Chapter 2 – Sparks of War

The city never slept. But tonight, it bled.

🌙 The Blackwood Empire

Angel Blackwood’s laughter echoed through the marble hall, sharp as broken glass.

On the table lay a man—her own lieutenant—his shirt torn open, blood dripping from his chest where her silver dagger had kissed his skin.

“You thought you could steal from me?” she purred, circling him like a predator. “You thought… I wouldn’t know?”

The man begged, trembling, but Angel’s emerald eyes glowed with pure fire. She lifted his chin with her dagger and whispered:

“Blackwood doesn’t forgive. It erases.”

Her hand didn’t even flinch when she slit his throat in one clean motion. The blood spilled across the table, staining her red dress darker. She leaned back in her throne, her lips curling into a smirk.

Around her, the men stood frozen, fear crawling in their veins. Angel twirled the dagger once and said,

“Clean this mess. And find out who sent him. No one—no one—messes with me and lives to tell.”

The Queen of Blackwood was furious. And when she was furious, the entire underworld burned.

🌑 The Shadow Empire

On the other side of the city, silence reigned.

Lusifer Meadows stood in a dimly lit room, staring at the bloodied package thrown at his feet. Inside it lay the severed hand of one of his closest men—his ring still shining on the cold dead fingers.

The room was filled with his men, all waiting for his reaction. But Lusifer didn’t rage, didn’t shout. He simply crouched, picked up the severed hand, and studied it. His expression unreadable, his eyes darker than night.

After what felt like hours, his deep voice finally broke the silence:

“Bury him with honor. And find the rat who dared touch what’s mine.”

He stood, his tall frame casting a shadow across the entire room. His fists clenched, veins dark against his pale skin.

“When I find him…” his voice was a whisper of death, “…the streets will drown in blood.”

The Lord of Shadows didn’t need to scream his fury. His silence was far more terrifying.

⚔️ The Call for a Meeting

By midnight, the city shook with whispers. Two empires, both hit, both furious. The balance was breaking. And when balance broke, the entire underworld trembled.

An urgent council was called—the Gathering of the Lords. The most feared mafia rulers across continents would gather. A place where enemies sat at the same table, where power was measured in presence, not guns.

For years, Angel and Lusifer had ruled their worlds separately. They had never stood face-to-face. Until tonight.

🔥 The Meeting of Lords

The underground hall was lit with golden chandeliers and lined with armed guards. Every mafia lord present carried their empire in their eyes. Yet when the heavy double doors opened, silence fell.

Angel Blackwood entered first. Her black silk gown clung to her curves, diamonds dripping from her throat, her gun strapped openly to her thigh like a piece of jewelry. Her walk was fire—slow, sensual, dangerous. Heads turned, hearts stopped.

She smirked, her voice echoing across the hall:

“Gentlemen. I see the world hasn’t collapsed without me… yet.”

Her throne at the long table was waiting, and she claimed it like a queen claiming her kingdom.

Then, the second entrance came.

The chandeliers flickered as if shadows themselves walked in. Lusifer Meadows appeared, dressed in black, eyes cold as steel. He didn’t look at anyone, yet everyone felt his presence slice through their skin.

He walked with deliberate slowness, the silence of death following him. Unlike Angel, he didn’t speak. He simply sat, his gaze finally lifting—and meeting hers.

For the first time, emerald fire met abyssal darkness.

The room felt charged, as if two storms had collided.

Her lips curved in a mocking smile. His jaw tightened, eyes narrowing, drinking in her every move.

“Blackwood,” Lusifer said at last, his voice low and cutting.

“Meadows,” she replied, her tone dripping with venomous sweetness.

They didn’t need to shout. The obsession, the challenge, the fury—it was all there in their eyes.

The Lords around them shifted uncomfortably, sensing it:

This wasn’t just enemies meeting.

This was desire disguised as war.

And the city… would never be the same again.
