Destiny Of My Dreams

Destiny Of My Dreams

Episode 1

All I could hear was the clock ticking every second and the students scribbling on their papers the math answers. While I was stuck thinking of an answer on the second page 3rd question. I was chewing my pencil like a beaver, thinking of a possible answer. I was stuck like that for 16 minutes before I started daydreaming of myself in space. Landing on an unknown planet. But that all popped when I heard the bell ring, signaling us that school was over for the day.

We all stood up talking, bustling to the teacher’s desk while the teacher, Ms. Rivers, was collecting our papers. She looked at me disappointed, I know you can do better. Before turning to the next person to collect the rest of the papers. She announced that the test scores would come out in a few days.

I was walking home when my friend Vivian ran up to me panting and yelling. “Deja, Deja wait for me. You weren’t going to leave me right?”

“Sorry I was so focused on my dream and working on my math homework, that I just wasn’t focused..” I replied.

“You can come over to my house, I can help,” Vivian exclaimed.

“Great. I’ll have to ask my mom.” I said hesitantly, I took out my phone and pressed on my mom’s picture. I put it against my ear and heard the ringing.

She answered, “Yes, honey.”

“Can I go to Vivian’s house to study,” I asked.

“Ok, But make sure that you are home before 7:00.”

“Kay, love you. Bye.” And I hung up.

I turned to Vivian.

“So what did she say?”

“I could go.”

“YES!” yelled Vivian.

Exterior 3:00 PM

Vivian’s house: Eating sandwiches while studying in the math book that is 260 pages long.

“Ugh I’m dying,” I groaned

“I know ugh,” Vivian said, all tired.

“Why am I so terrible at math?” I replied.

“You're not terrible at math.” Vivian popped up.

“Yes, I am.” I groaned.

I check the time. “Oh my god, I’ll be late for dinner, my moms gonna kill me.” I quickly grab my stuff, hug my friend goodbye, stuff a sandwich in my mouth, and nearly trip when I scamper down the stairs. I run into her step-brother Egan, the hot jock?. I look up at him, his broad shoulders, big biceps and muscles, his pretty lips, messy brown hazel hair, and his beautiful chocolate brown eyes. I quickly tell myself to snap out of it. I ran out the door.

I checked my watch, “It's 6:45 I only have 15 minutes.” Luckily I lived a few blocks away

I run as fast as I can, my phone rings, it's my mother I answer while I run, “Sweetie, where are you?”

“I’m almost home. See you in 5 minutes.” I hang up and run even harder, my legs are burning like the sun.

I can finally see my house. I slow down to rest. I turn to a jog, then walk. I noticed I started sweating and panting. I quickly wipe my sweat with the sleeve of my sweater. I fish my backpack for the keys and finally make it home. I tell my mom that I already ate at Vivian’s house and that I am going to take a shower.

I couldn’t stop thinking about Egan, Egan Xanders the hot jock from school but was my best friend’s stepbrother. How do I tell her that I like her impossible brother? After I got out of the shower I decided that I should forget about it. I walk up to my bed drying my hair while I pick up my phone. I check my phone for any news from my friend. So far nothing, I start to work on my essay for English class when my phone lights up with a text message from Vivian talking about match-making, great. I forgot about prom,

“Oh God,” I groan as I pick up my phone.

Vivian is talking about who she is going to bring for her date. While I am here with no clue.

I text her, “No clue who I am bringing, but I hope it is someone hot.”
