FAMILY REUNION...🫂

Yoongi sat quietly at the dinner table, his eyes lost in the shadows of his thoughts. The soft chatter and laughter of his family buzzed around him like a distant echo. He was there—but not really. His heart was wandering somewhere else… someone else.

“Hyung… Yoongi hyung…”

A soft voice pulled him back. It was Tea, tapping gently on his shoulder. Yoongi blinked a few times, his expression slowly shifting from dazed to confused.

“Where were you lost?” Tea asked genuinely, a slight tension in his voice. “Do you… miss someone? Or you don’t like our chatting?”

Yoongi tilted his head slightly, the confusion now spreading to his face. “Hmm? Did you say something, Tea?”

“Sorry,” he added with an apologetic gummy smile, “I wasn’t paying attention. What did you say?”

Everyone at the table paused, chopsticks mid-air, eyes locked on Yoongi in surprise. It wasn’t like him to drift off during family moments.

He noticed the sudden silence, and his heart skipped—he realized he had slipped. He awkwardly smiled and tried to lighten the moment. “Why did you all stop eating?” he asked, still smiling as he picked up more food. “Aren’t you hungry?”

Still stunned, they stared at him, trying to read his face. He took another big bite—his mouth already full—then spoke again, struggling to get his words out.

“This food is so delicious… I swear, I’m just lost in this devilishly tasty meal!” he said, barely chewing, mouth full.

Everyone blinked… then burst out laughing.

Yoongi pouted, puffing his cheeks dramatically. “Stop staring and eat your own food! I’m not sharing mine!”

Just like that, the tension broke. Everyone chuckled, the room warmed again with laughter. And as always, Yoongi successfully hid the storm in his chest behind a gummy smile and humor.

---

After dinner, they all made their way to the garden. A cozy cold breeze passed through the fairy-tale-like setting, where fairy lights glowed like stars. Each couple sat close, warmth blooming between them in the chilly air.

They were talking about everything and nothing, when Tea suddenly blurted, “Hyung, your hands are magical! I’ve never had such delicious food before.”

He held Jin’s hand with a genuine smile, and Jin’s face lit up with pride.

Yoongi nodded in agreement. “Tea’s right. Your hands are something special, Jin hyung. I missed your food every single day.”

He leaned back on the bench, letting out a soft sigh. “No matter what fancy restaurants I’ve been to, nothing compares.”

But Jin’s smile slowly faded. “Liar,” he said flatly.

Yoongi straightened up, startled. “Me? A liar? Are you joking, hyung?”

“No,” Jin replied seriously, locking eyes with him. “If you really missed my food, you would’ve come back earlier. You only came because of Taekook’s wedding. Otherwise, you forgot you had a family.”

The garden fell silent.

Jin’s voice cracked as he continued, “Your last visit was five years ago. After your college graduation. And even then, you only came to say you were leaving for New York.”

Namjoon, quiet till now, spoke too, his tone sad but firm. “He’s right. We invited you when Kookie graduated… when we threw a small party. You didn’t come. Isn’t that… rude?”

“And thank god you came now,” Namjoon added, “or we would’ve thought you’d skip this too.”

Kookie’s voice was the softest but hit the hardest. “Do you really not like me, hyung? Do you… hate me?”

Those words shattered Yoongi’s heart.

Without hesitation, he rushed to Jungkook and wrapped him in a tight hug. “Are you mad, Kookie?! Why would I hate you? Don’t ever say something so stupid again.”

He pulled back slightly and gently wiped away Jungkook’s tears. “I’m proud of you. So proud. You took responsibility at such a young age… you’re amazing, okay? And remember something—print it in your tiny brain.”

He placed both hands on Jungkook’s shoulders. “You are the one I love the most. You’re my precious younger brother. Who… isn’t little anymore. You’re getting married now.”

Jungkook finally smiled through his tears.

Yoongi stood and turned toward Namjin. “Hyungggg…” he dragged the word, guilt written all over his face. “I know I made mistakes. I know I hurt you. But please believe me… I missed you all every single second of my life.”

He knelt beside Jin, taking his hand.

“I had to train. I had classes… It wasn’t that I forgot you, I just… I couldn’t leave,” Yoongi whispered. “No matter how fancy the meals were, they always felt incomplete. Because your food… your warmth… was missing.”

Tears finally rolled down his cheeks.

Jin gently pulled him close, letting Yoongi cry in his lap. Namjoon wiped his tears with shaking hands.

“Don’t cry,” he said softly. “We know how much you missed us. We missed you too… this family wasn’t complete without you.”

Jin cupped Yoongi’s face, his own cheeks wet with tears. “And you look terrible when you cry. You don’t like looking bad, right?”

Joonie gave Yoongi a side hug, while Jin kissed his forehead gently.

If someone had witnessed this moment, they’d cry too. The warmth… the love… it was overwhelming. They stood up and pulled into a tight group hug, foreheads touching, tears flowing like soft rain.

Taehyung and Jungkook stood nearby, watching the reunion with tender smiles before joining in. A full family hug formed, hearts full and finally reunited.

---

After some peaceful silence, Namjoon stretched and yawned. “So… are you staying overnight, Yoongi?”

Jin chuckled. “Go sleep now. It’s already midnight. Tomorrow, we’re going wedding shopping.”

Taekook exchanged a knowing glance and giggled.

Yoongi raised a brow and teased, “Ohh hello, love birds! Stop with your secret smiles. Go sleep. You can romance after marriage.”

Everyone laughed.

Kookie mumbled under his breath, “Romance blocker…” and pouted.

Tea heard and burst into laughter.

After sometime Everyone went their own way, wishing each other goodnight. One by one, they disappeared into their rooms, ready to end the long day. But…

Just as Tae was about to close the door to his room, Kookie slipped inside without a word and locked the door behind him with a click.

Tae stood frozen, trying to process what had just happened. But before he could utter a single word, Kookie pinned him gently against the nearest wall. Tae’s back hit the cold surface with a soft thud, and before he knew it, Kookie had both of Tae’s hands locked with his own.

Leaning closer, Kookie whispered in Tae’s ear, his voice deep and teasing, "So, Mr. Husband… what did you say this afternoon?"

Tae’s breath hitched as the memory flashed in his mind.

Kookie leaned in even further, closing the tiny gap between them, and whispered in a huskier voice, "You said you chose me, didn’t you?"

A mischievous smirk danced on his lips.

Tae’s cheeks flushed deep red. His heart was racing, butterflies going wild in his stomach. He tried to turn away, to push Kookie back, but Kookie’s grip was firm. Tae couldn’t even look into his eyes—his gaze stayed lowered, lips trembling.

“K-Koo… Kookie... l-leave me… someone might come in,” Tae stammered, still unable to meet his gaze.

Kookie chuckled softly, brushing his lips against Tae’s forehead, “Seriously, Tae? It’s midnight. Who’s going to show up now just to check what we do at night?”

Tae’s eyes fluttered shut at the soft kiss, heart hammering against his chest.

Mustering up courage, he finally looked at Kookie. He didn’t say anything—but his eyes spoke volumes.

Kookie sighed, smirk still lingering, then gently let Tae go and flopped onto the bed. Tae stood in place, completely stunned.

Kookie turned to look at him and called out playfully, “Tae, don’t worry. I won’t eat you. Come here and sleep.”

Tae shook his head in disbelief, but slowly walked over and lay down beside him.

The moment he did, Kookie wrapped an arm around Tae’s bare waist, pulling him close and turning him to face him.

Tae’s eyes widened in surprise at the sudden closeness. Kookie mumbled sleepily, tightening his grip, “Good night, love. I think now you’ll sleep peacefully…”

And just like that, Kookie fell asleep, still holding Tae protectively.

Tae, now facing Kookie, couldn’t help but stare at his peaceful face. The warmth of Kookie’s arms, the soft kiss earlier, and his words—all played over in his mind like a melody.

A strange flutter danced in his chest. Before he knew it, Tae leaned forward and pressed a gentle kiss on Kookie’s cheek. Then, smiling softly, he rested his head on Kookie’s chest, wrapping an arm around him.

And finally… fell asleep in his safe place.

(Are you blushing, reader? Hmmm… imagining yourself as Tae, aren’t you? Then stop blushing, hehe…)

With Namjin…

Meanwhile, in another room, Namjin had their own little moment.

After a while, Jin came to Namjoon, holding a glass of juice.

Jin softly: “Here...”

Namjoon looked up from his laptop and gave him a small smile, taking the juice.

Namjoon: “Thanks, hyung.”

Jin sat beside him, his expression still showing concern.

Jin: “You're working again? Don’t you think you should rest? You’ve barely slept these days.”

Namjoon sighed, closing his laptop.

Namjoon: “I just want everything to go perfectly... especially now that Yoongi hyung is back. It feels like the whole house is breathing again.”

Jin gave a small smile and placed his hand over Namjoon’s.

Jin: “I missed his sarcastic comments.”

Namjoon chuckled: “And you hated them back then.”

Jin: “I still do. But... I’d rather have that than silence.”

They sat in silence for a moment before Jin leaned his head on Namjoon’s shoulder.

Jin: “Do you think he’s okay?” The way he’s crying…

His tears aren’t just for us.

Not just because he missed us...

There’s more.

There’s a deeper pain hidden behind those silent sobs.

No matter how much he pretends to be strong, his eyes…

His eyes always betray him.

Every time.

Those eyes—so full of stories, of pain, of something he won’t let out.

He thinks he’s hiding it well.

But he’s not.

Not from us.

Because we know him…

We know him way too well.

Jin sighed deeply, his heart heavy just watching Yoongi like that.

He didn't say anything. No one did.

The silence spoke louder.

And with that, Jin slowly made his way to the bed…

Namjoon: “He pretends he is. But I know he’s not.” he whisper

Jin was exhausted from the day’s work and didn’t waste a single second. He flopped onto the bed, sighing in relief.

Namjoon stood by the bed, arms crossed, watching Jin with a fond smile.

Noticing the gaze, Jin opened his eyes halfway and mumbled, “Why are you standing there? Don’t you want to sleep too?”

But Namjoon didn’t move an inch. Instead, he tilted his head and said teasingly, “ i don't want juice. I want something sweet, something more juice than the juice Jinnie.”

Jin blinked slowly, confused. “What…? You want sweets? At midnight?”

Namjoon glanced at the clock—it was already 12:30 a.m.

“I’m so tired, Joon… If you want sweets, go to the kitchen and help yourself,” Jin replied in a groggy, frustrated tone.

Namjoon smirked, stepping closer. “I will eat what I want. Are you sure about that, Jinnie?”

Before Jin could respond, Namjoon pulled him close by the waist, closing the distance between them.

Jin’s eyes flew open in shock. “W-What are you doing, Joon?!” he asked, trying to wriggle out of his grasp.

Namjoon leaned close to his lips and whispered, “Didn’t you just say I can eat whatever I want? Well… I want my favorite sweet. You, Jinnie.”

Jin froze, knowing too well that when Joon got this playful, there was no escape.

“Don’t move, sweetheart,” Namjoon warned in a low voice, holding him tighter, “Or you know what will happen.”

And then… he claimed his “sweet” with a kiss, deep and warm, like honey melting on the tongue.

(Can you blame him, readers? Jin’s cherry-flavored lips were too tempting. How could Namjoon possibly resist?)😉

After their sweet moment, the two finally curled up in bed, holding each other close, hearts beating in sync.

But on the other side of the mansion…

Someone else wasn’t sleeping with smiles. Someone was breaking silently.

Yoongi walked into his room, his eyes still glistening with unshed tears. As soon as he closed the door behind him, his knees gave out and he collapsed onto the cold floor.

He didn’t hold back anymore. He cried. Soft, broken sobs escaped him—not for the family function he missed, not for being away from them for so long.

This time… the tears were for someone else.

Someone he missed deeply.

Someone he loved more than himself.

Someone… he lost.

With trembling hands, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small photo. His eyes locked onto the image through his blurry vision.

“I’m so stupid… so stupid…” he whispered, voice cracking. “I ruined everything. My anger… my ego… it pushed you away.”

He cursed himself under his breath, tears falling freely as he pressed the photo to his chest. Slowly, the exhaustion of emotions pulled him into an uneasy sleep, still on the floor.

---

The mansion slept.

Some with love-filled memories…

Some with broken ones.

Memories—like two sides of the same coin.

Sometimes they make us smile…

Sometimes, they make us cry.

---

Someone special is coming soon in this story…

Just wait.
