chapter 5: she has a caring boyfriend

Chen xinyi felt like visiting the ladies room. She stood up from her chair.

" Miss shi, I'm off to the ladies room". She said to shi mei as she passed her cubicle. It's the first time for her. She took the lift to the down floor in search for the rest room. However she couldn't find it unknown to her that each floor have a rest room.

" Hi, how can I locate the ladies room" she asked a woman that was passing by who directed her to take the lift to the sixteen floor.

Following her directive, she found the ladies room.

As she was washing her hand, she heard the clicking of heels behind her.

She looked up and was surprised to see....

" Xinyi, what are you doing here".

Miaomiao asked, her face filled with total shock.

" Just passing by, I was really pressed so I was directed here".

Xinyi could sense the red flag waving at her.

Miaomiao smirked " Are you looking for work?"

" Certainly" xinyi lied.

Miaomiao expression softened, her mouth curved in a half smile.

" What a pity, I'm afraid it's not easy to get a job here. This is a big corporation. It certainly out of your league.".

" Really?" Xinyi asked like she was really ignorant of what she was intended.

" Yeah, your qualifications isn't fit for a big corporation like Lz. Why not try small factory. You can be lucky there.".

Such an advice dripping with sarcasm, xinyi felt like laughing.

" Ok thank you".

" You should leave now, you can't just be wandering around a big corporation like this as if it belongs to you." She snorted

Chen xinyi bade farewell and left .

HRM staff office

Chen xinyi phone started ringing, seeing that it's her bestie. She didn't hesitate to answer even though she was in the midst of her fellow colleagues chatting casually.

" I'm waiting for you outside the gate" the cello like voice of Baobei made the ladies around her to turn.

" Huh!" Xinyi exclaimed.

That exclamation was for various reasons, firstly, she realized the phone was on speaker so naturally her colleagues heard it, secondly, she was surprised that baobei came to pick here up and thirdly she heard someone said " her boyfriend is so caring".

" Hurry up, we have somewhere to go, aren't you done with work?" Baobei added

" Ok I will be down shortly".

" Wow, your boyfriend is so manly". Miss shi said after the call was disconnected.

" Boyfriend?" Xinyi asked in amazement.

" It's okay, we understand you are shy". One of them said, patting her shoulder.

Xinyi was lost for a moment " No, I don't have a b....."

" He must be very handsome, even his voice can drown many in the sea." One of them yan xing remarked

Xinyi wonder if she complimenting.

Wait, this is baobei they are talking about.

Though Gu baobei can be mistaken as a man cause she has this deep and mellow voice of a man. Even her physical features make her identical to a male, in school she was regarded as a tomboy, xinyi remembered an iconic scene that happened while they were in high school Where a girl who had crush on baobei made a public confession to her. It was also an embarrassing scene for the girl.

Chen xinyi gathered her stuff, waved to her colleagues. They were still talking about how she is lucky even when she was miles away, however xinyi didn't know how to correct the mistake.

Inside the car, baobei open the door as she sighted her afar.

" Hey".

Xinyi enter inside, she looked at baobei with a somewhat provoking and weird gaze. Even baobei felt intimidated".

" What's wrong" she asked

" Next time you wanna speak with me while I'm at work, use a feminine tone." Baobei burst out in laughter before she even finish speaking.

" I'm serious" xinyi pouted.

" Ok, ok, what's happened?"

Baobei asked, while holding back her laughter.

" Can you imagine I was being envied for having a caring boyfriend who picks me up from work".

" Really, how come I never knew that. Where is he".

Xinyi kick her leg " fuck off".

Baobei chuckled " alright, I will stop teasing you".

" Fasten your seatbelt" xinyi reminder baobei as she also reach out for her seatbelt".

Baobei drove the car out of the company

" Hey, guess who I ran into at the station today?"

Xinyi leaned closer to her " Tell me".

" Qi sile, you remember her right" baobei said

" Wasn't she abroad with her wealthy family". Xinyi reasoned

" I was surprised too, she didn't even look prestigious like back in school".

" Something might be wrong, wasn't she a friend of miaomiao?"

"Yeah but Ah yi, I think you should be cautious toward her especially now that you work in the same company".

Xinyi tilted her head " I met her today... Hey that reminds me, Mrs Wang gave me a new assignment today, so I will be very busy from tomorrow".

" No big deal, I know you can do it".

Xinyi smiled at the compliment

" Have you message him yet". baobei asked

Chen xinyi shook her head, " I don't know what to say".

" I will help you,let get home first."

Serene residential area.

The two ladies sat on the bed facing their laptop, each of them doing their own work.

" Ah yi, I just sent something to your phone, check it out".

Xinyi glanced at her phone that immediately lit up with a notification.

She opened the message, it was a photo, actually a faint picture of someone back view profile.

" This is..?"

" The only photo of Lz corporation CEO, I searched the entire web for two days only to get this". baobei declared.

" Wow," Chen xinyi stared at the photo " I heard he is very mysterious, have phobia for appearance, ruthless, blood thirsty, arrogant and merciless. He dismiss workers fastest than he changes his underwear".

" Huh, you truly believed that, it's just rumors". Baobei replied.

" But in every rumors, there is an atone of truth."

" Hey what if you have seen him before.."

" Impossible I will die from fright".

Baobei chuckled " you still act like a child, seriously I was just thinking, what if that Li guy is actually Li Zhiyuan, the CEO of Lz".

" I don't think that is possible."

" But there is only one famous Li family in Xi'an."

Xinyi shook her head " there can never be such coincidence". Xinyi studied the photo again and truly couldn't find any similarity or familiarity with the young and handsome man in her memory.

" Didn't you promise to help me message him?"xinyi passed her phone over as she made the statement.

" Ok ". Baobei send a friend request directly via WeChat to him.

Then she changed xinyi name to anonymous sender. The summer picture that she use for her profile pic was changed to a blank picture with the word YI.

" What are you doing" xinyi peek into the phone and was dumbfounded. She couldn't understand what she was doing and her finger was moving so fast like Air.

It was without a doubt that her best friend was very professional and versatile in this hacking stuff.

" I will explain later"

Baobei send a message " Hello, good evening".

_ No response!

She sent another message "message me back, it urgent".

" Huh, what's urgent". Xinyi asked.

Baobei scratch her head thinking of an explanation" This is the only way to get his attention".

" Okay"

They waited two minutes, thirty minutes, 1 hour, Two .....

" Argh, I'm sleepy". Xinyi rubbed her eyes.

" Wait for a few more minutes".

" En, goodnight" xinyi fell on the bed.
