Roxanne strode into the campus, her eyes widened in awe of the environment. It was much better than her former one, not to talk of the buildings carrying a hint of luxury this is far better than Rong City University it's such a pity she won't be able to graduate and enjoy the years in the environment. She thought with a bitter smile on her lips

Her hardwork paid off after all, she doesn't have to pay for the tuition fee for this next two years cause of the scholarship exam she passed which covers the whole tuition.

Clearing her head and heading to the principal's office which was deserted with no student around, she clutch her bag to the side tightly with one hand and the other with the paperwork she need to submit.

Darren, I'm sorry about yesterday I didn't expect him to come and make trouble. We just talked and make some things clear. I swear there's nothing between us anymore. I already told him I'm done with him but I don't understand why he can't let go. Please don't get angry at him because of that, I will......

Roxanne stood transfixed on the spot sighing before speaking out

Excuse me, you are blocking the way. Her soft gentle voice came breaking the tense and awkward moment between the two.

The lady ran off in embarrassment glaring at her before she took off.

The person named Darren glance at her briefly before looking away as if her existence had no meaning, taking in his lips and wiping his hands with an hanky he left without looking back.

Roxanne shook her head remembering the indifferent eyes with which he had looked at her with as if she's of no importance, then chuckle inwardly that because her existence truly had no value and it's going to end soon.

Putting on a smile, she knocked on the door and went in after receiving a response.

Good morning ma'am. She greeted

Oh, you are the scholarship student right?

Yes ma'am

Great, just sign this and this. Be careful who you offend in this school, this is not like your former school don't cause any trouble else the scholarship will be terminated. The principal said

Thank you ma'am.

A poor girl in the midst of wolves, hope she will last a day. The principal mumbled as she (Roxanne) went out of the office

Walking to her new class, she reminded herself not to care about what people say about her and just live like the air, invisible to everyone and live the short year she has left peacefully without much regrets.

The students sat inside the class doing nothing particular , some in groups talking about random topics, some reading and other just there. The attention was diverted towards the person who came in, the once loud environment becoming as silent as a graveyard creating a kind of tension in the atmosphere. The person cleared her throat nervously opening her mouth to speak

Aren't you the scholarship student! Someone spoke

What? A scholarship student in our class? Is the school joking or what? Another person said in an irritated tone

Insignificant. Another added and with that everyone's attention withdraw from her

I thought it was a joke when it was announced the school is giving out scholarship. Someone said

Now we have to be in the same space with this lowlife. Another frown in disgust

Dd you see those faded jeans and shoes. The stench of poverty all over her makes me sick.

She bit her lips hard to suppress the pain she felt in her heart course of the words as she made her to the empty seat at the back of the class while everyone ignored her as if she doesn't exist.

Just what she wanted right! A peaceful life, invisible to others.

Hey, did you seduced someone to secured the scholarship? I heard people from low background like you can do anything to achieve what they want. Are you here to look for wealthy patrons to satisfy you and take care of you? A guy said causing the whole class to roar in laughter

Meanwhile in another class, a guy was watching the whole scene happening in Roxanne's class through his phone and his aura turn cold making the person sitting next to him to tremble unconsciously.

Let's see how long you can last here newbie. Darren thought closing his peach blossom eyes to take a nap before class begins.
