Episode 2 (First Time Meet)

Jane is busy talking on the phone.

Jane: “Alright, I will call you later, Kate. Thanks for the help.”

She put down the phone and start arranged all the paper and files on her desk.

Jane: “Okay, nearly finished.”

Wayne: “So, you free now?”

Hearing someone's voice suddenly makes her quite shock when seeing Wayne already in her office.

Jane: “Since when you standing there?”

Jane saw him laying against the wall.

Wayne: “Hmm, about 1 min ago.”

Jane: “Are you sure? How come I didn't realize... Ugh, whatever. I am busy right now.”

Wayne walked slowly to her desk.

Wayne: “I clearly heard you said ‘nearly finished' my dear Jane.”

Jane looked at him and sighed.

Wayne: “Don’t worry. All are on me.”

Jane: “Okay, but pick Daniel first.”

Wayne: “Sure, let’s go, darling.”

Jane: “Uhuh, Stop calling me that. You make people think we are in a relationship.”

Wayne: “Really? Did people think that? Uwu.That’s nice.”

Jane hit his shoulder.

Wayne: “Ouch, that’s hurt.”

Jane: “You deserve it.”

Wayne burst to laugh.

-- At school --

Wayne and Jane arrive at school to fetch Daniel for lunch.

Wayne: “Alright, here we are. You want to pick him or me?"

Jane: "It's okay, I go. You stay here."

Wayne: “Alright. Be careful. Anything just call me, okay.”

Jane: “Alright.”

Jane get out of the car and walks into the school looking for Daniel. While Wayne is sitting in the car waiting for her. Suddenly he saw a black car arrive and park in front of his car. Someone got out of the car. He saw a familiar face on that person. Wayne got out of the car and greeted that person.

Wayne: “Alex, is that you?!”

Alexander: “Wayne??? Oh my god. Did you just come back from Japan?”

They hugged each other.

Wayne: “Yup, about a month ago.”

Alexander: “Oh I see. So, what are you doing here?”

Wayne: “Oh, I waiting for my friend to pick up her son here, and having lunch”

Alexander: “A friend huh? Not a wife?”

Alexander making suspicious faces towards Wayne.

Wayne: "Ugh, not yet. In progress now. Not easy...seriously. A single mother with a son, quite difficult.”

Alexander & Wayne: “Hahahaha”

Alexander: “Good luck Wayne.”

Wayne: “Oh that’s so nice of you. Are you here fetching Aurora?”

Alexander: “Yup, waiting for her right now.”

Wayne: “Uh, how old is she now?”

Alexander: “4 years old.”

Wayne: “Ah, I see. My future son are 5 years old now.”

Alexander: “Your confidence level really something huh?”

Wayne: “Like always”

Wayne & Alexander: “Hahahahahaha”

Alexander: “I am just gonna say this, Wayne. Put all your effort into it. It really was not easy to get someone's heart when they already have a child in their life. Too cautious.”

Alexander put his hand on Wayne's shoulder showing him he supported all his effort in getting someone he loves.

Wayne: “Thanks bud for your advice.”

Aurora: “Daddy!”

Aurora runs toward her dad.

Alexander: “Hey, my princess. Sorry for not realizing you here. Come, daddy want to show you my best friend.”

Alexander lifted Aurora up and put her in his arms.

Wayne: “Hey, Little Aurora.”

Wayne smiled at her.

Alexander: “You can call him Uncle Wayne. Do you remember, you received a gift from Japan for your third birthday? This uncle posted it for you. He stayed there before, now he moved here.”

Aurora shook her head when she remembered the gift she received.

Aurora: “Thanks for the gift, Uncle Wayne.”

Wayne: “You such a sweet little girl, Aurora. You are welcome.”

At the same time, Jane and Daniel are walking toward them. Daniel saw Wayne outside of the school entrance talking to someone.

Daniel: “Uncle Wayne is here too?!”

Jane: “Yup, He want to have lunch with you.”

Daniel: “Yeayyy”

Daniel too excited makes him runs towards Wayne and hugs him. Wayne was shocked and turned to see who hug him.

Wayne: “Oh hey my little boy. Already finished your school?”

Wayne hugged him back.

Daniel: “Yup.”

Then, Jane reaches Wayne.

Jane: “Wayne…”

Jane: “Who are you talking to?”

Wayne: “Oh Jane. Meet Alexander. He has been my best friend since we were in school.”

She looked at Alexander and Aurora. They give a smile to her and Daniel.

Jane: “Hi, I am Jane, and this is my son, Daniel.”

Daniel looked at Alexander and gave a smile. Alexander looked at his face and he seemed much alike with someone he knows. At that moment, he can’t get enough to look at Daniel's smile. Jane realizes Alexander is staring at Daniel.

Jane: “Is there something wrong, Mr. Alexander?”

Alexander: “Oh no, it just, feel something familiar. Cute.”

He smiled at Daniel.

Jane: “Oh okay.”

She looked at Daniel and asked him to greet Alexander.

Jane: “Daniel, greet uncle, Alexander.”

Daniel: “Hi, Uncle Alexander.”

Alexander: “Hi Daniel. You should call me Uncle Alex only next time since my name is long enough to call out for.”

Alexander: “Aurora, greet Aunt Jane and Daniel.”

Aurora took a look at them and hid behind her dad but still waved her hands to them.

Alexander: “I am sorry, she's just felt shy meeting someone new.”

Jane reply her waves and smile.

Jane: “Oh it’s okay. That’s normal for kids.”

Jane: “Uhm, Wayne... We wait for you in the car, okay.”

Wayne: “Uh yeah.”

Jane and Daniel got into the car.

Wayne: “I need to go now, buddy. We can meet up after this right? You have my number, right? Wait, I changed my number.”

Wayne looked for his card in his pants pocket. Draw out the wallet and pick the name card. He gave it to Alexander.

Wayne: “Here, my card. Do not forget to save my number.”

Alexander: “Oh, alright. Thanks for the card. I will contact you. See you again.”

Wayne: “Alright bud, you too."

They had a handshake. Wayne left them and went into the car. He started the engine and drove the car. When passing by Alexander, he hit the car honk. Alexander waved his hand to them while lifting his daughter. Aurora looked at Wayne's car. She hugged her dad.

Aurora: “Aunt Jane is quite pretty, daddy.”

Aurora whispers to her dad.

Alexander: Well, want to share with your dad why you like her?

Alexander looked at her daughter's face while opening the door to get into the car.

Aurora: “Well, maybe she is beautiful. I am jealous of that boy.”

Aurora hugged her dad again in the car. Maurice started the car and drove away.

Alexander: “Why are you jealous of Daniel, honey?”

Aurora: “Well, he had a beautiful mom.“

Aurora: “My classmates always talk about them going shopping together with their moms, helping them choose the dress, playing with dolls, and bedtime stories. It sounds fun.”

Aurora talks to her dad while looking outside of the car through the windows. Alexander knows what her daughter is feeling right now.

Alexander: “Hey, little princess. Here.”

Alexander hugs his daughter and starts talking.

Alexander: “Daddy gonna apologize to you because I could not give you a mom that you really want. But daddy will make sure this little princess is going to have happiness as long as daddy is beside you.”

Alexander: “And you know what? Daniel does not have a dad. He just had a mom only. But still, he managed to be a happy person. And you have me as your dad. Are you not happy with me?”

Aurora looked at her daddy's face and smiled.

Aurora: “No Daddy, you really are the best.”

Alexander: “You are the best too.”

They hugged each other.

-- At Western Restaurant --

Wayne took Jane and Daniel having lunch at Western Restaurant. He already made reservation. He goes to the counter asking the waitress.

Wayne: “May I know our table?My booking number is 1504.”

Waitress: "Let me check, hmmm... booking on Mr. Wayne, right?"

Wayne: "Yup"

Waitress: "Alright, let me show you the table"

They follow the waitress to their table.

Jane:“ You made reservation”?

Wayne: "Yup"

Jane: “ We just want to have lunch, not a dinner date”

Wayne: “OMG babe, we are not far from those. After all having you and daniel is a date to me”

He smiled naughtily to Jane.

Jane: “ You really like to do something difficult huh?”

Wayne: “Nah, this is not difficult”

Wayne looked directly to her eyes and respond.

Wayne: “You are the difficult one"

He winked at Jane.

Jane: “Childish...”

Waitress: “Here is your table”

Wayne:"Thank you"

Wayne pulls the chair for Jane.

Wayne: "Have a seat."

Jane: "Thank you gentlemen."

Wayne: "At your service."

He also pulls the chair for Daniel.

Wayne: "Here you go, baby boy."

Daniel: "Thank you, Uncle."

Wayne: "Welcome baby"

The waitress arrives for the confirmation.

Waitress: “Booking for Mr. Wayne?”

The waitress asked Wayne about booking.

Wayne: “ Yes.”

Waitress: “Alright, thank you. We will bring the dishes soon.”

Wayne: “Sure, Welcome”

The waitress goes to the kitchen to get the food for them. After the waitress leaves them, Jane asks Wayne.

Jane: “Since when did you book?”

Wayne: “Guess it.”

Jane: “Today?”

Wayne: “Nope, yesterday”

Jane: “Wow... Well prepared”

Jane praises him for his early preparation.

Wayne: “Thank you for the praise. Haha”

The waitress brings the food to the table.

Waitress:  “Enjoy”

The Waitress smiled at them after serving the food and leaves.

Jane: “Wow, if that grilled lamb shoulder for me, I am proud of you, Wayne”

Wayne: “That really is for you, Jane”

Daniel: “And if this is my favorite pepperoni pizza, I loved you, Uncle Wayne”

Wayne: “Of course, it is your favorite pepperoni pizza”

Wayne smiled looked at their happy face and was excited to see the food that has been served. He seems satisfied with his effort in choosing the menu.

Wayne: “So, what are we waiting for, let’s dig in”

Jane & Daniel: “Alright!”

-- At Highfield Technology Company --

Alexander and Louise are busy reading the document and discussing preparation for launching a new software security system for next month.

Alexander: “What are we missing right now, Louise?”

Louise: “The ambassador, sir”

Alexander: “Alright. About getting feedback from our random tester, do they already collect the result?”

Louise: “Yup, they already collected it 2 weeks ago. Now, they are working to put it on the official website, pamphlet, ads, and montage for presentation”

Alexander: “Good, keep that speed. I liked it”

Alexander: “Hmm, about that ambassador thing, do you have any suggestions?”

Louise: “Right now, our team suggest cooperating with Treasure Entertainment”

Alexander: “Explain”

Louise: “They suggest appointing Cheryl Tang as our ambassador because she has quite an incredible popularity. She won the best artist in the Film Award 3 months ago. So they thought it would be best if we have her”

Alexander: “Treasure Entertainment huh...”

Louise: “Also, she has an interest in updating on her social media about new gadgets. She always shares with her fans the latest gadget she bought and shares the best features with her fans. It seems like she has an interest in gadget things or maybe game freak I thought so”

Alexander remembered Wayne's business card stating that agency name. He search for Wayne's business card from his wallet. He gave the card to Louise.

Alexander: “Louise, take this card and contact this person. Discuss our plan with them and ask whether they interested to cooperate with us or not”

Louise: “ Alright, sir.”

Alexander: “You may go now. Louise, please add this tomorrow at Cafe Greenville, 9 pm for Mr. Wayne personally.”

Louise: "Alright, sir."

-- At Treasure Entertainment --

Wayne runs to Jane's office room after getting a call.

Wayne: "Miss executive, we had a call from a big company asking our artist to be their ambassador"

Jane: "Well, from whom Mr. Vice president? "

Wayne: "Hehe, from Highfield Technology. I am the best right?"

Jane: "You really are the best. Congrats, but how do they contact you personally? We have too many agents for them to contact, but they choose to contact our Mr. Vice president."

Wayne: "It's Alex. He is the president of that big company. Remember I introduced you to my friend in front of Daniel's school? That's him"

Jane: "What?! That was awesome! So, what are you gonna do now?"

Wayne: "I actually want to discuss these things with you."

Jane: "Oh, come in now. Tell me more about it. Before that, does their agent want to come here for a briefing?"

Wayne: "They will come if we are interested."

Jane: "I see... then, who do they want?"

Wayne: "Cheryl Tang"

Jane: "Okay, tell me more"
