WHAT BETWEEN THEM..

Morning at the Mansion…

Everyone was already downstairs, busy with their daily routines. Jin was in the kitchen, preparing food. Taekook were occupied with their wedding plans, making a list for shopping. Namjoon was sitting on the couch, completely unaware of the chaos around him.

Suddenly, a loud noise echoed through the mansion—the front door swung open with full force.

There, standing at the entrance, was a man dressed in stylish clothes, wearing sunglasses, looking absolutely stunning. His radiant smile could light up the entire room. Without wasting a second, he ran straight into the kitchen and hugged Jin tightly from behind.

“Jinnie! I missed you so much!” he exclaimed.

Jin, without even turning to look, smiled and said, “Hobi…”

He turned around and hugged him properly. “You came!” Jin’s eyes sparkled with happiness.

Namjoon, noticing them from afar, walked over and gently pulled Jin by his wrist. “He’s mine, okay? Why are you always so clingy?” he said with a fake pout.

Jin laughed and stood beside Namjoon. Hobi chuckled. “Hey, calm down, bro. I know he’s all yours. I’m not stealing him—can’t I hug my brother-in-law without your permission?”

All three of them laughed and shared a warm hug.

“I missed you too, Joonie,” Hobi said, stepping back.

“Me too, Hobi,” Namjoon replied with his signature dimple smile.

“Hey! Did you forget about me?” Jungkook said as he came running and hugged Hobi tightly.

“No way, my little chap! How could I ever forget you?” Hobi said, hugging him back. “But you're not so little anymore… you’re getting married now!” he teased, giving Jungkook a playful punch on the shoulder.

Jungkook smiled shyly and looked at Taehyung, who was standing nearby.

“Come, I want you to meet someone,” Jungkook said, leading Hobi toward Taehyung.

“Hyung, this is Taehyung,” Jungkook said sweetly.

“Annyeonghaseyo, Hobi hyung,” Taehyung greeted respectfully with a polite bow.

“Ohh, so you’re the one who stole my Kookie’s heart, hmm?” Hobi teased, making Taehyung blush deep red.

“Hyunggg, stop teasing us,” Jungkook said, shyly looking down.

Hobi laughed, clearly enjoying their flustered reactions. “Okay, okay! I’ll stop now. Go handle your husband—his cheeks are red like a tomato!”

They all burst out laughing.

Just then, Yoongi came downstairs, unaware of Hobi’s arrival. He casually walked to the couch and sat down.

“Oh my god! Yoongi! You’re here too?” Hobi shouted in disbelief.

Yoongi turned and finally noticed him. Hobi ran toward him and hugged him tightly.

Yoongi hugged him back. After a moment, they pulled apart.

“Oh my god, Yoongi, I can’t believe this! You’re really here, in front of me!”

Yoongi smirked. “Nope, I’m not Yoongi. I’m his ghost. You’re seeing things.” He lightly hit Hobi’s shoulder.

They laughed and hugged again.

“How are you, Yoongi?” Hobi asked, sitting beside him.

“I’m fine. And you?”

“As I recall, it’s been 5 years since we met.”

“Yeah, and it feels like ages,” Yoongi replied.

Taekook and Namjin joined them. “You came at the right time, Hyung,” Jungkook said. “We’re going shopping today!”

“Yes, Hobi, freshen up quickly. Then we’ll head out,” Jin added before going back to the kitchen to finish cooking. Namjoon returned to his laptop, while Taekook resumed making the shopping list. Yoongi went to the garden for a walk.

While making the list, Taehyung’s face turned sad. Jungkook noticed the change and gently held his hand.

“Tea, what happened? Why do you look like that?”

“Nothing…” Taehyung whispered, looking down.

Jungkook asked again, “Tell me, Tea. What’s bothering you?”

Finally, Taehyung broke down. “I... I miss my bestie,” he said, tears rolling down his cheeks. “I miss him so badly, Kookie…”

Jungkook pulled him into a warm hug. “Aww, Tea… stop crying, okay? You know I hate seeing tears in your eyes.”

Taehyung nodded, wiping his tears. “You invited him, right? Then he’ll come soon. Don’t cry, please, for me,” Jungkook said, cupping his face and placing a soft kiss on his forehead.

Taehyung smiled, wiping away the rest of his tears and getting back to the list.

Suddenly, someone came from behind and gently covered Taehyung’s eyes with warm hands.

Taehyung froze at the familiar touch. His tears welled up again. Slowly, he removed the hands and turned around.

The person standing there was someone he missed with all his heart.

“Soulmate…” was the first word that escaped his lips before hugging him tightly.

The other person embraced him just as tight.

They cried, clutching onto each other like long-lost pieces of the same soul. Namjin rushed over upon hearing Taehyung’s sobs and saw the emotional scene. Jungkook stood silently, overwhelmed by the moment. No words were needed—their tears spoke everything.

Kookie stood there, speechless.

He didn’t have any words. No words strong enough to describe how much they had missed each other.

Their eyes, their tears—those were the only proof of the pain they had buried deep inside. Proof of how much they craved a single hug, a single touch, to feel whole again.

This moment wasn’t just emotional for them... it reached everyone in the room. Namjin, too, had tears in their eyes.

Then suddenly... a gentle voice broke the heavy silence.

“Aww, my crybaby… now stop crying,” the person said softly, wiping Taehyung’s tears.

“See, I’m here… I’m right in front of your eyes,” he added, cupping Tae’s face gently with both hands.

Tae slowly reached up, touching the hand that cupped his face. His eyes searched the other’s face with shaky breaths.

“I know… I know… you’re here. You’re right in front of me,” Tae whispered, his voice trembling. “I know my mochi is here.”

They both chuckled through their tears and pulled each other into a warm, tight hug again.

But this time… they noticed something.

Everyone’s gaze was on them—soft, emotional, and full of warmth.

Even Hobi came downstairs, drawn by the energy of the heartfelt moment unfolding.

Finally, Taehyung took a deep breath and spoke, “Let me introduce you to everyone.”

He gently grabbed his mochi’s hand and led him forward.

He stood in front of Namjin first.

“Hyung… this is Jimin. My best friend… my soulmate.”

Jimin smiled and bowed respectfully.

“Annyeonghaseyo, hyungs,” he greeted softly.

Then Taehyung turned towards Hobi.

“And this is Hobi hyung,” he introduced with a bright smile.

Jimin greeted Hobi too with a polite bow.

And finally… Taehyung brought Jimin in front of Kookie.

“Kookie, he’s… he’s Jimin. The one I told you about before.”

Jungkook’s eyes widened slightly, but he offered his hand warmly.

“Hi, Kookie,” Jimin said, flashing his angelic smile.

“Hi, Jimin,” Kookie replied, his bunny smile lighting up his whole face.

(Now the family is complete, right… dear readers?)

They all sat on the couch, chatting, laughing.

Tae and Jimin began telling stories—funny, embarrassing, heartfelt—about their friendship, their bond, their journey.

Everything seemed perfect.

So smooth.

So normal.

Until… he arrived.

---

Yoongi’s POV:

I came to the garden because something felt strange.

An emotion. A vibe I couldn’t explain.

Something in the air told me someone… special… was near.

Like something was going to happen.

I felt uneasy, so I stepped outside for air. But after a while, I heard noise—voices, laughter.

So I came back inside… just to check.

---

Yoongi walked into the hall, lost in thought.

He didn’t notice Jimin at first—his back was facing Yoongi.

But something tugged at his heart.

Something… or someone… was here.

His eyes scanned the room, landing on a figure he didn’t recognize.

Or rather… thought he didn’t recognize.

Confused, he tilted his head.

That’s when Taehyung noticed him.

“Hyung! Come here—I want to introduce you to someone special,” Taehyung called out.

Yoongi slowly walked forward, eyes still fixed on the back of the stranger.

The closer he got, the louder his heartbeat echoed in his ears.

And then…

“Jimin, this is Yoongi hyung,” Taehyung said.

Jimin turned around.

The moment their eyes met, the world stood still.

Jimin’s eyes widened in shock. His heartbeat wasn’t normal—it felt like it was going to leap out of his chest.

He froze.

Yoongi froze too.

Thoughts stormed through his head.

How is he here?

What’s his connection with Taehyung?

How do they know each other?

They just… stared.

No one spoke.

“Hyung?” Taehyung called again, snapping Yoongi out of his trance.

“Y-Yes… yes, Tae,” Yoongi replied, blinking rapidly—still staring at Jimin.

“Where were you lost?” Tae asked, raising an eyebrow playfully.

Yoongi nodded slowly, still distracted.

“hyung … this is Jimin. My best friend. Or you could say… my soulmate,” Taehyung said with a proud smile.

Jimin looked at Tae briefly but turned back to Yoongi almost immediately.

“Say hi,” Tae encouraged with a grin.

Their eyes locked again.

Neither spoke.

Their eyes were doing all the talking—eyes that held pain, questions, memories.

Like something had happened between them.

Something deep. Something that still haunted them.

Jimin’s eyes glistened as he tried hard to hold back tears.

Yoongi extended his hand for a handshake.

Jimin hesitated. He looked at Yoongi, unsure… scared.

But slowly, he lifted his hand.

His fingers trembled as their hands met.

Yoongi’s heart raced faster.

And then… Jimin broke.

The tears fell.

He tried.

He really tried to control it.

But he couldn’t.

His legs trembled.

His breath became uneven.

He almost collapsed.

But before he could fall, Tae caught him.

“Mochi! What happened?” Tae asked, panic in his voice.

“I-I’m fine, Tae,” Jimin managed with a soft, weak smile. “Just tired from the travel… that’s all.”

Yoongi had taken a step forward too, but Tae had already caught him.

“Take him to his room,” Jin said, worry clear in his tone.

Taehyung nodded and gently guided Jimin upstairs.

Before leaving, Jimin glanced at Yoongi once more.

His eyes still watery.

Yoongi stood there, silently… watching him go.

---

In Jimin’s room…

“Mochi,” Tae said softly, placing him gently on the bed, “Now take some rest. I’ll come back and wake you up later, hmm?”

He tapped Jimin’s head gently.

Jimin nodded with a faint smile before Tae left.

Now alone… the room felt colder.

Jimin’s heart was still pounding.

His mind wouldn’t stop racing.

Why is he here?

Why did I meet him again?

Why now…? Why…?

Tears began to fall silently.

His pillow muffled his sobs as he whispered to himself,

“Why…?”

---

(Why did they react like that, readers? 🤔

Do they know each other?

What happened between them?

You’ll find out… soon.

Until then, enjoy the twist…)
