CHAPTER 5: EXPLANATION

Another peaceful day had passed. Austin's father stood at the window of their house, watching Austin diligently train in their yard. As he observed, a realization struck him Austin would soon turn seventeen. It was time to teach Austin everything he knew. Grabbing his sword, Austin's father decided to join him.

As he approached, Austin noticed his father and asked, "Father, why did you come out?"

His father replied, "Austin, it's time to taught you all that I know, rather than just the basics and sparring with you. It's time to reveal the world to you. Now, stop what you're doing and follow me."

The boy, his expression filled with concern, said, "Yes, Father."

Austin and his father walked together and sat beneath a tree.

While sitting, Austin looked scared and worried. His father spoke, "Austin, my real name is Victor. I am a second rate mercenary."

Austin asked curiously, "Father, I already know your name, but what does 'second rate' mean, and what is a 'mercenary'?"

Victor explained, " 'Second rate' is a measurement of one's strength, and a 'mercenary' is an occupation fraught with danger."

Austin said, "Father, if there are measurements, may I know all the measurements in this world?"

Victor replied, "Alright, I'll tell you. In our magic continent, we use measurements like third rate, second rate, and first rate for warriors who use qi. There are levels above those, but only those in the Murim care about them, which is why our magic continent doesn't have complete measurements for people who use qi."

Austin asked, "Why, Father? Can you explain?"

Victor said, "Our world has three known continents the magic continent, the Murim continent, and the science continent. Besides these, there are still unexplored lands."

Austin asked, "Father, why are they still unexplored?"

Victor replied, "You'll know when the time comes, but for now, let's return to our main topic. Our magic continent and the Murim continent have been at war for countless years. It only stopped when those unexplored lands were discovered. Because of the dangers and resources, the two continents and the science continent chose to team up, but anger still simmers between them. Limiting the measurements shows how much they hate the Murim people."

Austin said, "Then what measurements should we use?"

Victor replied, "I only use second rate because I'm in the magic continent, but the real measurements for people who use qi are the measurements of Murim."

Austin asked, "What are the measurements of Murim then?"

Victor replied, "There are unlimited measurements in Murim. They're called LEVELS and divided into four stages beginner, intermediate, advanced, and peak."

Austin asked, "Father, what is your level in Murim measurements?"

Victor replied, "I'm level twenty and at the peak stage."

Austin replied, "Wow, you're really strong, Father! But why are you only second rate in the magic continent measurements?"

Victor replied, "Those magicians are just lazy. They don't even care to correct and complete their measurements, so one to nineteen is third rate, twenty to thirty-nine is second rate, and as for first rate, it's forty to infinite. They're lazy, and all strong people who use qi are just called first rate."

Austin replied, "Wow I didn't know that, maybe that's why those magicians and murim warriors clash their qi and mana to each other during those carriages entering. But still I'm curious father what is stronger between qi and mana?"

Victor replied, "There's none it all depends on the users also I haven't told you the measurements for mages yet."

Austin said, "Yes Father, please can you also tell me the measurements for mages?"

Victor replied and said "Of course I will tell you about that. The measurements for mage are called CIRCLES its about a condensed mana that encircled their hearts and each part of their body the more circle they have the stronger and the more mana they can gather and store."

Austin replied, "Isn't human body have limited numbers? Then the circle's also have limit."

Victor replied and said "Mage also know that and come up for a way instead of just letting it encircled it through each part of their body they all condensed all the accumulated circles into one once they reach the maximum circles making it more stronger compared to the previous one its called rebirth just like murim people they all have limitations but once they condensed them all in to one it will be stronger than anyone else making it limitless and each time they reach One-hundred level they all rebirth just like One-hundred circle and after rebirth there's still a measurements after rebirth called enhance rebirth and so on I will not explain the rest as it's only those immortal and archmage who live in space have reach enhance rebirth and above."

Austin replied "Wow, the worlds really full of powerfull people. I must train more than before if I want to protect you father."

Victor replied and said "Train for yourself and save people who needs it and ruthlessly kill people if u want it. I only want the best for you my child."

Austin replied "Your the only person I want to protect father" and Austin firmly said it and Victor just smiled.
