Chapter Three

I stepped out of Mr Winston office and closed the door quietly behind me I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. Working with him was more harder than I expected. He doesn't say less then three words and it's annoying, he doesn't show any emotion.

"Miss Lilian".A voice called from behind. She turned to see a young handsome guy jogging towards her

"Hey....do I know you?" She asked, a bit confused

"Michael Ivan". he said, offering a quick smile

"Okay, I'm Liliana", She said politely

"So I was wondering ...if you might be free tonight the CEO is throwing a ground party for his employees",

" I don't know... but do you need help with something", She asked, still unsure why he was telling her

"Actually I was hoping you'd be my date". He said grinning

She smiled,"I don't think so Michael".

"Why not?Has someone already asked you out?"

"Nope. I'm just not interested in the party. I have alot of work to do". She said politely

"Okay Then". he said and walked off, looking slightly disappointed

"Gosh!, what was that".She exclaimed calmly

Later in the evening , employees are leaving the company to grab what they needed for the party. Liliana was at her desk , packing up her files and materials, about ready to call it a day. Just as she reached for her bag,the telephone on her desk rang

" Miss Liliana, to my office. Now".Mr Winston's came through ,firm and abrupt . He hunged up before she could respond

She sighed and dropped the files she had already gathered. Why did he always wait till the last minute?.

She stood up brushed down her skirt and walked to Mr Winston's office . Her heels clicked softly against the floor as her mind reaced.

Did something go wrong?Did I make any mistake?

She knocked gently and opened the door after hearing his voice

"Come in", he said not looking up from his laptop

She stepped inside and stood by the desk waiting for him to speak . The room was quite forfew seconds before he finally looked up at her

"Why aren't you getting ready for the party?". He asked his tone flat

" I didn't plan to attend sir ". She replied calmly

He leaned back in his chair watching her closely "you're part of this company now, Miss Liliana Your presence is expected ". He stated

" Sir but..".

"No buts, Miss Liliana ". He said firmly cutting her off "Go to the employee changing room to change".
