This is more of a story than a tale or a legend; it's about a rather special and unusual fish, and the concept of time.
Every plan we develop has a beginning and an end. Yes, there's another part where we observe the actual outcome, then comes success with the result, or failure in the absence of the latter.
So, as I was saying, there was a fish. It's usually found attached to a wooden board that can be hung. The fish is mechanized and fixed to it. It can talk because it contains a recorded tape that, if everything is set correctly, is triggered when the detector inside detects something within its range.
As for the details, it's done. Okay. So here's the thing, I mustn't forget to mention that: A couple living together traveled for business. A trip, that is.
The husband went abroad and the wife went to the neighboring town. All this happened before April 1st.
The couple has children who no longer live with their parents, as they are adults, working, settled in the same city, and have children of their own.
On April 1st, the wife called her husband abroad and told him she was returning that same day. She then learned from her husband that he might not return until the weekend due to work, and that the signal was poor, and he would only be reachable once he returned from his expedition.
She then took her car from the parking lot near the airport and drove to their house. After taking the key from their shared lockbox, she opened the door and crossed the living room after leaving her luggage in the entrance.
It was in front of her open fridge, thinking about what she could drink after this long trip, that something clicked in her head.
She rushed to the house phone and called the police, then sat down and didn't touch anything until one of their cars arrived.
The two uniformed officers were very well received, then sat back down on the couch. She said this: "I've been burglarized."
The officers completed their inspection and then returned to her. They hadn't noticed any signs of a break-in, the premises were tidy, and the neighborhood interview hadn't revealed any suspicious presence around the area.
But something was definitely missing: that fish.
Took to the station, she was joined by her children and grandchildren. From there, the police, with difficulty, managed to contact her husband, who was stunned by the news and promised to return as soon as possible.
The case was closed. When the husband returned the next day, the woman burst into tears into the arms of her beloved, surrounded by her entire family present to accompany her during this difficult time.
On the first floor, in one of the rooms set up for children to play, here is what two of these grandchildren had to say.
_ What got into you?
_ It was an April Fool's joke.
_ Oh yes, and now everyone's crying. You're going to get scolded.
_ We'll give it back later.
_ When, on St. Glin Glin's Day.
_ It was your idea.
_ Since when have you been listening to me?
_ Please help me.
Whether you're an adult, a child, or an old person, remember this: a good joke is defined by time, and the best ones are the ones we all laugh at together at the end.
In fact, she's not crying in her husband's arms, but laughing until she cries because she found the poison in her grandson's bag, and the conversation upstairs is audible to everyone below.
