Chapter Five

The car ride was silent, tension hanging in the air like fog. Liliana sat quietly in the passenger seat of Alexander Winston’s sleek black car, her hands resting in her lap, clutching her small work bag a little too tightly. She still wasn’t sure how “we’re leaving” had turned into her being driven home by the CEO himself, but questioning him had seemed pointless. He kept his eyes on the road, one hand on the wheel, the other resting casually, yet there was nothing casual about his presence. It was composed, calculated just like him. Outside, the city lights blurred past the windows, but inside the vehicle, time felt slower, almost suspended. She didn’t dare break the silence, unsure if this was just a ride… or the beginning of something she couldn’t yet name.

"Sir..you can stop here, my house isn't far from this point". She said quietly, Not wanting her best friend to spot her in a car with her boss

No response

"Sir...?"She called again

"Can't you see that I'm driving Miss Liliana?". He replied sharply.

She was caught off guard,her words cut in her throat. She simply nodded in silence

Moments later the car came to a halt

"Miss Liliana,Mr. Black invited me to a dinner, and

my secretary will have to come with me ".He said without turning.

"Okay,sir".She responded, almost in a whisper

"Don't worry about the clothes_ you'll need something fitting.I will send them to you", he added

She nodded again. "Thanks for the ride,sir".

She opened the door, stepped out,and stood still until he drove away from her compound.

The moment turned around,she was met with her best friend questioning eyes.

"it's not what you think,Irene,"She said quickly trying to explain.

"Wasn't that your boss, Liliana?"Irene asked, eyebrows raised and a teasing grin on her face

"Yes Irene. But listen he only offered to help me because it was late."She explained, already heading up the stairs

She climbed to her room, open the door,and threw herself onto the bed. Today had been her first day at the company,but.... what strange day for it to end

Sitting up again,she began undressing, pulling off her clothes until she was left in only her bra and underwear. Then she walked straight to the bathroom without another word

"Miss Liliana, Mr Black invited me for a dinner and my secretary will have to come with me".he said

"Okay sir". she he said

"Don't worry about the clothes you gonna ,I will send them to you ".he said

She just nodded "Thanks for the ride sir". She opened the door and got down and waited until he drove out of her compound

She turned and was meet with with her best friend questioning eyes

"Not what you think irena". She tried to explain immediately

"Isn't that your boss Liliana". Irene asked with a wide and some funny expression on her face

"Yes Irene, listen he only wanted to help because it was late". she explained

She climbed the stairs of her room and open the door and rushed to her bed and laid down today was her first day in the company but...... she stood and pulled off her clothes remaining her bra and underwear and went to the bathroom
