shadow. No more questions. Where were you heading to before you were attacked?

Caelin -'I was heading to the obsidian palace to meet with my girlfriend. Are you heading there as well?

Radah -'You might say so'.

Radah took caelin with her to the obsidian palace. When caelin met with deirdre, she was very much surprised to see him.

Deirdre -'Why are you here? You're not chosen.

Caelin -'I wasn't even tested, but I came here to see you. I missed you for the past two days you were away from home.

Radah joined the meeting of the horsemen, although she arrived later than expected.

Karan -'You're late again,radah'.

Philip -'Such insolence'.

Radah -'I went on a stroll, then I found a young man being attacked by the berserks, so I had to help him.

Lior -'Well, the most important thing is that you're here now'.

Karan -'Shall we proceed?

Radah -'Of course'.

Morissa -'You know you shouldn't be coming this late to our member meetings.

Radah -'I know, but I had no other choice'.

The first vow is that our powers should not be used as a tool of destruction but rather to protect humanity. The second vow is that no chosen member should betray the chosenhood. The third vow, which is the most crucial, is that no chosen member should, under any circumstance, pledge their souls to the shadow.
