After 8th grade ended, I... my mind wasn't right. In the midst of it all, I was still with Owen. I regret it but the past is in the past, we can't change it. I had lost feelings slowly by time to the point that I intentionally didn't want to read what he was typing. While that was happening, I was starting to have feelings for Flynn...

I don't need to share more details than needed, a few weeks before 9th grade started, I... blocked Owen and told his best friend I wanted to break up with him. I really wasn't thinking straight back then, it's just messed up, and this is coming from present me, the narrator, right now.

So after that, I confessed to Flynn, he accepted it but I didn't really have a slight increase of happiness since I just broke up with someone in an instant for someone else, whom I knew way less. I kinda have a feeling that it's probably because I mirrored Jessica's behavior on hoping from a boy to another, but I think it's just my brain trying to cover up that I did something that I shouldn't.

By the time the first day of 9th grade started, I'm in the same class as Jessica, with one other person who's in the group with Jasper and Liam, I didn't really pay attention towards it.

Owen tried asking me for confirmation but I just ignored him, drowned by guilt and my consciousness to swallow my pride. He tried asking other people that was close to me on why I suddenly wanted to break up with him, but I just chose a random excuse, a dumb one if I recall but it's in the past now. I'm now with Flynn... I think I'm going to take back my confession, I don't really know if it's what that's called, I just wanted to undo what I did.

Simon, after graduating junior high school, went and took a year off school since he said that he wanted to continue his studies abroad, he's still in the city but not in the same school anymore. Flynn's still in the same school, but in 11th grade now.

Break time, I sat next to Jessica and told her everything, not really everything, just some key points like I broke up with Owen, and I'm now with Flynn.

This b**ch really has the audacity of going back and forth but with my mind in too much guilt and still trying to have a plan on how I wanted to undo my mistake. I plainly requested, "Oh, good timing, I actually wanted to take back my confession and you can confess to him if you want.."

"Oh, great idea Veli, I'm going to write him a letter, and you can give it to him"

So, I think the next day? She gave me the 'love letter' or note, and I went to meet up with him. "Hey Flynn"

"Yeah, Hi Veli"

"So.. Look, I don't think this will kinda work out, and I wanted to take back my confession..."

His face became shocked at my reply but he kept silent, I didn't want to ask any further, "And also, this is from Jessica" while giving him the letter she gave.

"Oh... Alright, I should go back first, I'll tell you later in the second break time", The bell had rung for the high schoolers and after he left, then I did and I went up to Jessica.

"So, what did he say?" asked Jessica waiting for an answer, not noticing my expression but I can't blame her since people have a hard time reading my expressions unless I intentionally make faces that people can read easily and understand. I think they have a hard time since nobody kinda realizes it, they're too busy in their own world to realize other's.

"He said that he'll have an answer ready at the second break time"

"Oh alright then, let's go back to class"

I just nodded and we studied until the second break time, no need for further explanation, he just flat out rejected her.
