Prologue

The air reeked of iron and smoke.

Jeon Jungkook staggered across the marble floor, blood dripping from the corner of his lips, his vision clouded by betrayal. His once-loyal men now aimed their weapons at him, eyes cold, greedy for the throne he had built with his own hands.

He laughed bitterly, the sound ragged and broken.

“Pathetic… all of you. Do you think killing me will end my reign?”

One of them sneered.

“It’s already over, Jungkook. You were too obsessed… too blinded by him.”

The mention of him made Jungkook’s heart clench. Even as his world crumbled, one name burned inside his chest— Kim Taehyung.

His Taehyung.

His angel, his downfall.

Gunshots echoed. Pain bloomed across his chest like fire. He fell to his knees, blood pooling beneath him. But even in those final moments, his thoughts weren’t of revenge alone. They were of him.

As his pulse slowed, Jungkook whispered into the void:

“If I’m cursed to be reborn… I’ll come back. I’ll hunt every one of you down. And this time—Taehyung, I won’t lose you. You’ll be mine until eternity breaks.”

His breath stilled. His eyes, once sharp and merciless, closed for the last time.

Darkness swallowed him whole.

But death wasn’t the end.

Somewhere beyond the veil, a voice stirred—a whisper, ancient and cruel:

“Your wish will be granted. But remember, Jeon Jungkook… obsession has a price.”

And with that, his soul ignited. A fire of vengeance. A promise of love.

A rebirth.
